Big Brother 10 Spoilers
WeLoveBigBrother.com spoke exclusively to BB’s Executive Producer Allison Grodner Tuesday about the brand new season. While the houseguests may not be in the house yet, Grodner said the work is well underway. “We’re getting closer and closer to the big move in day,” she said. “We’ve got the house still getting fixed. I’m watching it right now as we’ve got a cleaning crew in there right now and we’re making it all nice and pretty for the group.” Grodner revealed when this group of 13 moves in, they will be complete strangers. “As far as the cast is concerned,” she said, “rest assured they are all strangers.” They also will be diverse in their backgrounds, points of view and ages. “We have a wide range of ages this year,” she said. “There’s young, there’s old, there’s in between, there’s parents, there’s students, there’s people with white collar jobs, blue collar jobs. It’s all very different. We’ve got a lot of very specific types of people in this house, and people who have very extreme points of view than maybe we’ve had in the past.” She said the house will also reflect this diversity. “This year [the house] reflects the cast in all the different places and eras they come from,” she said. “It’s a very different house, it’s not our winter house. This is a very different thing and it goes with the cast.” Grodner also confirmed live audiences will return to the show in a different way, as producers wanted to carefully include some successful elements from the show’s past. “[We wanted to take] the original concept of the show of strangers moving into a house — with diverse points of view, coming from all places, all different ages, all different walks of life — and try to put that back into play for this special Big Brother 10 season,” she said. Don’t forget about the twist! Grodner explained it will play out from day one. “The game starts before these people even enter the house,” she hinted. “Expect the unexpected. Expect a completely different Big Brother from what you’ve seen this past year.” Grodner has been a part of Big Brother since Season 2. Watch the interview below. Confirmed information: Houseguests coming to town soon Houseguests will be going through press interviews soon Cleaing crew in the house right now “Absolutely all strangers” with diverse points of view and backgrounds All different ages Twists and turns down the road Live audiences will involve fans more than audiences in Season 1 13 houseguests with extreme points of view House represents the “places and eras” that the cast comes from The game starts before the houseguests even go in the house on premiere night
[via JokersUpdates] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tbcYD5Dplk I wonder what she means by “The game starts before these people even enter the house,” ???
I wonder what she means by "The game starts before these people even enter the house," ???
I remember **** saying something about being allowed to watch past seasons in a hotel while they waited to enter the house. I wonder if she is talking about the preparatory time before the cameras actually start rolling. BTW: I broke this thread off for spoilers if there are any in the days leading up to the launch.
So far this sounds very promising. I can only hope at any rate. It looks like they are going for the diversity from season 1, hopefully the house guests that hold extreme views are not eliminated early on. I would like to have the control back of the eliminations, but at the same time I am not sure that we have learned our lesson from Season 1. Maybe if we had control of key evictions at certain points of the game.
Grodner said that the fans would be involved..... You don't think that we are going to evict the house guests do you?? I hope not.... I like it the way it is now.

However, that **** they pulled with the mystery box this year.....very disappointing and made me not want to vote ever again in a Big Brother poll!
K, so how much longer now?? I am going nuts this summer, there is just absolutely nothing on!
K, so how much longer now?? I am going nuts this summer, there is just absolutely nothing on!
Just 10 days Katie! :D (now that it is officially July 3 eastern time)
Woo hooo! Well, I have a feeling I am going to be saving much more money when BB comes on. I get so bored any evening I'm home with nothing on tv besides movies that I have seen thousands of times that I just end up going out. But having BB to look forward to 3 times a week as well as After Dark means I have a reason to stay in, and it will be beneficial to both my bank account and my liver! Woot! ;) Oh wait.... any word on if they're bringing Afterdark back this summer?
If someone puts it on youtube I will post the Early show on here tomorrow for those of you that miss it. :)
I can say right now that I will be one of those that miss it, lol. 7AM? Yikes! I am sure you will have it up here by noon. ;)
Oh yes, I saw ***** blog when he posted that...the first thing I thought was creepy.
If someone puts it on youtube I will post the Early show on here tomorrow for those of you that miss it. :) (i would do it myself if I knew how!)
I'll be missing it too, I have class at 8 and will be gone by 7. But at least I have something to look forward to.
I think thats was everyone's 1st thought.
I think thats was everyone's 1st thought.
So far so good (no Silverkid) although you know they are saving the "best" for last. :fear2:
When they said older people I guess they meant older people. That guy had to at least be in his 70's. That should be interesting.
For the love of Bengay, it looks like Big Brother will finally add a mature player (we're talking septuagenarian here, people) to the cast when the show returns to CBS this Sunday. CBS is expected to reveal the entire cast tomorrow morning on The Early Show, but EW.com has already learned that a 75-year-old man (and ardent fan of the franchise) will be among the players vying for the $500,000 cash prize this summer. For a show that typically features 20-something hotties with gorgeous bodies, recruiting a great grandfather is a (welcome) first for the show. "It’s the most diverse cast we’ve ever had in terms of ages, backgrounds, points of view, and personalities," executive producer Allison Grodner says of the next installment. "Big Brother 9 involved couples, singles, and soul mates who were young, single, impulsive, and ready to party. We do a 180 with Big Brother 10. This summer you’re going to find a 22-year-old body builder and a 75-year-old great grandpa in the house, and everyone else in between. We’ve had diversity of age in past, but he's clearly the oldest contestant we’ve ever had."
