Gauntlet III: Episode 2
I just got done watching the sneak peak of Tyler and Janelle mixing it up. Should be a great episode, although being that I am a Lost junkie I'll be watching it on my DVR later in the evening as Lost trumps everything in my household! Looks like they are all good now. I am not sure if the G3 spoilers are accurate, but if they are I will be very happy tonight!

Is it wrong for me to say how much I wanna beat Janelle up? I can't stand her. She's mean as well.
Is it wrong for me to say how much I wanna beat Janelle up? I can't stand her. She's mean as well.
nope, not wrong at all.

umm, you no likey Angel either?? I saw one episode on RR:VR and I remember not liking her at all, but I can't remember why...anyone remember what was unlikeable about her?
umm, you no likey Angel either?? I saw one episode on RR:VR and I remember not liking her at all, but I can't remember why...anyone remember what was unlikeable about her?
Well....I guess I'm spoiled about tonight's ep. =/
anyways....Angel was bratty, annoying, sucked at missions, and got into a fight in the Pit with Kina.....kina yelled "don't you smack me in the face *****!" it was great haha
This episode is goooooooooooooooooood. QUESTION....are new threads on this forum kind of like "episode aired....all is fair" as far as spoilers? so when it ends, can i talk abotu spoilers right away?
also....these Bravery commercials are annoying also also....i bet we dont get to see a 2nd person go home....it'll be like "oh no! look at this tough gauntlet" and it'll end. at which case ill go seeking spoilers hhaha
since i have no idea how to do that spoiler thing bacchus always does....ill save more thoughts on this til tomorrow after you guys watch gnight guys
Just got done watching. Great episode! Rock, the general rule is not to talk about the episode in progress until it is over on these type of threads. All you need to do it put spoiler tags around everything else:

put what you want here

The reason I like that rule is I often keep an eye on the board but do not start watching until enough of it has aired so that I can skip through all of the commercials. ;) I was glad Angel went home. I really disliked her on RRVR (even though the fact that she was a thorn in the side of the "goodie goods" was somewhat redeeming.) However, she was weak and it was a good move by the rookies to put her in there. Of course the least athletic female is Brooke and I am sure she will be heading to the Gauntlet soon. On the male side I thought it was a horrible move to not send Ryan. When you are losing like the rookies are right now, you really need to get your weakest links out of the game and that is obviously Ryan. I don't like Tyler, so I am not sad to see him go, but I think he would have contributed to the team in the long run. Speaking of Tyler, I loooooooved how Johnny publicly spanked him when announcing the Veteran decision. A classic Challenge moment. I am guessing that the Veterans will be imploding soon (next week) and then things are going to get really good!

Watching the episode 2 now so please keep spoilers to a minimum.
Watching the episode 2 now so please keep spoilers to a minimum.
Well...now that the it has already aired and the title of this thread is: Gauntlet III: Episode 2 - I think people coming here would expect that this will divulge information about what happened on the show last night. ;) My only issue is talking about the episode previous to air or during air and on generic threads that do not specify the content until a "reasonable" amount of time has passed to allow everyone to catch up.

