I thought the teaser for The Island. coming when it did at the end of the Hollywood season, was absolutely brilliant. But, waiting to exploit that buzz to the benefit of both the challenge and for other MTV shows, was beyond idiotic. If they paid someone for that marketing advice, I hope they paid no more than a dollar for it. I would have argued for one new think a week, akin to our weekly spoiler, to sustain and grow audience excitement for the show. I know that they think so highly of this challenge that they decided to fast-track another one and were actually talking to some of The Island cast before they ever left Panama, so why let it lay dormant over the summer. It makes not sense to me.
I see your point. I have to agree that their placing of the trailer right behind the season finale was a great idea. But I feel like they should promote it more. Without giving anything away, they should promote it more. May I ask why they fast-tracked this next Challenge? I understand why they would be so happy about this Challenge, but why would that affect the production rate of the next Challenge. They were already asking the cast if they would do the next Challenge? May I ask if that included the whole cast?

No more answers coming from me because the sources of supply are very slim indeed. Production rate has everything to do with potential ratings and the anticipated revenue stream. They can only think of having a winner and how to exploit that probability financially. Every decision is about making the stockholders as happy as possible as quickly as possible.

I was thinking you meant they were asking all of the cast if they would do the next Challenge. I see. So do you have a clue or a guess as to when they would start the casting process and the production?
Okay. Thanks for the answer. I was thinking you meant they were asking all of the cast if they would do the next Challenge. I see. So do you have a clue or a guess as to when they would start the casting process and the production?
yes...

If you keep asking it is more likely that I will push back the "release date" on that spoiler... :paint2:
I like to assume that V does know everything, and will just tell us what he wants when he wants :D
I have to agree he only tells us enough to keep us begging for more but hey I love spoilers so it doesn't bother me.

The man is a magician/genius! I may know 20% of what I'd like to know, but if I gave it all away the instant I learn it, what would we do between now and September 17th?

Bacchus is crazy when it comes to this stuff. But then again so are you. And I am amazed that you don't know everything you would like.
I agree with you. Bacchus is crazy when it comes to this stuff. But then again so are you. And I am amazed that you don't know everything you would like.
Perhaps I should state what the 100% of what I want to know includes... 1. All text messages exchanged between and among cast members from the point in time when they were first contacted by 51 minds until the cast was together for the first time (perhaps at LAX or at their hotel the night before.) 2. The correlated phone records of all cast members from the point in time when they were first contacted by 51 minds until the cast was together for the first time (perhaps at LAX or at their hotel the night before.) 3. All text messages of all cast members to each other from the point in time when they were first contacted by 51 minds until the cast was together for the first time (perhaps at LAX or at their hotel the night before.) 4. The casting producer's pre-show notes of conversations with cast members and other producers. 5. The daily storyline updates for the field producers (who were on loan from BMP's challenge crew) because I know they would have been true to habit, comfort and shortcut production techniques. 6. At least 50 hours of tape from the house that was not editied into the show because it may have shown intelligent discussion among players and not been drama-filled. 7. The full crew roster including their myspace and facebook pages. 8. Email and phone calls from people close enough to the production to know outcomes and alliances. Of the above I have only about 20% for I Love Money. Notice that the list does not include any information obtained from cast members.

I didn't know you wanted other stuff regarding what had happened outside of the Island. But then again, it would be quite interesting to see who was contacting who before the Challenge. I would also like to see, what goes on in the Challenge that doesn't make it to air. Stuff that would be interesting to watch.
Well the Island website is up now!
