I have seen Melissa on that show Girls Behaving Badly with Chelsea Handler.
That is Melissa from Real World New Orleans, not Miami. :D Melissa Padrón (Miami) Melissa Howard (New Orleans)
I don't remember the Miami season that well. I believe she was Puerto Rican and a Miami local. She and Dan got into it hardcore because she opened his mail. That's all I remember from the show. I do remember on one of the reunion shows in the nineties they said that she was a newscaster of some kind on a spanish television station, but that was years ago.
Oh wait! How could I forget?? She was also involved in the infamous threesome shower scene with Dan and the waitress!

Damn, Miami Melissa looks REALLY SKINNY in that pic, almost too much so!
Oh wait! How could I forget?? She was also involved in the infamous threesome shower scene with Dan and the waitress!
That's right i remember all the sounds coming out of the bathroom window and then I think she tried to deny it afterwards. She does not look the same in her picture Bacchus posted, skinnier maybe. I totally forgot her name was Melissa. I just saw that GBB show this weekend, my husband had it on watching it, he loves the hidden camara shows for some reason.
That's Melissa Howard from New Orleans. What is dbz???
DBZ is Dragonball (and Dragonball Z), it is an anime that has been out since 1984 it started out as manga, then an anime series and movies, and it is also a popular video game series.

HEY GUYS! It's Parisa. After more than one (less than five) prompt(s) from Bacchus to de-lurk and post, I'm here :) Love the thread. Love the site! It's come so far since it first started and we wanted to do that interview Katie!! (which again, I apologize I couldn't take part in from the MTV restrictions side of things.. ) Actually, now that the season is over, I think I'm free to answer any content related questions - in the event that anyone cares haha.. but yea, feel free to PM or post, I'm here, I lurk every once in a while and you guys are doing a great job - Bacchus you are the Barbara Walters of web 2.0... Hats off sir :) all the best, Parisa
Hi Parisa! Great to see you finally jump into our tiny village of Real World Love. ;) Well right off the bat, I have a quick couple of questions that are basically derivative works of what Roundables asked a page back. Part I: How is it that you worked things out with Trisha? Did one of you initiate dialog or were you put back into each others communicative spheres via MTV intervention (doing promos and such?) Part II: Which of the cast members confessionals had the biggest effect on you (positively or negatively) once returning home and watching the show? Part III: Speaking of Barbra Walters, Do you think Dunbar would cheat on Julie again if he knew that he could get away with it? (insert evil laugh here)
hi parisa! do you keep in touch with alex? looking at his myspace page he seems to fancy himself as a real star!
Hey Parisa, so glad you dropped a line! :) I was curious to know your current relationship with Shavaun? Her attitude on the reunion show still seemed somewhat hostile towards you, and her reasoning and logic about 'having her girls backs' was pretty ridiculous. Aaand was there any visible tension or catfighting between Ashli and Julie at the reunion show? Were they ever even in the same room together that you saw? Thanks for taking the time to join in. :)
Hi Parisa, welcome to the site it's great that you joined us, we were all very happy about seeing someone with a good head on her shoulders on the Real World so it is great to be able to talk to you and get your input. I do have a couple of questions for you though... What do we have to look forward to from you in the future? Have you been able to work on any music or anything?

