Big Brother 9: Superpass - The Feeds
I see an ad at the top of the site. It only has a per month fee. Does this mean the rumor of a 6 week show is true or will there be a super pass price again for fans to go with for a longer show? Any knowledge oh wise super sleuthing Bacchus?
I didn't click on the ad, but some subscriptions you can opt to may monthly or just pay for three months. Doing it monthly allows you to cancel if you decide you don't want it anymore, and the feeds will only last as long as your subscription. Where as if you had the 3 month...and cancel you'd still get the feeds for three months and no credit. I always get the three months. And never cancel...so I end up paying all year round every three months. (I don't recommend doing it. lol I just have this aversion to talking to people on the phone...I'd rather pay the 40 every three months) As to the rumor of only 6 weeks, I haven't heard. But I'll wait for Bacchus to confirm or deny. LOL

As they stated over at BuddyTV, "If the show is only receiving middling ratings once it begins, they may want to turn it into an abbreviated six week mini-season that ends in late March, and give fans a few months off before the real season begins in Summer." This makes sense to me. Also the public relations department is spinning that this season will be like no other. Not sure if that means they will have just have a shiny new AP like gimmick, or if that means the format will actually change for the winter edition in a way that will alter the duration of its run. I looked over the Real Website with a fine tooth comb, and did not see the standard Big Brother package deal - so the rumors might very well be true. I'll personally be grabbing the two week free trial and then go monthly. So if it is short season, It will cost me $15 (14 Free + 30 days) and a standard season $30 (14 Free + 30 days + 30 days.)
So let's say it is a shortened season then. How do they do that? Is it a smaller cast? Is it a normal size cast but lots of double eliminations, on the spot eliminations, two a week eliminations, ...? THey are doing BB after dark again, so the thought of a shortened season escapes me financially for them. Playing it by ear of course does make the most sense and while they have hyped the secrets aspect, I've barely seen anything on feeds and usually by now there is info. out there. By your logic, you won't pay anymore than normal for the season, even if that makes no sense to me, lol.

It would not be that hard to seamlessly build that into the show. Actually it might add excitement! As far as BBAD, I don't think it is a huge financial windfall for CBS. More like a space filler for Showtime, on the cheap. Let me try this again: Short Season = 42 days. So one month paid (30 days) + the 14 days free would cover it. $15 bucks for the season if you play your cards right. Full Season = 74 (+-) days . So two months (60 days)+ 14 day free trial would cover it. $30 bucks for the season. The key is to use the 14 day trial for the first two weeks. That saves you from having to buy an extra full month. ;)
