Vote For The Worst is apparently ****** that Tatiana didn't make the top 12, so they decided they're going to give away as many spoilers as possible. They revealed that they know what this week's theme is going to be:
This weeks theme is songs by artists in the Grand Ole Opry. They really should just call it country week, but I guess the Grand Ole Opry is the elite of country. On the results show, Carrie Underwood is doing a duet with Randy Travis. Brad Paisley will also be performing a song from his upcoming album.
Well, there's a show to miss.
I'm assuming that means that you don't like that type of music. I wouldn't not watch it just because of the type of music. It's really more about what the contestants do with it. You might miss something really good.
I hate when they do Country as well molds. They only do it to reach out to the country fans. But some do shine in this round; however the majoity suck!

I don't like country at all, but that's not that it's about. In my opinion, you have to have a certain voice to sing country, a certain twang of sorts. I don't know what it is, but to me, most people don't sound good when they sing country unless that is their main area of expertise.
Pretty good night... I was familiar with every song sung tonight.
Michael: Putting my attraction to him aside, it could've been a better performance. I didn't like his song choice. I agree with him trying to be more fun, but he compromised the integrity of his voice to do so. There was no wow factor whatsoever. He didn't do himself any favors when he made that crack about "...not [needing] the show!" It wouldn't surprise me if the producers step in and "rig" the vote and have him eliminated this week. If for some reason he does manage to avoid the axe this week, he really does only have a few more weeks to go. I think 7th-9th place is in store for him. Several of the contestants are better singers and even more of them are better performers. He's got to show more with his voice.
Allison: I've said it before and I'll say it again: She is definitely one to watch! Each week she shows some form of improvement. If she keeps going, she'll be one of the final two. I keep forgetting that girl is only 16. I think, to borrow a word used on the show tonight, that it's because there is nothing precocious about her whatsoever. Her singing voice is completely different than her speaking voice! She put a little bit of a southern accent into the song but when she was speaking afterwards, it was like night and day! I'm still waiting for that power song that causes her to bring down the house, but I absolutely love the rocker girl! She will get offers if she ends up not winning the title.
Kris: The judges made a big deal about him not being behind his guitar, but I think I would've preferred it. No doubt he's got a good voice, though. Perhaps I just don't like really slow stuff, but I actually found the performance forgettable. I don't see all that much of a performer in him in general. The only thing I'm currently going to remember about him is that he's downright cute! I want to kiss him more than anything else.
Lil: I totally disagree with the judges. I was nervous when they announced what song she was going to be doing, but she made it her own! I think she did a good job shying away from the R&B, but still added her blackness to the song just the same. She made all the right changes to the melody. I was very impressed with her.
Adam: Well he definitely ranks #1 for originality. I'm sure most people are, like, *** was that?! However, I was entertained. I'd like him to stay around for a while just to see what else he comes up with throughout the season. I don't find him annoying at all. Quite the contrary, I'm actually somewhat intrigued by him. He fits the definition of artist on many levels.
Scott: If I was to send anyone home this week, it would be him. Scott is an amazing piano player with an excellent voice. Scott just isn't a performer, though. To compare him to a couple of the piano artists that the judges mentioned tonight, he doesn't have the passion that Elton John has nor have we seen any evidence that he is the lyricist that is Billy Joel. I think Scott is more suited to the technical side of the music industry - composition, orchestration, education. If he does stay longer, he needs to pick more powerful songs and really throw his voice into them. I want to see him do more uptempo stuff as well without the piano.
Alexis: The whole bluesy thing is getting kind of stale. I agree with Simon in the fact that she should've sang it just like Dolly and really put some power into her voice. I think Brooke White did a better job with the song last year than Alexis did this year. I agree that she was the best girl in her group during the semi finals, but against everyone else in the top 11, that really isn't saying much. Now is the time for her to rethink her game plan or else she's going to be in the bottom half of the top 13.
