and greg, man oh man, he is going to be largly fined by MTV for not attending, because yes, they are obligated to be there.
That is not going to happen. MTV did not require that he attend. The producer did not even get to the 2nd step of cajoling and begging which comes before the legals type call to remind your of your contract terms. The only power that MTV or BMP has, in reality, is to withhold money from a future payment as a fine for some infraction. Depending upon the contract and the state of jurisdiction, some lawyers might advise a client that in the absence of a specific structure of fines for specific infractions, that such behavior (fining people) might be considered by the court to be arbitrary and capricious. Clauses regarding fines, penalties and encumbrances to receiving compensation would all be areas of great interest to me when negotiating any TV appearance contract. (PS. For those who think I've lost my mind, this is not a defense of Greg. It would take a court order to force me to represent him)
V1 Man it is an honor that you believe that my response annoyed you. But seriously if you take away what I said at the end of my response. This wasn't the best reunion show that MTV has had. Probably the best reunion with all the fights had to be Austin. Do you agree or disagree. GREAT PEOPLE OF VEVMO!!!!
Fighting during a reunion show is pointless and stupid. Nothing constructive comes from it. The events that proceeded them occurred many months earlier, so if issues had not been resolved then an hour or so of TV time is not going to discover a miracle cure for anything. Some of those in the Austin cast are my friends and I'm always embarrassed for them when I think of that reunion. I can't possibly compare the Hollywood reunion to any other because it was done live. The production crew was very aware of how difficult it would be to pull off great TV, hence we get a live show at 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon. I've been on set for several reunion shows and know how heavily produced they are, including cast occasionally re-arguing things so the video looked better (i.e., "Let me do 'take two' on that one..." You're entitled to enjoy people looking like idiots or relishing in the discord. It is why some people enjoy trainwreck television. It's simply not for me.
I agree with you V1 fighting is not necessary but I must admit that to me brining on Janelle to "attack" Will (which is what it seemed like) was in poor taste
The production crew was very aware of how difficult it would be to pull off great TV, hence we get a live show at 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon.
I wonder what they are cutting on the re-broadcasts. You know they just can't help themselves.....
you are very right V1man but in your opinion what do you think was the best real world reunion and why?
I wonder what they are cutting on the re-broadcasts. You know they just can't help themselves.....
Lyndsey? lol Seriously she made so many mistakes on there but hey I'm not complaining it was a great season and th reunion had it's moments.
you are very right V1man but in your opinion what do you think was the best real world reunion and why?
The truth is that there are moments in each reunion show that have become my favorites. I've always refused attempts by others for me to rank seasons. I find myself with the same point of view about reunion shows. I do have a favorite challenge reunion show, though: The Duel.
the live setting was perfect for Dave and Bri who didnt have a problem reminiscing about the the hollywood house, everyone else resembled a steroids congress hearing.. lets not talk about the past. Janelle coming out dogging Will and looking for an apology was pathetic.. i felt bad for Will but he didnt do anything to defend himself.. maybe the high road??. .. Sarah's fake smile throughout the show was horrendous.. her not watching the show disappointed me. sometimes watching yourself can be the best thing
I actually enjoyed Janelle coming to the reunion. I didn't know MTV even did stuff like that. Will looked shocked and he seemed to be squirming in his chair. And he was just speechless and it was LIVE. OMG, that was just hilarious!!!! I guess it goes to show karma is a *****.:laugh2:
I was really upset that Nick did not get to talk much, I think he was a very fun person but he did call Sarah out a bit which I was so glad for
i was really upset that Nick did not get to talk much, I think he was a very fin person but he did call sarah out a bit which I was so glad for
yup i agree... it was basically like nick and brittney weren't even on the show at all... like others have said, will's video was better than the entire reunion show! the cast members know what we want better than bmp/mtv does
i was really upset that Nick did not get to talk much, I think he was a very fin person but he did call sarah out a bit which I was so glad for
Yeah I mentioned that to him on myspace. He didn't get that much time to talk. They were more focused on other topics that didn't involve them...

She can't really grow from the show without watching. I would have had a better view of Sarah if it seemed that she had learned something/changed a bit on the reunion. The rest of the cast seems a bit alienated from her.
