Stacee, it looks like everything is in order as far as plugins.
My best recommendation would be to go to your control panel/add remove programs and delete firefox along with your firefox profile. Download it again and start with a clean slate. Then, re-add flash and the windows media player plugins.
However, weird pop up windows sound more like malware than a firefox specific issue so I am not sure if that is going to fix your problem.
If you want to post a Hijackthis log, I'd take a look at it.

I am going to try option 1 first :) thanks
I kinda hate Firefox right now...it keeps crashing on me...shutting down completely and giving error messages. any suggestions B? Google Chrome perhaps?
I use Chrome the most, since Firefox keeps crashing on me. I only use Firefox when I have to use Java applications, since those keep freezing up on Chrome.

They haven't developed it for Macs yet. I am patiently awaiting its release. I thought about downloading it at work, but the computers here are too slow they might crash...so I had to settle for IE (yuck).

Yeah I brought my laptop to work today to network in...in reality, I'm really not doing much of anything except organizing my iPhoto and looking at Vevmo :D And it's sooooooooo much faster!!
What Java Apps?
For some of my classes I use an online program called "uLearn" and that runs on Java. Also the app on myspace that uploads photos too. So those apps usually don't respond. But other than that, Chrome is really good. I recommend it.
Is anyone having trouble accessing this site using Firefox 3.0.17? Whenever I click on the Vevmo link, it goes to the front page, then the screen goes white. But it's only happened on my laptop. On my laptop I have to use IE to come here.

I won't be able to test it without uninstalling firefox and trying to find that older version.
Could you try updating to firefox 3.6?
I think it's a Google thing. I just used Firefox and Yahoo to access the site, and it worked.
I know I need to update, though. I actually thought I did the other day, but clearly I didn't.
