it'll be better if they did it (the revelations) in episodic order, this time around. you know something different.
it'll be better if they did it (the revelations) in episodic order, this time around. you know something different.
True. If they do it though I would rather have them do it in random order so that if I do choose to look I don't know what to expect when the episode comes. But they can't reveal too much because V1 already said he would never reveal the winners.

I agree if we know the winners then that sucks.
On Monday we will reveal the first of our new spoilers. It will be related to Dan and the trailer.
Ooohh....nice tease! :)
There is an entire thread about that here: http://vevmo.com/f187/island-mtv-dan-walsh-spoilers-1946/
Umm, don't we usually get another trailer by now? Why just the preview one?
Umm, don't we usually get another trailer by now? Why just the preview one?
With a little over a month left before the challenge, I think i would prefer not seeing a bigger trailer. I'd rather see the fights and such for the first time during each episode or the episode previews
With a little over a month left before the challenge, I think i would prefer not seeing a bigger trailer. I'd rather see the fights and such for the first time during each episode or the episode previews
Yeah I'm glad that there haven't been a million trailers all over the place because I do like the mystery surrounding the challenge. As I've said I don't think we will see a trailer that really sheads anymore light on anything major. I like it that way and probably will stay away from any major spoilers.
I just lied with that last part

With a little over a month left before the challenge, I think i would prefer not seeing a bigger trailer. I want a lot of drama for the upcoming season.
I wouldn't mind seeing a lil more...hopefully there is so much drama that they can't preview it all even if they wanted to. I want a lot of drama for the upcoming season.
I would agree with you if there was enough drama not to spoil it all. I hate the feeling of watching a show where you feel like you've known about every single exciting moment. At this point all i really want to find out is the new format.
At this point all i really want to find out is the new format.
Thats really all I want to know too. I don't really want to know who wins or anything like that... I am more interested in how this challenge works. But I have a feeling that we won't know until the show actually comes on.
I have to agree with everything. I don't think anything will be found out until the show actually airs. I think it will be helpful for them to keep the viewers interested and curious.
I saw an extended preview of The Island after the new Gs to Gents episode on Tuesday, did anyone else see it? It showed a ton more footage of the challenge. Unfortunately I was not in my living room where we have DVR... **You can watch it on the Island website :d http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?id=1590485&vid=255930
I saw this comment on a different forum and it actually express exactly what i had in mind: "This show is a scripted piece of ****. Number one the contestants were bused out to a hotel every night afte shooting!!!!, number two: the location was only feet away from palatial homes in the most famous tourist spot in Panama, and number three: they destroyed the pristine beaches and left trash everywhere including the contestants dialog scripts!! (lol) and showed no respect for the Panamanian local community or the environment , wanna know the truth behind the so called Island? Check this out: "Reality" TV Gets Real Trashy There are photos of the devastation left behind just copy and paste the URL SHAME ON YOU MTV!!!"

"Only feet away?" What qualifies here? 2640 feet? 5280 feet? 6082? 2640 might be close to accurate along the road built to the base camp BMP constructed to house their electronics. BMP put their own generator in at that location. 2. "Bused out to a hotel at night after shooting?" Well the tree climbers article never even hinted at that. Bacchus and I canvased every local hotel/resort capable of housing the cast and crew during June. We came up empty for the cast but did discover the private location when the crew was staying. The cast never stays in a hotel on any challenge except for the one night of their eviction. 3. "including dialogue scripts?" Once again, you didn't read the article very carefully, and didn't read the detailed discussion about it earlier on this board... TRANSCRIPTS of tapes... Everything gets transcribed for the use of the story editor. Thanks for the drive by visit though. For some reason, I don't expect to hear from you again, but wouldn't it be nice to be wrong.

And if they had to "clear" a space to put generators or whatever for the production at least they could have replant the area, not leaving without leaving the island the exact same way the found it when they got there. 3-) For ur information I'M FROM PANAMA, and i've been to this place also so i know how it looks like, the road, the gated private residential area and the beautiful beaches Isla del Drago has to offer. It's true that in the article doesn't say that the cast stayed anywhere, but i know as a fact that they r pretty nice and big houses in the "gated residential area", confortable enough accomodate the cast; MTV could have rent 1 of those easily. This show is not the 1st one being held in Panamanian islands; years ago i worked as a crew member in Survivor and i know how cold and unberable could be to stay that long in that kind of hut next to the beach with the weather and extream conditions we have there. They could have stayed a couple of days but not the whole production living in that hut, that's for sure. And taking in consideration how close both areas r, the gated one and the production in the beach area, it would be the perfect thing to drive back and forth like the article insinuated. (Btw at least when Survivor finished with the production, we, the crew, cleaned pretty much everything and i can tell u that we didn't destroyed that place like MTV did with Isla del Drago). 4-) Once again i know for a fact how those shows work, they made my sign a contract back then in order to not discuss what happen in the show, and yes they use scripts, sometimes not for dialogues but for the situations, the producers knows every single details of what's going on and what will happen later... i don't have to read carefully the article to know what author of it was talking about, and even so i don't think that they will throw away papers like the "TRANSCRIPTS of tapes", being those so important. But the main issue is, THIS IS ANOTHER PROVE THAT THEY WERE THERE, AND MOST IMPORTANT WHY THEY HAVE TO THROW ANYTHING AWAY? Is this how MTV cares about nature, throwing garbage away and destroyed virgin rainforest?, bothering nature, animals and human beings as well? and i don't really want to believe that all this is just for money, but isn't it? It was my pleasure... if u have the time and money, u could give us a visit in Panama and see everything with ur own eyes and get amazed with its natural beauty, and therefore upset as well when u see things like this happening around and nobody caring about it. I'm not here to prove u wrong but to let myself hear, but i guess u'll reply once more... Thanks
Hi there "Elite member":
He has a name. FYI. I happen to know for a fact that the cast members did not stay in hotels. If you would have seen what they looked like when they got home.. and heard the genuine misery stories they had for their time on the island... you'd agree.

I'm not here to prove u wrong but to let myself hear, but i guess u'll reply once more... Thanks
Well, if you were not so arrogantly interested in the self-important magnificence of your revelation to us of this clear affront to the dignity of Panama, you might have discovered that I'm the one who brought this story to the attention of vevmo readers and have separately brought it to the attention of the cast as well. Their reaction is anger and shame that BMP could have left the place in such a state. It undermines your argument that we should be concerned and consequently act when you write that you are not "even interested in brainless shows like this one." Did it not occur to you that the reason people read and post at this site (even crashing the servers on the night of the show's premier) is because they are fans of the show and its cast? So while I'm very unhappy with the production company and would like to see the producer held accountable if he broke Panamanian law, pardon me for not jumping on your self righteous band wagon. BMP rented a house for the crew, but not for the cast. They stayed in the Palapas that were constructed -- probably too close to the water line. The building used to house the TV equipment was much further away, along the road that was built. That area, and the neighboring "palatial" homes were all out of bounds for the cast. They would have been fined and or penalized in the game if they broke those rules. We have formally asked BMP to respond to the Tree Coalition article. They have a right to defend themselves, although I often kick them in the teeth first before seeking their side of many things (but I have often represented cast members on the challenge shows). As for your invitation to Panama, when we see the BMP reply, we'll decide if that is necessary. If they deny everything, and the Tree Coalition people tell us the place is still trashed, then I'll make a decision on the appropriate response.
