I know from the preview that something is going to happen, but at this point they should almost be bullet proof. I wonder how they screw it all up? Two idols in a 4 person cross tribe alliance? That sounds very solid in theory.

And Spencer it is... Well, next week something has got to give or that alliance will get into an unbeatable position which will make it a rough season as far as I am concerned. (I know you guys are all [I]pulling[/I] for the alliance so don't mind me, lol.)

At this point in a season, I usually have identified the players I like personally, those whose game play I respect, and those I think will be in the final four. This season, I've not found anyone I care enough about to even follow. I'm watching almost out of a sense of obligation.

I do want Coach to stick around for a while because he is so obnoxiously delusional but him winning would be so unsatisfying. I definitely think the Exile alliance is in a great position but Taj giving Stephen her idol will be her downfall, he seems treacherous and willing to betray the alliance when something better comes around. The only thing that disappoints me about the Exile alliance is that it seems like it's going to prevent the mutiny thing from coming into play, I would have liked to have seen that but it's doubtful

I don't really like any of these cast members nor do I identify with them / appreciate their game play. At least thus far. I'm rooting for the Secret Alliance of 4. I guess. If I have to.

I'm rooting for the foursome, but I cannot root for Taj out of a sense of loyalty to my university (who made it to the Big Dance for the first time in FOREVER! Whoooooooo!) Annnnnnnnnnnyway...I'm sad to see Spencer go. Why didn't anyone bring up Sydney? She's by far the weakest one in their tribe. But she's the only eye candy left I suppose... I really hope that the foursome (read: Brendan) makes it through to the merge. From the preview, it looks like Stephen might bring it up to JT to bring in a fifth...that'd be interesting. And when they say next Wednesday, do they mean 6 days from now, or 13?

As for the alliance, Sierra and Stephen are physically the weakest players in their respective genders remaining. That means in order to survive they need to get rid of the strongest. I like Brandon, but I have a feeling Stephen is not an idiot which means Brandon will be gone once power is achieved in the merge (if he lasts that long.) So by pulling for the alliance, you are rooting [I]against[/I] Brandon (as he will never see it coming.) He is the prototypical overconfident alpha male player that usually adorns the jury (i.e. Marcus.) I don't think rooting for Tyson, Coach and Debra is that much of a sin. Coach is no Kenny. He is not really that devious, just overbearing. That being said, I see good in him and have a feeling he is going to do some damage as this game progresses. Overall, I'll agree that this cast is less likable than even Gabon. There really are no standouts (besides Coach as a character) and if the alliance does pull through it will be one of the blandest final fours in years.

Over beers last night, I decided I'm going to be Jeff Probst for halloween next year. Get the shirt, hat, and shorts. Then: A tiki torch with a snuffer (obviously, so I can tell everyone that "The Tribe Has Spoken".) and I'm going to carry around flint and give speeches about how fire represents life. And be the biggest tool ever. Even though I don't think Jeff is a tool...I can ham it up for comedic effect. It sounded like a great idea last night....

Ever. How do you find it boring? It's already had its fair share of blindsides, and if all of the hype is correct, should get more interesting. I think it's been a good season so far, and much better than Gabon was at this point. And Rupert and Coach are in no way comparable. That'd be an insult to Rupert.

I just cannot get into these people, there are no Ozzie's or Rupert's, in this bunch. They are my favorites and Obviously Rupert was America's favorite, too! It's true though.....this cast is very blah. We don't really have the characters we've had the past couple seasons. And I feel like Probst is over-hyping Tocantins. So far, I'm not that impressed. Wake me up when Coach is blindsided. =) PS...No one mentioned JT's friggin' tooth yet!! Ouchhhhh. Oh and I read this in TV Guide but it's a spoiler. Not a "who goes home" spoiler...but something that happens in the game: [spoiler] One of the castaways is removed 'cuz of a medical condition or injury. I wonder who it'll be! [/spoiler]

The final 2 was ridiculously boring. The entire cast didn't really have anyone that was likable. I will agree that no one has really stood out as being a likable character this season, but it's still early, which means there's lots of time to emerge.