Oh I see. My bad. I just hate not having cable because as I mentioned before I watch the episodes of the last 2 RWs and the last 2 challenges (this one and Inferno 3) at the public library and their connection speed is terrible. In the future I will have cable and I can't wait.
Great episode. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if more people would have castigated Tyler for being such a whiny little cry baby when he got thrown into the Gauntlet. "I really need this money." *****, please. Who doesn't need that kind of money? I loved when Janelle told him "This isn't charity." And Johnny delivering the news was, indeed, classic. I think Ryan is a snake in the grass and the Rookies would have been better off to throw his butt into the Gauntlet. At least then Tyler would have gotten to be tied to a rope with him. Just not in the way I'm sure he'd been imagining. ;) Brooke. Must. Go. Soon. I don't care if she does bring the crazy. She's not fun to watch, and her eye makeup and sweaty chest scare me. Angel had an annoying "baby" voice that I'm sure would have had me hitting "mute" whenever she was on very quickly, so I'm glad to see her gone. Plus, I think Jillian is an asset to the Rookies, and they need her around. Anybody who uses the words, "I'm nimble" to describe themselves on one of these things should never go home early. Danny still needs to shut the heck up. Nobody cares what you think, man. Ditto, Tori. Ditto, Casey. I, too, can't wait until the Vets implode. Frankly I can't believe they've made it this long with so little drama.
MMD - I think you and I see eye to eye on just about everything! Crazy! My Doppleganger! I also harbor disdain for all of the aforementioned cast members. So then....who do you....like?
MMD - I think you and I see eye to eye on just about everything! Crazy! My Doppleganger! I also harbor disdain for all of the aforementioned cast members. So then....who do you....like?
Hee! I was afraid someone was going to ask me that. I don't mind Kenny when he keeps his mouth shut and just looks pretty. Once he starts flapping his gums I have to turn away. Ditto Evan. Minus the looking pretty part. I think Johnny Bananas is an alright guy, and my like for him grew exponentially with his treatment of Tyler this episode. Who is this Zach guy? I only caught bits of Key West. He's seems okay. My opinion of him may change over the course of this challenge. Or, if he does 20-zillion challenges in the next 3 years. Paula does a pretty good job of bringing the funny, and the nutty, and I like her. I like Johanna. I don't mind Melinda. By herself. I don't have a problem with Jillian, and I think she's got brains behind her looks. I like it when she does the PI's because of her aforementioned rockin' vocab. Frank can bring the d-baggery, but I don't seem to mind him. Most of the time. (However, as loath as I am to admit it, Tyler was probably right, and Frank and Jill are probably the most boring couple in America. LOL. Danny and Melinda are the most annoying and mind-scratchingly "whaaa-huh?" couple in America.) I'm pretty sure Robin is/has been a man. She may be nice IRL, but I have little use for her on these challenges anymore. Oops, I'm supposed to be focusing on who I like. This is very difficult for me. I like Coral when she's not being purposely abrasive. Sometimes I think she'd be better served to just let.stuff.go. Same with Katie. Brad. Brad. Brad. I want to like Brad. I do. He's an adorable little lugnut. But, then I went and read his blog over on MTV.com and his earnest desire to want to sell me life insurance was just embarrassing. That, and all of the spelling and grammatical errors. Dude, you're an Insurance Salesman. Have some pride for godsake! I like Beth because when I see her I can imagine myself on the challenge. You know. Because we're almost the same age. Seriously, unlike well, almost everybody, I don't have a problem with Beth. Maybe she should talk to Brad about some life insurance, though. Her provider has got to be ready to draw the line at covering her for these things at some point. Everyone else I fluctuate between loathing and 'eh *shrug*, depending on what sort of shena****ns they're pulling. How about you? Who do you like? :)
Okey dokey, just watched the episode online. I am curious as to what the team was thinking in throwing in Frank versus Ryan. Unless they just hated Tyler and definitely were trying to get someone in there who could beat him, it doesn't make much sense. Tyler is a bigger guy and in shape and a very limber gymnast as he has demonstrated with his high kicks, etc. What exactly does Ryan do? You would think they would try to keep as many guys with some kind of size at this point to have a prayer against CT, Evan and the like. Meh, oh well.

I don't know...Tyler was ok...but I dont think he was a great loss...its better to have Frank around....though Ryan will probably get his day soon, and Brooke too, though she cannot be saved next time around....so how can she NOT be going in!
The ratings for Episode 2 are in (Jan 30th). It's great news for challenge fans, with the show gaining ground to the #3 spot this week. No E1, Bravo, Vh-1 or other MTV show was in the top 10 last week.
Thanks for the info V1man. This is good news and the ratings are warranted. The series thus far has been quite compelling and the hour long episodes have left me wanting more. I think the show is currently hitting on all cylinders and hopefully MTV will take note of this "magic formula" and apply it to the next incarnation of the franchise.

Hi, I'm new...but I've been browsing for a while. I'll just hop right into it...I hate Janelle! UGH she drives me crazy. She's so "diva". She angered me when she was on real world and she angers me now. Have you ever seen the girl smile? Have you ever seen her mind her own business? She seems like she's all holier than thou. Now that I've got that out of the way...:D The only thing that bothered me about the whole John/Tyler fiasco was that John (or is it Jon) went on there saying about how when Tyler put him in the Inferno it was the "worst day of his life"...or something like that, and then makes it a POINT to put Tyler in there BECAUSE of it. But then when Tyler gets upset and calls him out on it, John's like "dude it's just a game. Stop whining, it was just a strategy". I just thought it was kind of amusing that John had all this pent up frustration and anger from a GAME that happened two years ago, but when he gets revenge that person just needs to "get over it". Not that I didn't think Tyler was being a little whimp...but still. :)
Tyler is a bigger guy and in shape and a very limber gymnast as he has demonstrated with his high kicks, etc. What exactly does Ryan do?
And don't forget that 26 mile (or something along those lines) marathon he did on his season...I would have expected a lot more athleticism to have shown from him.
