Real World Houses
If anyone is interested in the architecture of the house, or perhaps any pre- or post-production photos...check this website out. The Real Truth Behind MTV's The Real World Houses It's actually got pretty interesting facts about the seasons, what they look like now, floor plans, and has photos of the house in case you forgot what it looked like :)

I love looking at the houses and checking out some stuff I may have missed about the house.
IIRC, the New Orleans house was trashed after hurricane Katrina.
IIRC? The location of the house would suggest that it was not near the major destruction of Hurricane Katrina. From what I recall, it did not endure any flooding damage, just wind damage. I saw the house in 07 and it did not looked trashed except for the outside of the gates. Then again, not much of NOLA looked amazingly clean around Mardi Gras time...
I was told the New Orleans mansion didn't suffer much damage besides minor wind damage.
IIRC?
Hee, that means "If I Recall Correctly". Sheesh I spend too much time on this forum. ;)
I was told the New Orleans mansion didn't suffer much damage besides minor wind damage.
Apparently I didn't recall correctly. :o
$359,500 for a Mansion? Geez, I need to move...
Go to the website and you'll find out for yourself what the addresses are...
I mean to say "favorite". I'll go edit my post now :)
I mean to say "favorite". I'll go edit my post now :)
Haha...I was gonna say! I like the way that Philly's house was set up (very open). Miami, Hawaii, LA, and San Fran houses had amazing views. New Orleans, Austin, and Vegas had the most going on in the surrounding area (Mardi Gras, 6th St and...well, Vegas) Overall, I might have to say Miami. Tons of windows, beautiful view, and great weather. The former CEO of Ford bought the house a few years back...wonder if he still has it? Second favorite is probably Philly...if it were in a different location or had a view, it'd be at the top of the list. Least favorite? Might actually have to say Seattle...to me it seemed like there was too much going on in the space. San Fran also seemed kind of cramped...as did Boston. It definitely seems that the newer the season, the bigger the place, and the more they've utilized the space. Brooklyn looks like it almost has too MUCH space, and some parts of the house are barely used.

Okay I have only been watching since season 10 but I barely remember any the of the houses! I'll just do the ones I remember. For some reason I remember loving the Chicago loft. I thought the Vegas suite was very small for 7 people. Some parts of the Hollywood house were extremely tacky. I liked the Sydney house! That was probably one my favorites.

Come on now) Vegas was ridiculously small...probably one of the smallest in recent years. I didn't watch too much of the Sydney season, but it was definitely in a good spot. Chicago did have a nice loft. Just not one of my favorites...nothing too memorable about it, you know?

San Diego always reminded me of the beach houses I would stay in when I was younger, I remember telling my Mom that when I used to watch it.

The first time I saw the house on that season, I was like "HEY! I KNOW THAT PLACE!"
Oh, and the restaurant that is now in the Austin house kept some of the tackiness (including Big Tex, haha)

Looking back at the pictures, I did like the San Diego house. I thought it definitely played off the nautical/surfer theme, but not excessively. Location was perfect, nightlife incredible, and an outside pool table, personal dock, and full access to surfboards, wakeboards, and a boat? What could get better than that?
looking at the pictures, I'd have to say I liked the Philadelphia house the best.

I have to agree, The san diego house was probably my favorite real world house ever. I think the Chicago loft was my second favorite.
the key west house was probably my favorite. -it was actually a house. not too big..not too small. -AMAZING view. -theme was not over the top -yet everything still looked luxurious. -nice pool. alot of other houses just had these ugly indoor/above ground pools.
I like Philly, Sydney, and Denver. Hollywood was wayyyyy too tacky, looked way more like a movie set than a house...although that probably is the look they were going for. I live in Philly and have been to the house many times because it is now an art gallery. I'm fascinated by how they had transformed it, it is a really cool space! Now it is pretty much restored back to how it was, except in the bathrooms a few of the lockers and still there and the shower and blue sinks are there as well.
I liked the Sydney house! That was probably one my favorites.
I usually only watch like 5 episodes before losing interest, but that Sydney house was definitely my favorite too. i actually googled it a while ago :P
I liked the San Diego house.
