There are a lot of places I'd like to see them film that they haven't.
-Portland (Ore)
-Washington D.C
-Montreal
-Phoenix
-Atlanta also
I'm sure mostly it has to do with property availibility and also what the filming regulations are in a particular city.
I totally forgot about this but I was talking to my brother the other day and I remembered! I was just a vevmo lurker then...(I think)
My brother hates the real world and he lives in Pittsburgh. We used to watch Hollywood together when I went to stay at his house for after my semester was done.
He said there was something in the newspaper saying that they were looking for houses to do the Real World in Pittsburgh.
This was the beginning of June though.

Pittsburgh was most likely considered for RW 21 then. Or they could be planning ahead and really may be filming there for RW 22.

yes! Id love to see all of the cities you have mentioned, especially DC because I am from maryland, and I doubt they would ever do Baltimore.
Well there are plenty of locations they have yet to do but if RW goes long enough I'm sure they will get to some of those sooner or later. Who knows we might have RW on the Moon someday lol
Major Shirley Franklyn banned the real world from the city of Atlanta....its against the laws now...she thinks MTV portrays black people in a very discriminatory way.

An actual law banning MTVwould be equally discriminatory and patently illegal if any other network is allow to film there. I know Room Raiders has taped there several times, so I'm a little suspicious.
Can you cite a local ordinance or news article which details this?

How?

Although it does look like this rumor has been propagated on other forums such as this one, I was not able to find any valid documentation of such a ban or even Mayor Franklin talking about the Real World.
Not to be a hater, but I'm not a huge fan of Hotlanta as a shooting location for show. Maybe it is that horribly congested airport or Ted Turner. I just can't put my finger on it...
I'd be more excited about Athens or Savannah for Georgia locations.

(THen OPD and I can stalk them all out and maybe get in the real world house)
See, I think Portland would be a perfect location for The Real World. Actually, I am surprised that they have not been there yet.

For sure!! Portland is BEAUTIFUL!! Great scenery, mountains, on the water, TONS of bridges (most per capita in the US I think!). Great shopping, great food....It really would be a sweet location. It has a good mix of modern and ecclectic tastes.

I think it would be awesome... I've been to Portland and I think it is one of the prettiest places I've been too...

I really do agree that Portland would be a great location. First, the people are very welcoming. I can't see the fun people I've encountered in a few bars there being at all negative about the Real World. They are just too laid back. It's also a great university community with a strong history of diversity support. And, there are lots of great escapes in both winter and summer. I strongly recommend Holiday Farm Resort (Holiday Farm Resort - Historic Restaurant by the McKenzie River) about an hour east of Portland along the McKenzie River. It is a resort owned by Kail Harbick of Big Brother 8 and her husband.

I live in philly... When they did it here it was cool.. Me and my friends hung out with them a few times and went back to the house it was really cool!
Portland would be nice. Its is very cool there, but my only problem is, they tend to go for really big, well known, bustling party cities, and Portland doesn't fill all of those. But I wouldn't mind it.
Atlanta though? Something about The Real World: Atlanta doesn't strike me.

Oh, Portland is a big "party" city - they just wouldn't be able to show much of it.
Hahah, and I bet OPD is right at the center of those little parties.
LoL only sometimes, Portland is about a 4 hr drive from here. But LM is much closer! ;)
Not counting that fake Vancouver season they did for the movie. Remember that one?
Yeah I remember that...it was some weird stuff like a gay relationship with a camera man or something like that...