Before seeing the reunion show I was going to give Will the benefit of the doubt. Janelle should have known there would be crazy times while Will was on the show. Maybe they should have discussed getting more serious when filming was over. And on the show in Will's confessionals and interviews he was all, "I'm into janelle", "Janelle is the one." Not his exact wording. But remember in one of the last episodes (maybe the last) Janelle and Will were walking up a hill and Will was talking about settling down together. Then on the reunion show he acted all shocked when he heard the 'love' word. Why fake tears if he didn't care about Janelle. Up until the reunion show I didn't think Will was a dog. But I do now. I was never the biggest Janelle fan from her season, but for real, he did make it seem like it was him and Janelle forever. Remember him saying to Brittni that he'll never care about her like he does Janelle? Come on! Who says that to another person? I'm not a guy so i don't know what Will's deal is but he lied and cheated--not just on janelle, but on the viewers who took Will for his word. I'm disappointed.
The Real World Hollywood: REUNION So This weekend we filmed The Real World Hollywood Reunion LIVE at MTV Studios in NYC in Times Square. I like that I didn't have to travel too far for this like I usually have to for other things and that I could bring a couple friends with me to kinda see what I do and what goes on behind the scenes. I was really excited to see all the castmates (regardless if I like the or not). Together Again A lot of us were tired just from a hectic week and Dave and I hade an engagement the night before. Will had a wedding to attend on Friday so didn't get into NYC till Saturday morning and MTV had a car service pick me up at 10am, so we all were pretty tired. I was the last one to get there and saw everyone in the green room just chillin. I went through said my "hi" to everyone. All the girls looked amazing.. ..I couldn't stop telling Kim how great she looked in her tight fitting outfit. First time I seen Bri with the new Do..loved it. Brit was stunning as usual..love that girl.. Talked with Joey about his travels, with Sarah bout some hosting stuff..and Will Threw me my Tres Amigos Shirt..(he got them made last minute, good job Will). Sittin Up in my Room.. Some of us are getting hair and makeup done..some of us are just up and talkin to people and some of us just sittin in the green room, and low energy. It was pretty boring.. we were just waiting there and it definitely didn't help the vibe. Im ready to pass out.. Will is half asleep.. Im like Yo.. I need to get some energy..red bull isn't helping. I get an idea to go outside and just talk to the fans waiting on line to be in the audience... Will agrees and as soon as we hit the streets..it was crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy. We freaked A LOT of people out..no1 expected to just see us just hanging out there talking to people. We go over by the line and just started to take a billlllllion pictures, give hugs, handshakes and just love to the people standing online to come in for the show. This was actually the most fun and energy I had all day. Everyone was so positive and nice to us, it was great. ITS SHOWTIME! So the time is here and we are about to go LIVE! They are even showing the show on the Time Square Screens!!! NUUTZ. I was already pumped from our fan visit outside so I had the energy. Then once she introduced the show and we did our lil TRES AMIGOS intro.. I was really pumped. The show started off cool and even though she messed up a few of our names it was still going good. She started to ask questions really not pertaining to me so I just shut my mouth and listened. Had nothing to say about Greg cause I obviously wasn't there for that and couldn't comment on the Joey situation cause I wasn't there for that either. I was nervous but honored that the first fan question was for the new kids! The Sarah question I think went ok....("Charles Barkley called me and told me Im now in his fave 5's") haven't you guys seen the T-Mobile commercials with him and Dwayne Wade!??! Hahaha. I could of REALLY said A LOT more in regards to Sarah..but I wasn't asked. I have a lot I could say but don't have like anything TO say..does that make sense to you guys?? In other words, we're all past what happened on the show but still have views and none of us felt it necessary to go beyond the question and vent about things we weren't like even angry about. A lot of us felt like this.. I know Brianna had tons to say and so did myself and Dave..about a lot of things.. but we just weren't ASKED!! Booringggg... We were bored, so I know YOU guys were definitely bored loool. I think for a show like that you need someone to INSTIGATE and evoke emotions from people. None of the questions did this. So after a while people were just like waaatevaaa.. I truly thought this was going to be a Shit show..and it was..but not in a dramatic way like I thought. We weren't "playing it safe" with our answers we just weren't asked anything to give a dangerous , juicy response.. which was soo lame to me. Bri and I did a interview later that night for a magazine and we went balllistic hahaha cause The guy asked controversial questions that you couldn't help but answer with emotion. SURPRISE SURPRISE I bet some people Janell wouldn't show up because Im cool with Janell and know she is soo past it and is back in school working towards Med School (Shoutout Dr.Casanave) and shes in love with dude in her current relationship. When I tell you I was SHOCKED TO SEE HER.. we ALL WERE LIKE..."WHOA!" No one knew