Didn't they say the same thing on Free Agents? Then look at what happened.
He was eliminated TWICE last season and people still thought he was in the finals until a certain point where the final 3 was discovered. We've been wrong about him losing a final, we've been wrong about him winning one. But usually we assume that he's a lock for the final and he's a lock for the win. So anything can happen with him at this point.

That's a total of 10 people, they could easily throw a twist of making the game of everyone by themselves after the 9th elimination.