Danny: The judges were split when it came to his review this week. I'm siding with Randy and Kara. I think he could've done more with the verses leading into the chorus. It's almost as if all he cared about was getting to bellow out, "Jesus take the wheel...." The best of them have bad weeks in the competition and I'm going to write this week off as his bad one. He hasn't lost front runner status with me, yet, but his competition is starting to strengthen. He needs to be careful from here on out.
Anoop: Yes, he can sing. No, I didn't find any fault with his voice. Yes, he did better than last week. Does he deserve another week to show what he can do? Yes. Did I like his song choice? No, I absolutely abhorred it. I've wasted enough time talking about him, so moving on....
Megan: You'd never know she was sick based on that performance. I admit to being somewhat numb to it, though. She still hasn't done anything to impress me throughout this whole competition. If it was my decision, I would give her another chance to try to impress me next week. She's got alot of originality to her. However, she just isn't relevant in today's market. The arrangement of the song she sang sounds like something I would've heard on the radio in the 1930s and 1940s.
Matt: This week's performance put him back in the competition. I didn't give him so good of a review last week, but I felt him this week. He put forth the kind of emotion that I like to see in a performance. What he did this week is what I'd like to see out of Scott if he insists on staying behind that piano. I'm going to bump my prediction for him up to 4th-6th place instead of the 5th-7th that I gave him last week.
I don't understand why Allison was in the bottom 3.. Can someone try to explain this to me??
I would assume it's because she didn't receive enough votes.
LOL thanks for that clarification molds
Hey, you asked. People probably don't vote because they figure everyone else will. It's voter turnout at its finest. (See also: elections)
Well there is always a time in the middle of the season when I start to vote. I guess I need to start early this year!!
Exercise your right as an American!
RMD, Sometimes people don't vote for the ones they think are a shoe-in. They just assume they'll be safe without their vote.
That's kind of what happened to Michael Johns last year. He went home way earlier than he should've because everyone just assumed he was safe and people focused their votes on other.
I've been voting for Michael Sarver like crazy just to appease a buddy of mine that is super attracted to him. I, on the other hand, happen to think that he should've gone home over Alexis, but I'm not complaining. I've never been a huge Alexis fan. She's not the right image for the kind of music she likes to sing. I didn't even like her performance during her group round in the semi finals. I can name a couple people that should've gone home before her, but I'm just not shedding any tears over her departure whatsoever.
My voting focus turns to Allison starting next week. I think her stint in the bottom 3 is a wakeup call to the voters. I'd rather see Allison win over Danny.
Are the people in the bottom three always the three people with the lowest votes? Or do they put two of the lowest vote-getters and a random person?
As far as I know, it is the 3 with the lowest votes, unless it changed this year.
I don't think they're always truthful about who the true bottom 3 really is. Dial Idol had Megan, Allison, Alexis as the bottom 3. I've got a theory that they put Michael in the bottom 3 because he was displaying some arrogance during the judges critique. I think it was meant to be a wakeup call to him.

That could be due to the fact that not many voters this year are using dialidol.
I was really disappointed to see Alexis go home, I thought she would make it father than she did. I was in shock that Allison was even in the bottom 3, I hope this is a wake up call to voters. Allison has an amazing voice, and for only being 16 years old, she is amazing.
I also liked Matt's performance, followed up by Danny and Kris.
What the heck was that performance by Adam? I wonder what Johnny Cash would have thought about that.My husband and I just silently watched with our mouths open ;)
This week is Motown week, which should be very well for Anoop, Danny and Matt, I can not wait to hear their song choices.

OMG I forgot about that! THAT was one of the most bizarre performances on that show ever. Joel McHale had his little puppy howling along with the clip on the Soup! :)

That was great on The Soup, he always says the things out loud that I am thinking inside my head!!
The crazy part was that all the judges besides Simon thought that Adam's was a great performance. I totally agreed with Simon, it was a bunch of over the top rubbish. All of the moaning, and it was so high pitched, I was surprised it was coming from a man ;)