Hi Parisa! I thought you handled yourself with such class and dignity throughout the show. That is hard to say about many Real Worlders after their stint. I was so angry of your treatment on the show when it was happening to you, I am glad you finally in the end had a good experience after Trisha left. Most christians do not act like her, BTW! I think you shamed kelly anne and Ashli into finally acting right by your classy example. You can tell I am a big fan of yours. My question to you is: How did your family react to your treatment on the show? Were they able to view the whole season as a good experience for you? Have they come around on your aspirations for your music? Also are you still on decent terms Dunbar, it seems that things had cooled between you two? Most Mississippi boys do not act like that either! I can answer that question for Bacchus, Dunbar is a serial cheater! I hope you continue to grace us with your presence Parisa!! You are one of my all time favorite cast members!
Dear AcidAnd: Alex who? Next! Dear Stacee: Thanks for throwing her a bone with queries she might actually respond to after I had her up against the ropes with my Stazi-esque interrogation! Geez, you'd fit in perfectly at Fox News interviewing Republican candidates with those nerf questions... Dear Chopkins: It was a rhetorical trap disguised as something thought provoking and you had to go spoil it! Yes, we all know the answer to the Dunbar Question, lol. Dear Katie: Seething tabloid items. I like the way you think. This is what we need more of!
Especially, when she said earlier on that it was easier to hang with guys. She said girls were too catty. Yes, Mrs. "I Love My Girls" said that ish, and must've forgot. Somebody should've played that clip back for her at the reunion.
Parisa have you met any Real Worlders from past seasons. I met Coral at a club, and she's just as scary in real life as on tv.
So with the exception of Katie, the rest of us are Larry King without suspenders!
Exactly! ;)
Bacchus[ Part I: I first saw her at the premiere in NY. Her plane was delayed (with Shauvon) and I remember being kind of nervous; will it be awkward? tense? and after a few hours of them being delayed I remember them finally getting there and I was so relieved that they were there safely that I like jumped up and gave her a hug. Very weird that that was my gut reaction but from that moment we kind of knew it was over and we were past it... As the season played we didn't keep in touch or anything and it was definitely weird to relive the intensity of it all but seeing her at the reunion was just as "fine" :) She was hanging out with Ashli a lot by that point and although we weren't bff'd out voluntarily, being brought together by MTV wasn't uncomfortable. Part II: I think seeing Dunbar's confessional about the "he's just not that into you" really hit me hard because I never saw it coming. We were pretty good friends leaving the show and I was kind of jaw-hanging open shocked that it got so mean. Part III: I don't know what Dunbar and Julie's status is at the moment but I'd rather not waste any energy contributing to the "turbulence." AcidAnd: Alex called me on Christmas and left a nice voicemail. Every once in a while we exchange a myspace message. What's the link to his myspace? I haven't seen it. Katiedid: Shauvon and I are fine. I don't talk to her outside of the random encounters we have for an appearance or MTV stint but I think the lack of communication or resolve to "agree to disagree" about that issue in particular was why it seemed like there was some sort of rift. Other than that, we're chill :). Aaand there was no tension or catfighting between Ashli and Julie because Julie didn't come to NY! stacee_danielle: Thank you :) I'm working on a BUNCH of stuff right now!! Writing and recording pretty intensively (about 11 songs deep right now) and after all the legal stuff gets squared away, an EP should be on iTunes. In between all the album work, I'm still traveling around to universities every now and again to do speaking engagements on cultural exchange/inter-faith dialogue and the plurality of growing up Muslim in America (immigration/race relations, etc.). Other projects include a few commercials in the works, nothing major until I get in the union and some work for a few causes I'm really into :) chopkins: will you be my valentine? :) My family was really supportive. I think in the beginning it was hard for my younger sister. Those first few episodes she was like "are you ever going to be cool?!" and I felt bad that she had to deal with other kids approaching her at school about what a ***** her sister was. It was hard for my mom to watch the way the girls treated me and then hear me on the phone with Ashli or KellyAnne. She really couldn't grasp how I was friends with them after watching all of that... but in the end they were all really proud of me and again, super supportive that I went through it all and came out alive :) They've definitely come around on the music goals as I've spent so much time in the studio and bringing home new tracks and they see I'm actually doing it! I'm not just saying "I want to sing, I want to make an album," I'm out there singing in front of 20,000 people at a Nets game and coming home with new material all the time. My mom has my stuff on her iTunes and listens to it at work :) Dunbar and I are good. I don't talk to him too often but in the few times that I have we've been very friendly and supportive of each other. I hope all is well for him. roundables I first met Ruthie and Paula back in August at a convention. I met Evan and Alex in Boston at College Fest in October. Met the entire Denver cast in October at a speaking engagement in Manhattan later that month and Ryan from Fresh Meat at an outing afterwards. Met Kenny one night in NJ while driving back from a convention in PA with Paula and Evan. Talked to Nehemiah and Johanna over the phone a few times. Exchanged messages with Zach from KW and talked to Lori from BTNY on the phone a few times at length. Met Tyler in NYC back in November and actually went to a private Kanye West/In Touch magazine party. Met Evelyn, Rachel and Veronica at that convention. Met Katie, Robyn, Miz and Coral (who were out with Paula, Ryan and more MTV production folks) at their post-Gauntlet special soiree in NYC last month. Coral was very nice to me but I did watch her put a guy in his place at the bar. Don't try to be cute with her, she won't have it haha. Everyone has been really nice... out of vets Ruthie, Paula, Lori, Ryan, Tyler, Brooke, Evan, Alex, Jenn, Johanna, Nehemiah and Coral have reached out and been especially sweet.

Thanks for answering about your family. I felt for them when all that BS went down with the girls. It was painful for me to watch , can't imagine what it was like for people who love you. Keep us updated about your music! I so hope you make it!

Welcome to the board Parisa. Have you been asked to do any challenges?
Thanks so much for replying back Parisa! :)
Hey Parisa! It's cool of you to stop in.....I'll spare you with further questioning (though thanks for responding!). I'd totally buy an EP of yours on iTunes! Let us know when its released =)
Thank you so much for your answers Parisa, I can't wait to hear some music from you! I am also very glad to hear that your family has become supportive of you musical goals. Also glad to hear that they see how well you carried yourself throughout that ordeal...I think it is great that in the long run you had a great experience after all the stupid catty girl drama. My favorite moment of seeing you cut loose was when Isaac returned and you were playing in the fountain, you were just so carefree and looked to genuinely be having a good time for one of the first times out there in Sydney. We love you here so don't stop hanging out occasionally and posting with us :)
