Save NBC's Las Vegas Campaign
I happened upon this Save Las Vegas Campaign site today, and I just have to say: Enough with sending the networks piles of junk (what is with the baby booties!) Sure, the mail spam tactic worked with Jericho, but I think that one trick pony has been played out. I remember a few months ago reading about the Save Journeyman campaign which involved sending rice. Everyone is sending something these days. How about we move on to the next novel concept rather then recycle this out of control fan campaign trend? I am willing to bet that the networks just have that trash diverted to a warehouse, so it is not like they ever see it. If you really want to save the show how about you buy the some Las Vegas DVD's en masse and send the receipts in a big box to NBC? That would be putting your money where your mouth is and generating some revenue for the shows creators making it more financially appetizing to bring the show back (if they feel they can score on the back end.) Just an idea. Better then wasting your money on baby booties as at the very least you get to keep the DVDs! From the Las Vegas Fan site:
Thanks so much to everyone, we reached Goal #1! We shipped another 42 boxes of baby booties to NBC. This brings our total cases up to 67 which is a total of 2,745 baby booties! Our next goal is to raise enough money to send another 25 cases of baby booties to NBC which would bring our total to 94 cases and 4,545 baby booties. Now that is making a statement! Keep up the good work everyone. Let's flood NBC with as baby booties and letters as we possibly can. Big thanks to vNCR for making our Save Las Vegas button up above. Also thanks to Kelly, Jeff, Ruud, Leah, and everyone else for helping to run this campaign. Las Vegas really has the best fans :) The cast, crew, and writing staff of the show are extremely appreciative of our efforts, it means a lot to them that we all care enough about the show to fight for it. All of our packages should hit NBC this week so we should really be heard by then.
[ via lasvegas-theseries ]
You know, I've watched Las Vegas from the very first episode, but I'm not going to waste an ounce of energy trying to save a show that has been going steadily down hill for the past two season. Probably more if you look at it from a ratings stand point. It was time for it to end. Sure it sucks that we are left hanging and don't know if Delinda and the baby are okay, but again I find that I don't really care. I say demand a movie special to tie it all up, not a season renewal.
I prefer a more creative approach. I suggest that during the next NATPE even, Las Vegas fans kidnap an NBC executive and hold him/her hostage in a vintage vegas hotel ( or burried alive in the desert outside the city), until the network agrees to restart the series. Now that would be in the old school Vegas tradition!

They were also very good about using former reality people as occasional extras and stand-ins.
