Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Island

Now this is a discussion I can sink my teeth into! Hopefully more will join in. I think all of our insights have merit. Unfortunately, we won't know until the challenge is over which ones are right and which are wrong. I don't put any particular stock in my musings above but thought a contrary offering for the purposes of discussion might be useful. :pleasantry:

As for the posts about Tyrie's it is quite hair raising and he could easily be placed just to cover up for somebody a bit more popular. How much incentive could they have to bring him back if he was the first to leave the Inferno, he left early on the Gauntlet, and isn't quite entertaining. As for the sociogram: Brooke could easily make it far due to her social activity and the fact that she is allianced with Jenn and Colie. It could take her far but she has a loud, and at times in-your-face attitude. This could easily make others want to send her home. Tonya is now tied for the most challenges. This paints a huge target on her back because this makes her knowledgeable about the game and strategic. She doesn't have many foes on this season but doesn't have many friends either. If i remember she had problems with Robin because she supposedly had an affair with Mark, Robin's boyfriend. She isn't necessarily clear of drama. Plus her attitude is always a problem with others.

the next challenge is definitely duel format....the grapevine just informed me :) confirmed is EV

"confirmed is Eve" -- This is something one named potential cast member has said to several people; however, I'm not aware of any basis in fact for the statement. It's not surprising that the idea has finally taken on a life of its own.

(I am not sure how loyal to Beth BMP/MTV would actually be since I don't have an inside scoop)

so the final four cast members haven't been named yet?

Should it ever be necesessary that I discuss it further, you'll just have to read the court transcript at that time. ;)

So the next Challenge is 100% not going to be The Duel 2 right? And it isn't Fresh Meat 2. I think someone already said it was not going to be BOTS3..... So that means it must be a new challenge. I am excited to see what it is. (I hope it is what Bacchus said it was)

I like the concept that they are going for. To be loyal to Beth I think they are making it the Duel 2 format just not use the name. So a different kind of concept but Duel 2 rules such as every man and woman for themselves and two winners in the ends. Sounds amazing. If in that case they may add some 4 odd players or not. Either way this Challenge is shaping up to be great. Ev being on this challenge would kill it. We finally have an interesting cast without any Fresh Meat(besides Ryan) and bringing Ev would suck. I honestly want to see someone send her home and watch her drown in her tears. Hahah.

I loved the Duel and it would be interesting because there isn't anyone trying to sabotage a certain gender day. And what would make it even better is if they brought back the intergender competitions and duels as well. It was interesting to see. Doesn anyone know why they stopped doing intergender eliminations?

A BMP Senior exec told me it was too tough to make them fair (under the law). That is why they have avoided a Battle of the Sexes as well.

I can see why they avoid Battle of the Sexes though. The second season was terrible for the girls. A select few did great but the men were too much. Although another Battle of the Sexes would be refreshing. Looking at these girls it doesn't seem that too many would beat any of the guys on this season.
