World champion wrestler Hulk Hogan, former president of World Championship Wrestling Eric Bischoff and professional wrestling manager Jimmy Hart judge the celebrities on their performances throughout various challenges which include mastering complex wrestling moves, trash talk to intimidate the opponent and working a live audience. On the road to transforming them into wrestlers, the cast will be coached by former professional wrestlers Brutus "the Barber" Beefcake and Brian Knobbs. The Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling cast includes: - Danny Bonaduce - television and radio host, reality star and actor The Partridge Family - Todd Bridges - television personality, actor Different Strokes - ButterBean - super-heavyweight boxer - Trishelle Cannatella - television personality, reality star Real World: Las Vegas - Dustin Diamond - television personality, actor Saved by the Bell - Erin Murphy - television personality, actress Bewitched (Tabitha Stephens) - Dennis Rodman - five-time NBA champion - Frank Stallone - actor, singer, Sylvester Stallone's brother - Tiffany - chart-topping '80s pop singer - Nikki Ziering - actress, Playboy playmate The celebrities will be faced with exhausting challenges and elimination matches that will lead up to the heart-pounding finale that will determine the winner. The contestants will be divided into two teams, then taught the same set of moves to create the most exciting wrestling match against one another in an attempt to win over the judges and a live audience. Hogan, 12-time world champion, will be just as tough on the cast as he was on his challengers in a match, and each week the celebrity who doesn't bring their A-game will be thrown out of the ring. Ultimately only one will become the celebrity all-star wrestling champion.
Being a former real wrestler, I've always looked down upon this form of predetermined entertainment - which gave my sport a bad name. However, if there is even a remote chance that someone accidentally hurts Danny Bonaduce, it just might be worth watching. :wink2:

I'm actually looking forward to this. It's always fun to watch celebrities get beat up.
I think this sounds awesome!! Danny Bonaduce is pretty tough, Dennis Rodman where has he been all this time? I cannot stand Dustin Diamond, he was such an *** on celebrity fit club.
This sounds very cool! I will definitely be checking this out.... Hopefully I will see Dustin Diamond get his butt kicked! :D
Perhaps we could rank the people we like, dislike or are indifferent to. He is my list. Like: - Trishelle Cannatella - Erin Murphy Indifferent to: - Nikki Ziering - Frank Stallone - ButterBean Dislike: Danny Bonaduce (maybe ButterBean could accidentally fall on Danny's face?) - Todd Bridges - Dustin Diamond - Dennis Rodman - Tiffany
Honestly heard about this and never knew what channel it was coming on but I will sadly be watching every minute of it. Dustin Diamond definitely lands on my dislike list, he is a supreme *** and showed it on Fit Club. Now Danny Bonaduce is a loose cannon, it will be amusing to see how he acts and does in the ring(might even flip someone over his head again) but even better if Butterbean ran through him lol
Being a former "pro" wrestler, I have to admire this group for going through with this. I'll debate until the sun goes down with anyone who says it's fake the in the respect that it doesn't hurt. It does. Sometimes it's excruciating. That said, I don't see how fair it is to have a super-heavyweight with nobody else close to his size for a match. Granted I have no idea what movesets they're teaching these guys, but Butterbean by far has an advantage when it comes to power moves. Then again, they could just be doing basic brawling sets. I won't tune in and expect to find them whipping out long spots of chain wrestling and high spots.
I'm actually probably more indifferent since I have no idea who she is, but I thought for the sake of discussion, I should dislike at least one woman.
For the benefit of those not watching, it was make clear at the beginning that the "matches" were scripted. The premise was to be about how believable each cast member was int the ring and how they sold their persona to the "audience." Trishelle was sent home last week following a scenario in which she is hit in the back with a metal folding chair early in the week's training and is gun shy about the actual hitting with objects -- iron rods, trash cans, table, etc, that were at the heart the show that week. At the end, after telling Trishelle that she sold herself well, Hogan asked her if she gave 100%. She said no. It was her time to go... Actually, it was a bit of fun and interesting insight into a little of the professional wrestling world. Trishelle, for me, was the most entertaining person to watch on the show and it was obvious that she and Hogan had good chemistry.
I usually caught the late-night rerun of this but the only reason I would watch was for Trishelle. Looks like I won't be looking to watch the episodes anymore now that she's gone.
