"lets not get ghetto" "i dont care if your from the most inner city black ville", **** Kim could have really gotten her as beaten, I'm sure she wouldn't say that any other time
I really don't like what Kim did. She really went to far. I know being from down south you may still have some unconscious KKK in you but gosh... the way she spoke to Brianna was unbelievable! Can't wait to see the show next week.
"lets not get ghetto" "i don't care if your from the most inner city blackville"
I literally cringed while watching that piece over and over...
Well isn't that exactly the type of person we want to see on the show though? I cringe too hearing the comment, but I believe we're watching someone who will learn a lot from their experience. What good is it to send in people who are totally "PC" and won't benefit as much from being around such diverse people. It's probably going to get worse and a lot of you are going to hate Kim if you don't already, but consider this....... Do you think Bri would still be friends with her today if Kim didn't learn from this experience? I think they both pushed each others buttons a lot too. I'm really excited to see a season really exposing people and personal growth on this season. I feel like I've seen a lot of seasons of conflict in the past, but I don't know that anyone really came out of it a better person. I know for a fact that most of these people came out of this experience feeling like they grew a lot and got so much out of this experience. ;) Having said that--- I think that's exactly why production probably cringed when they realized they got GREG. I think he was very closed to truly opening up to the experience. He seemed very resistant to personal growth on this trip. I mean we have a "rehab" story in this season!!! How much more change and personal growth do you have then that? :)
You have made a very good argument as to the growth experience that The Real World offers to cast members that choose to embrace the diversity and unfamiliar surroundings present in the house. However, you have to understand that as an audience we grow throughout the experience as well. It would be hard for us to see Kim as you see her being we have only made it to day 2 of 160. If in fact she does find rebirth through her time in Los Angeles and come out a more aware, more appreciative, more culturally respectful young woman, it will be picked up on by us the viewers and we will respond in kind. Just as you ask us to bear with Kim as she makes a metamorphosis like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon as this season progresses, you must bear with us as we come to grasp the materials being offered us via the at large edit (our weekly cut.) Only through this process will an equilibrium be found and until the big picture is visible, we can only comment on what we have seen.
I LIKE BUTTERFLIES! LOL No, seriously, I understand.... just offering perspective and thanks for yours. Me love you long time BACCHUS! ;) MUAH!

I thought it was interesting that last episode Kimberly was asking Brianna to show her how to work the pole, yet she then turns around and uses that an an insult against her. Charming.
I knew Kim was going to be "the ignorant racist southern girl" of the house lol

You must do drugs'.....oh boy oh boy...
Kimberly's an idiot. And Brianna gave Kimberly exactly what she wanted. I'm sure Kimberly's now running around saying, "see, I told you she was ghetto! That's how they are in Blackville!" Immaturity at its worst.

I Have Family Down There
DING DING DING!!! Hollywood's version of Trasha reveals herself.
Honestly, I LIVE in Columbia, SC, and although I don't like or agree with racism and ignorance, it is all around me down here. To be perfectly honest, Kimberly, is actually on the lighter side of the spectrum. That's "real" unfortunately. There's a lot that hasn't changed here. :(

Myspace Bulletin from Kim:
I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the wonderful, kind messages from so many of ya'll. It really means a lot and the support is overwhelming. I wish I had time to respond to each of you, but I can't possibly do that. I just wanted to say thank you and I do read them. Take care and hope you enjoy the season! Team Kimberly
I get the funny feeling (from the upbeat note) no one from this form is sending her messages on Myspace....lol.

Hi! ^^ *waves to everyone* Okay...now that that's over with... *headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk* Gaah! I just knew it in the pit of my stomach that Kimberly would simply squick me the most! >_< I can't jump up and down and scream too much, since I hear **** like "omg! thats soooo Ghetto!" "*scoff* You're such a Ghetto Hoe", etc. All the time. I just want to smack ignorant people like that. *eyeroll* I'm from Mississippi, and i can go ahead and tell you, we've got plenty of fools like Kimberly walking around. :/ Here's some of the **** I have to listen to on a daily basis: "...well, there's only one colored girl in FFA...I think...no?...yeah...i don't know." "...NAACP?? Dang! All we had to remember was 3 letters! (kkk)" "I don't like Mexicans" <--------i wanted to kill that guy...my nephew is half Mexican :| Oh, believe me...I could go on, and on. (but i won't ^^) That clip and Kimberly **** me off so much because i hear that ignorant **** ALL the time from girls just like her. It's scary! Almost like some Children of the Corn type of stuff!
I'm from Mississippi, and i can go ahead and tell you, we've got plenty of fools like Kimberly walking around. :/
I blame it on upbringing and insular communities. Hopefully she will learn from this experience and see where she is wrong.

Almost like some Children of the Corn type of stuff!
Hi, welcome to the site!! A lot of people in Texas say that you should absolutely not drive through Mississippi because you will get lynched if you are a minority...I always thought it was just a dumb joke until I started growing up and seeing soem of the things that go on there. But it's just not right because it give a whole state of people a bad name even though it does not reflect everyones personal opinion.

There always seems to be at least one person that's a little sheltered when it comes to different cultures in this country. I honestly hope they get over it after this coming episode though, because it just brings me back to the Coral and Mike days where it was SO played out! And I must say, I freakin love this site. I never knew it existed!!!
Yeah, that "ghetto" comment was a little grating. But I still get an alright vibe from her. Like how she was trying to give Greg a chance while everyone else was bashing him. When she said maybe they just don't know how to read him. She doesn't seem like a malignant person, is what I mean. Sheltered and ignorant? Yes. Trisha-esque? I don't think so.

(I still am not a fan of Kim's, though.)
I understand that Kimberly might be trying to improve the situation, and seeing the full uncensored clip does help her cause to some extent, but at the same time if she was talking to me like that I'd not take it as well as Bri did in the initial stages. There are times in life when it is just better to not unnecessarily insert yourself into certain situations. Bri would have sat out there and eventually cooled down and everything would have been fine. Instead, Kim sought her out (called her a ****** and her guests ******s) and started talking in a tone that would set just about anyone off.
Yeah I can see that there are 2 sides to the story, but if I was Bri the ghetto would have come out of me as well...I might not have hit her, but there are tons of ways to make a girls life **** without resorting to physical violence.
