Maybe this Challenge will be longer than usual. All I know is I am looking forward to finding out who is replacing Tyrie. I would actually have liked to see one of the Hollywood girls be cast not Ev. Although I know Bri is busy with music, but Sarah and Kim could compete.
If they are really establishing the younger stars they could bring Trisha in. I think I heard that she was interested in a Challenge. She could be potential for great drama.
Please anyone but Trisha...shoot I would even take Shauvon...just to laugh at her when she is drunk, that was always entertaining.
Please anyone but Trisha...shoot I would even take Shauvon...just to laugh at her when she is drunk, that was always entertaining.
Why not? I think Trisha would be great on a Challenge. Although I would rather have Parisa on one. I'm sorry but I think it would take one day of Shauvon getting drunk and crying for her to get sent home. Trosha would be diabolical. Although she would be entertaining. By the cast, if there are Gauntlet per se, what looks like it would be the best match up?
All I know is I am looking forward to finding out who is replacing Tyrie.
Don't take this personally, because you've just given me an excuse to point out that careful reading of what Lord Bacchus writes is important. People read a name and instantly jump to a belief that is often most misplaced, and in hingsight, silly. "Replacing" Tyrie isn't accuracte, because it appears that he was never on the casting list. "Replacing" suggests to me that he decided against doing the challenge after first agreeing to do so, agreeing he or others discovered that he was unable me meet the terms of the offered contract, or the invite was withdrawn by BMP for some unknown reason. The only reason his name came up here was as the result of something said by a very infrequent poster. Other websites gave the name life after reading it here. Not a single one appears to have checked to see if there might be evidence that it was true or false, the standards of journalism regrarding sources of such things having not been a priority in many quarters.

You are just correcting a frequent mistake. It's okay. Well, I would like to see another Hollywood castmember be the missing spot. It would be nice to see Dave not be alone. Joey would be great for the Challenge. He would probably be a brute.
Why not? I think Trisha would be great on a Challenge.
Sure she would bring the drama, but that girl just gave me a headache with her holier than thou, racist, "I am never wrong" personality. It wears thin real quick and she learned absolutely nothing from her Real World experience so why even offer her a slot on a challenge, they need to be offering that girl therapy not a publicity oppurtunity. Besides she teaches young girls that watch these shows (right along with us) that acting like that is okay, and it is not...in the actual real world.

Religion is great but the way she was using it was annoying. Yeah and thats why I loved Parisa. She never took her ****. But her in a Challenge would be different. Imagine her getting physical.
But her in a Challenge would be different. Imagine her getting physical.
"Her" as in Trisha, or Parisa??
"Her" as in Trisha, or Parisa??
Her as in Trisha. I think it would be interesting. Parisa would also be interesting in a Challenge. I think she has the mental ability to take her far.
Her as in Trisha. I think it would be interesting. I think she has the mental ability to take her far.
I think she has the mental ability to not need to go in the first place. Of course, I like to suck up from time to time. ;)
I think she has the mental ability to not need to go in the first place. Of course, I like to suck up from time to time. ;)
Haha. Definitely. But Parisa is one of my favorite five castmembers ever and it wouldn't hurt to see her do a Challenge. I'm excited to hear the final cast. A lot of newcomers to the Challenge brings my hopes up because we never know how they are going to be. I see Tonya taking them to school.
Her as in Trisha. I think it would be interesting. Parisa would also be interesting in a Challenge. I think she has the mental ability to take her far.
Yeah it could get interesting, but it could also be another big headache. One the other hand though Parisa on a challenge would be great but she is working on much bigger and better things from what I hear with her music.
Yeah it could get interesting, but it could also be another big headache. She is such an amazing person. Yeah and she is going steady. Her music doen't sound bad either.
...she is going steady.
Do you mean what I think you mean? She is not still in high school. Adults have relationships, they don't "go steady." Of course, if you actually meant something else, then never mind.
Do you mean what I think you mean? She is not still in high school. Adults have relationships, they don't "go steady." Of course, if you actually meant something else, then never mind.
No I meant she was moving along steadily with her music. Haha. So who whould everyone like the missing spot on the guys to be?
No I meant she was moving along steadily with her music. Haha. So who whould everyone like the missing spot on the guys to be?
Good, you had me seriously worried about your age... Anyone but Evan or CT is ok with me.
Good, you had me seriously worried about your age... Anyone but Evan or CT is ok with me.
Hahah. Yeah. I agree. But I really do not want to see Kenny either. I still do not see how CT hasn't been banned from MTV. Alton coming back wouldn't be bad. I think he's a good competitor.
The challenge participant list has been updated. :suicide2: "Perfect Reflection"

Parisa and Trisha should totally do a challenge together. Same team. Perfection. (for us, not you Parisa, lol) but seriously....WHAT GREAT TV!

so is this challenge coming on this year or next?
so is this challenge coming on this year or next?
I think the working assumption is that it will be this year, followed by the Real World Brooklyn in 2009.
renaldob it is airing this fall. According to Bacchus. The taping begins in June. If Road Rules is done for, then why not air it a bit earlier? We don't have to wait for the season to be over.

Grr. So now we have Ev Kenny and Ryan! Please don't let anyone else from freshmeat come! This is bad enough! (i have a feeling we will be seeing Evan also)

I think I would like to comment further on the new cast revelations. As much as I protest that I would rather have any other warm bodies filling in the slots that Kenny and Evelyn occupy, they still make for interesting TV. Without Coral or Beth making their presence felt this time around, the series is in need of sound bites and Kenny is a walking Tickle Me Elmo on crack. Even though he is an attention seeker with a bloated sense of self - he still drops the one liners that MTV likes to use to fill the action scene voice overs. Although nowhere near as entertaining as the above mentioned legends of the Challenge, this role needed to be filled by someone and he seems to be the right guy for job - even if everything about him is so very, very wrong. Concerning Ev, I think "we" got off on the wrong foot during Fresh Meat. She solely blamed Danny for her ouster (which was true, but still!) and that gave me the immediate impression that she was not one to account for her own actions. With Inferno III, she played a robotic fembot that was unfeeling and without punch. It was with the premiere of Gauntlet III that I began to sense that she was a real person with real feelings, and not the female terminator. I know that the situation with Brooke was quite devastating to her and with the reunion special we got to see a side of Ev that previously lay dormant in the MTV editor's video vault. She seemed vulnerable and that allowed the viewers to peer for a moment into her soul. I actually liked what I saw. Now I am not saying Ev is going to become a favorite of mine, but I will cut her a little slack and accept that she is going to be on the show (as probably the most physically dominant female competitor of all time.) I think that you all should do the same...
