Friday, September 26 2008, David D. Hernandez (Dennis Hernandez) a truck driver hauling sound equipment for the show falls asleep at the wheel on Interstate 57 in West Frankfort, Illinois. His truck crossed the median and hit two vehicles, killing two 19 year old female passengers, Yasmin Jackson and Kevetta Davis. The elderly couple in the second car are suffering serious injuries and were flown to Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Hernandez sustained minor injuries, was charged with driving with a suspended license and four other traffic violations. Bret or the bus was not at the site of the accident when it happened and decided to put the breaks on the production of Rock of Love 3: The Bus, to pay respects to Yasmin Jackson, Kevetta Davis, their family and friends and the couple in car two.
VH1 has not commented on the accident yet.
