JD is the type of person that people should aspire NOT to be like. He's essentially a confused little boy who needs to grow up.
I do not like JD but, he was honestly accurate in describing Devyn and Katelynn...I mean Devyn does think she is a diva and Katelynn does play the victim card and flaunts her sexuality too much....Honestly I consider myself to be a great person but, if someone like Devyn approaches me well I would knock her off her high horse also...and I think people just expected Katelynn and JD to get along since they are LGBT but, people quickly forget the gay scene has more jealous drama within itself than with the hetero community...it was just destiny that they hate eachother...

Katelynn does play the victim card and flaunts her sexuality too much....
ok, let me go on her defense here for a minute. I don't think it's Katelyn who plays the victim card this season, I think you are referring to Sarah. Cut Kate a bit of slack, she wanted to ENJOY HER NEW FEMALE BODY, that's what she said to her roommates on her being flirty, dancing the firefighter pole, etc.

I merely think, like travis85 said, she was merely enjoying her new body. As for it "being destiny that they hate eachother"...disagree with that. They simply have their own views, they may or may not disagree, and that's bound to cause some friction.

He may feel like that about them in general. But to me, what he thinks about them in general is kind of separate from this interview, based on the fact that he spoke about specific situations. What we have been discussing in this thread recently is his interview, so that's what I'm going to focus on when I write what I'm about to write, and not what he thinks about them in general. People think he came across badly in that interview for certain reasons and that's because of how he answered some questions. When some of us were saying he came across as delusional and not understanding things, it's because of how he answered the questions and spoke about the situations. I feel JD stating some of those things in his interview really didn't have much to do with the questions he was asked, and it felt like he specifically tried to bring up certain things to point out the flaws of the others when it didn't have much to do with the interview. I don't think Katelynn flaunting has much, if anything, to do with why they aren't close. It's clear Katelynn was not cool with him telling her business, and I think she possibly may not have been as close with him after that situation (correct me if I'm wrong, please). JD was asked about him and Katelynn hitting it off right away, and he brings up the fact that he feels she plays victim and that's why they don't get along. Well, guess what - he told personal information of hers that she hadn't revealed to others yet. And he knew she wouldn't be cool with it, or else he wouldn't have said, "You didn't hear this from me" when talking with the guys during the ride to Gettysburg. So he should understand why she wouldn't be cool with him. That she has a side and it plays a big part in why they aren't close. Devyn doesn't seem to have a big problem with the diva thing - we have witnessed JD and Katelynn call Devyn "Diva" as a nickname, and not in a bad way. But how much does her being a diva and drinking as a minor have to do with JD presenting a certain image (which is what he was asked)? What does the reason she does the show have to do with him doing the show - he is the one who bought up the topic of people doing the show for selfish reasons. Well, most people doing this show don't do it to be role models, or this show would have a completely different premise altogether. About the immigrant thing - he mentions Chet will go to great lengths to get screen time and it seems that is JD's explanation for Chet getting upset with him about the nasty immigrant rant. But couldn't Chet have actually been upset about it? I do think Chet likes a lot of attention, but I do think he is nice in general (though he has some shaky moments) and I could see that rant sitting bad with him because that rant didn't sit well with me. Some people watching from home were upset about it, and they weren't seeking attention. What it boils down to, to me, is that JD doesn't see that he says and does things to people that cause them to be upset with him. He's not seeing his part. It sounds like he is putting the blame on them or shifting blame in certain parts of the interviews by bringing up other things. It's like he doesn't see the side of the other person. Yes, being interviewed about yourself can cause you to totally focus on your side of things, as it does present a stage for you to talk about yourself. Sometimes you don't see the side of others when you don't agree with them as well. However he specifically brought up some of these issues in the interview in which his cast mates had issues with what he did, and he misses the mark of why they were upset with him. I hope all of that made some sense.
I forgot to mention this the other day and surprised no one else did but Chet had a brief bit on The Soup Awards last weekend. He got the Award for (paraphrasing here) "I'm not gay...seriously guys...". He popped out of a closet and pretended to talk about football with Joel and presented him with a sequined jersey. I know Chet gets some grief on the boards but the bit was pretty funny and he's a good sport about his tv characterization.

[moderator added: The following is from The Real World: Brooklyn - Episode 8 Burning Questions : RealityWanted.com: Reality TV, Game Show, Talk Show, All Things Unscripted Social Network Casting Community ]
Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Why is that the guys in the house can get along with JD but the girls can't? A. Chet: That is a burning good question... such that my ****** hair is singed just reading it. JD is a great person and one that is possessed of maternal (not a typo) instincts. He was constantly cleaning the house, buying food for others and using a rather impressive rolodex to further everyone's ambitious purposes. Baya's dance instructor....JD's friend. The man who remedied Katelyn's do-it-yourself highlights....JD's friend. Because JD could let things slide, I felt that the girls acquired a sense of dominance when confrontation did arise between him and one of the females. In episode 8, we were able to see Sarah's unwillingness when JD tried, sincerely, to create a more peaceful environment. Why didn't they like him? I don't know.
Glad someone is finally giving us accurate honest description of JD.

JD's my boy. The show wouldn't be the same without him.

Everywhere I look everyone is congratulating Chet. Does anyone know why?
Everywhere I look everyone is congratulating Chet. Does anyone know why?
I heard he got cast in some new MTV comedy show.

Wha....??
Yeah...I'm a little confused as well. He never really struck me as hilarious.
I will NOT be tuning into that show. I don't think I found anything he did humorous...

I think he has funny moments and a decent knack for hosting. I hope he does well.
I think he has funny moments and a decent knack for hosting. I hope he does well.
I think he is a pretty good host too and got better with each interview he did, especially for not having too much experience. I guess I just don't really have the same sense of humor as him. Not knowing anything about the show, I would much rather see him in a hosting type situation than a full on comedy/sketch show. But that's just me. He seems to have the drive to do well and I am sure he will.
Yeah...I'm a little confused as well. He never really struck me as hilarious.
I'm more confused at the fact that MTV would attempt to do a comedy show. But yeah Congrats to Chet.
I could see Chet hosting the comedy show rather than participating. Regardless, congratulations to Chet and I hope he does well.

Would I watch a comedy show feat. Chet and Ryan? Yes. Those two have a great dynamic.
Would I watch a comedy show feat. Chet and Ryan? Yes. Those two have a great dynamic.
Of course, but they wouldn't be together (in person) until at least next year!

Right but I just liked the idea. :D
A younger Chet Cannon, or Johnny circa 1970? I must say, it's hard to tell.
