Wow, the boys were tearing Devyn up in today's dailies clips. It gives me a better sense of why she was so cold to JD during the last Aftershow.
I could never do a show like Real World - sometimes its better to have some things kept in the dark and not hear the painful things that people may have said about you behind your back.
As much as I love Ryan and Chet a lot of the stuff on the dailies they say is rude. The Eddie Murphy comment was way out of line. Although JD's laugh is hilarious.
Why did it look like they were in a hotel?
It was kind of brutal. I think he was drunk, though no excuse. And he was upset over supposedly stolen wings, but still, it seemed like it was building up in Ryan. Hopefully they show what all made him so upset to talk about Devyn like that. It sounds the guys have been annoyed with her stating her opinions on things or being some type of know-it-all.
And the meanness continues in this week's dailies. If tomorrow's show is more focused on the guys making all of these comments and pulling this stunt, they might look really bad when it airs.

And those are just a couple of dailies that highlight how the guys have been acting towards her.
I can understand Scott being upset with Devyn over what he felt were harsh comments concerning his dating/having a lot of female friends coming over and his modeling. I can even understand if the guys feel at times that Devyn is a know-it-all or something.
But I think they have said and done some rude stuff towards her and about her that is taking it a little over the top. It's like they have no respect for her at all. And Chet is always complaining about someone else as if he has no faults. I really dislike how he is always dissing Sarah for trying to be empathetic and caring to people from all kinds of diversity and backgrounds, as if she is not a genuine person or something. We haven't seen a whole lot of her, but she seems really sweet, caring, and someone who is trying to treat people well.
The dailies for this week show the guys very focused on her - bashing her appearance, saying she's not doing anything to try and reach her goals (I'd like to know what Ryan had done besides that one episode in which he played a song for that guy, what JD is there for since he is already a dolphin trainer, etc), pulling a prank on her, tracking her activities for the day, etc. If there is not some showing of the ways Devyn is being annoying to them, the episode will look really unbalanced and the guys will look like jerks, I think. I think they would look somewhat bad regardless because of the level they are taking things to, but if they don't show something from her side to support the guys being annoyed with her, they will probably look worse.
Chet and Ryan look the worst, to me. In talking about what Devyn has been doing, Ryan seems to have forgotten the email he wrote to Baya about being interested in her. No, he wasn't cheating, but he was expressing some desire there while he was in a relationship (and he also called Belle "Baya" in a daily clip and apparently did it more than once while she visited). Chet always has confessionals and other clips in which he is going on and on about how someone else is. And JD seems gung-ho with the pranks now.
I really dont watch the dailies, I dont know why, haha. I think its mostly because the dailies are boring to me. :( But, yeah I occasionaly sweep by and watch a couple and I really dont like how they are thrashing Devyn like that.
The Dailies used to have cute and funny tidbits, but they are painful to watch now. All it is are clips of the guys acting like the "He-Man Woman-Haters Club." Do they have that much free time on their hands to be acting like that?! Apparently so.
I just saw that dailies clip too. Ouch. What made him go there? "Devyn looks like Eddie Murphy." Whoa, drama.
Oh goodness I'm cringing just thinking about it. I still haven't seen last week's episode and probably won't tonight but hopefully I'll get to catch tonights episode since I think they show it two times in a row. I haven't watched the dailies lately but it would be kind of sad if Scott's getting in on the trashfest seeing as how he, Devyn and Baya all live together. One thing I've noticed though is when the shows wrap people usually end on good terms but once the shows start airing and they see how much junk was being talked behind their backs, things start to change. Anyways based on her interactions here and what I've seen on the earlier dailies Devyn seemed like a cool chick so I hope she doesn't let all the trash talk about her looks or whatever get her down.

I know, bring back the cute and funny. The petty boys vs. girls stuff sucks.
So for the dailies...am I correct in assuming they only show stuff that didn't make it into the final cut, but is related to what was being shown in that weeks episode?
***** Leslie (Baya friend) should have also been on this season *****. BAYA LOOKS HOT!!!!!!!!
The sad thing is she will probably get as much air time in this episode as Baya has all season. Although, Baya did get some words in on the Dailies today which was a nice change.
I didn't think Leslie telling Ryan off was that big a deal as it was made out to be on the Dailies site. She sounded just as loud and immature as Ryan did. They all looked silly in that argument.

Maybe, but she was trying to funny..And i think she won that one, made me laugh. Atleast Baya is in some of the clips lately.
How are Devyn and Scott living together? The men on this show are such ****hes from what I am seeing on the dailies. No matter how much you might disagree with someone's behavior, please stop being so immature to cut them down in the most unnecessarily vicious way possible behind their back.
Devyn, girl, please wear a bra if you are going to wear a low-cut dress when you go to interview! In fact, DON'T wear a low-cut dress. You may have gotten the job, but putting your puppies out there on a first-interview is NOT the business.

Perhaps the "cutting down" was something production encouraged in their interviews and, therefore, the guys decided that it was what production also wanted from them when they were together. There is a definite interview psychology that is used within the reality community to convince people to say and do things within the "reality bubble" that they would likely not do in real life. You should not be surprised to learn that after the show, some of the cast discovered far more common ground between them than production permitted them to find during show taping.

See, I just cannot buy putting the onus on the production for the shit-talking that occurred in the house. No doubt, in the confessional questions are asked of castmembers that are geared toward generating drama and controversial statements, but in the general spaces of the house you are still your own person and you have to die on your own sword. If you decide to shit-talk because you think that is what production wants from you then that is just as big a reflection of your own character as it is of production.
No doubt, Scott seems like a chill guy and he probably got over his anger issues with Devyn over time, but I doubt someone as proud as Devyn, after now having heard all that Scott was saying about her during the time in the house, would be comfortable in her current decision to live with him. In my opinion what Scott has said about her on the dailies is as hurtful, if not more so, than what JD has done and she doesn't give JD the time of day. However, unlike JD, Scott has hopefully apologized for his actions.

Well, Devyn has not expressed to me any such present negative view toward Scott. I don't have any sense that there is anything at all awkward in their present roommate situation. It would not surprise me to learn that Baya is the glue that makes everything work, however. She is one of the nicest people I've encountered in all of the RW family.
In some past seasons, the most personal growth between individual cast members has come much later, after watching the episodes and outtakes, since much of their actual show taping was so significantly forced and contrived.
Well, we don't make this stuff up. Hopefully the cast will come forward to tell us something on their terms.
What still has me stumped is that this is supposed to be a reality show. Yet BMP has somewhat controlled there interactions with each other to an extent? Or maybe i missing something?
What still has me stumped is that this is supposed to be a reality show. Yet BMP has somewhat controlled there interactions with each other to an extent? Or maybe i missing something?
Controlled is probably a strong word but obviously they are a third party influence through the weekly interviews, which don't occur in actual reality. Competitive reality shows often like to use similar interview sessions to alter the way the participants think about the game so the producers can get their desired result, one particular CBS reality show is infamous for that. So it's not surprising to me that BMP would use interviews to encourage artificial tension.

The only reality shows which should technically be "hands-off" to the producers are those where the Game Show Act applies; e.g., where there are prizes involved and contractually binding rules. Beyond that, producers can do just about whatever they want to manufacture drama.

I just thought the cameras were there and the production crew said nothing to them even if the cast said something to them.
