Reflecting on the astonishing elimination, Johnny notes, "I had the carpet pulled out from under me. But if you feed a banana to a gorilla, you shouldn't be that surprised by the results." Back to take another stab at the win, Johnny hopes to make the best of his rival partner. We'll see if this loud mouth, two-time Challenge winner can capture a third victory.
I actually liked him on Cutthroat, im sure that'll change this time around.
Looks like he got rid of the hideous hair plugs.
He looks fake in this pic...don't really care for this kid. Not at all.
It'll be interesting to see how things between him, Evan, and Kenny go down since they're not on a team together.
I can totally see Johnny and Tyler doing very well, they're great competitors.
I'm definitely rooting for Johnny for this challenge...mainly because I like Tyler a **** of a lot more than I like Wes, so I can't root for Kenny...and I think he got a raw deal on Cutthroat.
I think Johnny and Dunbar would have been an entertaining team.
Booooo hissssss!
I think Johnny and Dunbar would have been an entertaining team.
I agree, I would like to see them paired as well. In one of Derrick's more recent podcast, he mentioned something about Dunbar not receiving his winnings from Cutthroat because of something relating to his background in ****. Not sure what he was talking about, but if this was truly the case, I doubt Dunbar would be willing to come back for another challenge.

Ugh, hate to say it but goodness he is H-O-T. I'm glad to see him and Kenny back, actually. I find them hilarious and they bring the pretty, but YES I will agree they can also be dumb *******s. Have to root more for Bananas though, because I like Tyler and Wes is probably one of my least favorite BMPers ever. Not even Mr. Beautiful can bring me over to the pasty side. I also think Johnny is very underrated as a performer because the focus is always on his evil and brilliant game, and because CT destroyed him in Cutthroat. To be fair, CT would've worn anyone there like a limp lil backpack. He was in mad shape and ready to kill.
I also think Johnny is very underrated as a performer because the focus is always on his evil and brilliant game, and because CT destroyed him in Cutthroat.
Johnny's a decent competitor, and can definitely hold his own, but what else has he done? He's won one elimination against another average competitor (who should be a better competitor as well). To be called a "good" competitor, you should be able to hold your own in an elimination, not simply avoid them as best as possible. Yeah that's a good social game, but a good competitor can't just be a social master. Johnny and Kenny are perfect examples. And because Evan always gets bunched with them, he's won eliminations, as well as a good amount of challenges (and an individual one at that), so Evan should just break away from JEK.
I wonder who he'll hook up with, if nobody, then I won't like him on this challenge.
I wonder who he'll hook up with, if nobody, then I won't like him on this challenge.
I was under the impression that he had a girlfriend. Or maybe I'm getting him confused with Kenny.
i was under the impression that he had a girlfriend. or maybe i'm getting him confused with kenny.
I'm sure they all do, whether unbeknownst to them or not.
I wonder who he'll hook up with, if nobody, then I won't like him on this challenge.
If I got a call to do the challenge i would honestly say yes just to get the chance to hook up with him. lol I'd say the same for wes.
If I got a call to do the challenge i would honestly say yes just to get the chance to hook up with him. lol I'd say the same for wes.
Really? Even though he might call you a dumb ***** 5 seconds later? And every one hooks up with Wes, for being made fun of by Kenny so much he still seems to get more women on these things. I actually think Wes is good looking, better looking than Johnny for sure.

And he was close to Camilla, who he defended on Cutthroat; I actually don't remember him saying anything bad about her either. He just doesn't like many people haha Original: When he likes someone enough to hook up with them on tv, he treats them well; look at Casey and Camilla
I don't think he ever "hooked up" with Camilla. I think it was more of an Ibis-Johnny friendship, than a Casey-Johnny hook up.
I doubt he would. When he likes someone enough to hook up with them on tv, he treats them well; look at Casey and Camilla. He just doesn't like many people haha
Nah, I think he's an ******* to anyone who stands up to him, pretty much everyone who isn't a yes man, and we all know what a good strong competitor and strategic player Casey is. Camilla is just plain weird for liking Johnny and most people are flattered when people say they like them, besides for Kenny.
Avoiding eliminations is part of the game. Why would you consider elimination records the pure indication of game skill. In fact i consider it bad to constantly be put into eliminations, it means your doing something wrong. Also its not like Johnny has been losing to guys like Davis, Danny, Derrick (Viewers revenge) and ryan (Fm), hes lost to Tyler twice and evan, two reaallllly good competitors and guys with at least 20 lbs on him. Johnny plays the game really well, and his two wins are a indication of this, he also usually does really well in the challenges
Johnny's a decent competitor, and can definitely hold his own, but what else has he done? If in fact he did think that Johnny and Kenny were week competitors, why not keep them around? It's better than having CT and Darrell standing next to you going in to a final. Given what they've done in previous challenges, it seems like they're doing something right.

I think the way he got screwed over on G3 changed him and made him realize he has to play a dirty game to get far.
Just saw some funny tweets to johnny:
*** his last name is not bananas?!?! D:
wtf his last name is not bananas?!?! D:
However, his nickname is Johnny Bananas.

Yeah that's a good social game, but a good competitor can't just be a social master.
I get what you're saying, but IMO to be called a "good" competitor, you need to be able to win. Johnny has two wins under his belt. He sounds like a very "good" competitor to me. For the Challenge format, being a social master and smart strategist gets you farther than just being a beast. For example, CT has been a great performer but an awful competitor. He has DQ'd himself out of these games by allowing his ego and anger issues get in the way of better game play. Winning eliminations and intimidating other players doesn't count for much when you have nothing to show for it at the end of the day. Until they change the Challenge format, Johnny and his alliance mates will continue to be the best players in this game, like it or hate it. They completely understand that being a good competitor in this game has less to do with winning eliminations and being a "beast". They know success has more to do with avoiding eliminations through via strategy, while being physically and athletically strong enough to be an asset to your team and make it to the final.
...Or Just being friends with 99% of the cast.
TBH that sounds harder than winning a bunch of eliminations.
