Just talked to Johanna. BMP asked her to do one of the After Show's but she could not get away from work in Bristol, UK. She is interested in doing another challenge. :)

Sweet! Good for her....and good for us if more AfterShows are on the way!
V1Man, why was Evelyn in New York with the cast? Is she doing something with MTV??? I hope so!!! I LOVE her!!!
I like how everyone asks v1 these questions?

Actually, she was asked to be on a previous show. I still have not confirmed another taping, other than the Reunion Show, is planned.
i used to like svetlana... but that was really stupid when she said Gettysburg sucked. She seemed really nice on the duel. (that's when i started watching the shows).

Yeah that was a rather random/inappropriate insult from her....

Svetlana could be said to be beautiful on the outside. Unfortunately, last night's After Show is far more indicative of any measure of her beauty on the inside.

The girls are praying that there will be another After Show. We all think how screwed up it is that not a single one of us was there to represent the female point of view on the Gettysburg episode and not a one of us is on the Afterworld for episode 8 either (another battle of the sexes ep).
Sadly the editing seems to be favoring the boys. A lot.
For starters why does Ryan have to be part of the storyline in every.single.episode? First he's the ignorant one so they focus on him, then oh him and Chet play pranks so they focus on him, then he wants to be a singer so they focus on him and his music, then it's 9/11 and he's a vet so they focus on him, then there's drama in Gettysburg so they focus on him. *headdesk*
I'm thoroughly convinced this show should have been called The Real World: Ryan Conklin.
Anyway, back on topic... I'm not sure if another After Show is in the works, however I was informed that they were planning on doing four of them. There are more storylines for the girls coming up in later episodes and I hope that they do an all girl After Show; it would only be fair.

And so are we! And if they do, Baya better get a chance to appear.

It seems like the RW formula is to have one of the roommates be the "star" of the show (like both Julies in their respective seasons), a few "co-stars" (Eric and Heather season 1, Melissa in New Orleans) and everyone else is a supporting player. It seemed from the first few episodes of this season that they were doing something different and rotating who the focus was on, but then decided to go back to the "star" format with Ryan being that roommate. I wish they'd focus on other castmates. Ryan can be funny sometimes, but he's got a lot of growing up to do.
I agree that there is too much focus on Ryan and Chet. I think they are funny and interesting at times, but there is too much time devoted to them. Even the dailies feature a high dosage of them! I know the dailies partly focus on what will be coming up on the show, but sometimes it's a way to get to see what other people are up to as well. If someone is not going to be featured enough in the show (like Baya), show us what they are up to by posting some extra dailies.
I would like to see an after show w just the current season members.
I don't see a need to ask Colie, Paula, Svetlana, Tyler etc about the current season.

MTV execs determined what they wanted in the After Show. They are not going to change now given the success of the show. The MTV execs would see any substantive format change as an admission of failure. That is not a relationship they are prepared to have with fans.
I would favor a more modest, non-threatening, change that would include having the past cast members asking more substantive questions (Mark would share that role). That way, the "add-ons" would not appear superfluous or as comic relief (Paula & Issac) to the Brooklyn cast members.

So basically you would just like to see a reunion show instead of an after show??
I wonder what the method is in picking specific past castmembers to appear on the show. Interest or simple availability?
Both, plus some significant intangibles.

In that case, perhaps you would enjoy Afterworld on mtv.com more. Just a few of the Brooklyn cast members together watching the episodes of RW and commenting on them.
I personally like seeing past cast members on a panel for the Aftershow. I think it's kind of nice to see [most] of them when we can. I especially liked how they had some people on the Denver Aftershow that we hadn't seen concerning RW or challenges for a little while (i.e Melanie).

I'd say that you and Ryan have received the most screen time, followed by Chet, then the others with Baya receiving the least amount of screen time.
I'd like to see more of Baya as she seems very down to earth, and she also seems to be one of the least confrontational which I guess equals less screen time.
So I'm watching the aftershow again..
Doesn't it seem like Paula and Fitz keep trying to interrupt them and talk about themselves? We want to hear about Brooklyn! LOL
Colie has grown up a lot since Denver. She looked beautiful too!
To be honest with you guys ..... I really see no point in the aftershows :). I mean, the reunion is about clearing things out and seeing where the cast is after the filming of the series. But I dont know.... the aftershows seem to be diminishing the purpose of the reunion special. Though I have to admit, these aftershows are entertaining!
To me, the Aftershows are valuable because they deal with everything on an episode basis. Plus you get more of an immediate reaction to the reactions of the cast members after the show. On the reunion show, they will only deal with the big things only and a lot of things people may have been curious about can go unanswered. And sometimes those immediate reactions after the watching an episode can subside and things can be patched up quickly so by the time the reunion rolls around, it's not a big deal and it could be brushed over.
The Aftershow only has a few people from the cast at the time, but the dynamic can be different with everyone in the room.
Perhaps the aftershows for RW Brooklyn could be revamped a little, though, to be more similar to the ones for RW/RR challenges. That way they won't feel as repetitive to some people. We could get to learn a little bit more about the cast members that we wouldn't see on the show in addition to commenting on the episodes. Maybe fans could even submit questions. I'd want them to keep the panel, though.
