Hee...Evangeline Lilly wouldn't sit next to him on Kimmel! Said he doesn't know how to treat a lady. Good for her! :D
Good for her! Maybe I will have to start watching Lost to repay her a little ;)
I saw that OPD. She's a smart woman. I hope he suffers a lot of backlash from this.
Was she serious or cutesy mad?
Maybe we should all chip in, buy jasonmesnicksucks.com and fill it with photoshopped pictures of his head on a donkey? ;)
Edit: Oh ****, someone beat me to it (the buying the domain name part and putting up a placeholder.) Although jasonmesnickblows.com is available, lol.
She wasn't present in the second seat like most guests are. Maybe she had to leave and made a joke out of it. Who knows.
Personally, I prefer jasonmesnickblows.com anyway. :)
And the scum parade was handily rewarded...

The Bachelor (ABC)
8:00 p.m. – Viewers: 13.60 million (#1), A18-49: 4.5/11 (#1)
8:30 p.m. – Viewers: 15.09 million (#1), A18-49: 5.2/13 (#1)
9:00 p.m. – Viewers: 15.65 million (#1), A18-49: 5.6/13 (#1)
9:30 p.m. – Viewers: 17.48 million (#1), A18-49: 6.3/14 (#1)
That led into part one of special The Bachelor: After The Final Rose at an also dominant 17.47 million viewers and a 6.7/16 in the demo at 10 p.m. Part two airs tonight at 10 p.m. Needless to say, the success of veteran The Bachelor is one of the biggest surprises this season.

Unfortunately, what can't immediately be quantified is the backlash. My gut tells me that it is far worse than ABC anticipated.

Ooooh I HOPE so! :ireful2:
To put things into perspective, last year's Bachelor finale pulled 9.19 million viewers and had an average in the 6-7 million viewer range for the season.
So maybe they didn't get what they wanted (i.e. Idol numbers) but they added 4-5 million viewers per episode and almost doubled the finale demo numbers. I am sure the executives are still up from last night drinking scotch with cigars in hand celebrating their ratings victory on a show that was left for dead (best ratings in half a decade.)
This will encourage them next time around to be even more bold with their disingenuous approach to the show...
Here's a tweet Ryan Seacrest sent out today...
"RyanSeacrest Just talked to Britney's mgr Larry...gonna have him call the show in a couple hours. And the bachelor?? What the ****!?! - Ryan"
What's part 2 supposed to cover? Is that the one that they taped a month later where he supposedly proposed to Molly?
Tonight's show was taped at Warner Studios last Friday.
You guys know that not watching tonight would be the best thing you could do to strike back at ABC & Company (especially those with ratings boxes or diaries.)

Oh I won't watch. I'll just read here :D
If you don't actually watch it, but your DVR records it, does that technically hurt their ratings since I wasn't watching it at the particular time? Or am I still supporting the man?

These days, most major providers sell your viewing habits (i.e. what you record on your DVR) to Nielsen. So yes, if you watch it within 7 days it will count toward the final ratings number - although not fast nationals (which I do sometimes post the next day after something airs.) They also have another category for same day viewing.
Long story short, you watch - it counts.
Edit: If you don't watch what is on your DVR within 7 days then it doesn't count. ;)

I didn't watch last night and I won't watch tonight either! Plus, Biggest Loser is on :) I'll just read here like OPD.

If you eat a pint of ice cream while watching standing up on one foot does it count?