she was there. MTV did a damn good job hiding her cause we were definitely taken back by her appearance. Theres really not much more for me to say here..she had things to say and said them. It's a weird position to like be cool with two people and wanna stand up for one but really know that it isn't your place. Either way my hat goes off to Will for not saying anything. It could of went a lot worse and it didn't. MTV wanted a shouting match and he didn't give it to them...it took a couple elbow nudges and some suddle "Shut the ***k up, don't say shit" thrown his way by me but hes his own man and made the right decision in not putting fuel to the fire. I ended up speaking to Janell at the wrap party after the show and we just sat and had a one on one. Since I was soo sure she wasn't going to show..I was REALLY curious on what made her so I had to know. She pretty much said she was asked WAY before, back when the season started thought if she did it would be more on a "yea that was then, we're cool no worries" terms. And then the more and more she saw the more and more questions she got and the more and more she felt she needed to tell her side of the story. I remember one time during the season I was talking to her about how I hated how the girls in the house would comment about the girls we brought home because it was unfair. The girls we brought home couldn't do confessionals and interviews to defend themselves but would have to watch on TV everyone call them ****** and stuff. And her response was that is exactly why I was very much against dating Will at first because wateva happens I wont be able to defend myself. So I think this was her way of making up for that. She definitely holds no grudges or is angry or anything like that....in my opinion she just wanted to be able to tell her side of the story and that made sense to me now. OVERALL I pretty much hated the reunion show. It put everyone in a weird mood and they focused on the wrong things and in the wrong way. How are you not going to ask us whats going on now!? It was an entertainment geared season!! WTF..And on a MUCH MUCH deeper level..how does someone pass away during the season and you not ask one question about it... Since I've been working on things with Brandons Friends and Family I asked them if there was anything specifically they wanted to me say because I was 100% sure I would get asked about him during the reunion. They sent me an e-mail wth a few things to touch on but were pretty much like.."nick just speak from the heart and that's good enough.." I don't get emotional, Im not "sensitive" but honestly...I was hurt.. I was truly hurt that something so serious happened in the season and it wasn't touched on..and mostly that I then had to rush through my thoughts to say a few things his parents wanted me to say..and that made me feel bad hence why I got a lil teary eyed...I dunno man....I know you guys want drama but for real, theres got to be some sort of balance between what the viewers want and whats morally right.. and I think morals lost out on this one. Anyways feel free to stop at Brandon Schantz Productions for info on how you can contribute to the endowment his friends and family started at The University of Texas. Thank you guys for watching..and be sure to look out for the TRES AMIGOS TOUR! Nick Brown ..its a movement..
Charles Barkley called me and told me Im now in his fave 5’s”
That was my favorite part of the reunion show. Almost as funny was Susie....er...Lyndsay asking you if you were being serious, lol! ;)
Thanks for that post Nick! I'm really enjoying getting all the cast members views on the reunion.
I second this post. It's one of the few seasons where I'm actually interested in what the cast members thought about the situation or what they're up to now. Everyone looked like they wanted to go to sleep though. The Charles Barkley Fave 5 thing was great. Although now I wonder if Tres Amigos is going to start a clothing line now...

I wasn't trying to be disrespectful, Nick. I knew I was wrong.
Nick- I apologize for the offensive question on behalf of all the vevmo people. You have been awesome both onscreen and in the vevmo community. Your relationship with Brandon was one of the most touching aspects of the show and i apperciate and respect all that you are doing for his family and keeping his memory alive. xoxo -Jill

I didn't ask the question but I guess I was wrong in saying a week even though it looked like that by editing but still we shouldn't have asked it. I wasn't trying to be a smartass or make a "joke" neither. My bad
Nick, the people commenting here are your fans. They only know what BMP gave them. The questions are innocently, if occasionally, inarticulately asked.
Nick, thanks for posting your thoughts about the reunion show and the background regarding Janelle. It really gives us some insight. I previously posted that I think Janelle was wrong for going on the show, and I still do, but I also see where she was coming from. IMO the way the segment went down did not make her look like she was over it or had moved on to bigger and better things. But that also speaks on MTV's production. Anyway, I appreciate the insight and thank you for posting! Also, I want to say that we encounter people in everyday that really affect our lives. We may know them for a few weeks or a lifetime, but the impact they have on us can be profound. We don't know what transpired between Nick and Brandon in the short time that they knew each other, but obviously it really affected Nick for him to react the way he did. We need to respect his feelings and the fact that Brandon is no longer here.
