Dan Walsh Interview (Cut Throat)
Dan Walsh (RR: Viewers Revenge) The Island and Cutthroat First of Dan we really appreciate you taking time to talk to us. We are very glad to hear that you are doing better and glad you have changed up your lifestyle. How has that road been? Did your actions on The Island have anything to do with you making that decision?. DW: Being sober is amazing because for the first time in a long time i am fully aware of what goes on everyday in my life. You lose a lot of good times to being drunk or even if you have them your not all there to fully enjoy it. The Island was definetly an eye-opening expierence but unfortunatley it took some more mistakes in my personal life in order to finally stop it. 2. On The Island we got see a side(edit) of Johnny and Kenny that was really lets say "mean" to many of the castmembers. Your personal opinion are Kenny and Johnny really the way they are edit on our screens or is there another side to them the cameras dont show us?. DW: Johnny and Kenny get really bad edits all the time and I can't say that I agree with all of there methods but i can say that most of the time those guys are just kidding around and people go nuts for it. I personally loved being around them two on the island. They made me laugh as much as my drunk dumb *** made them laugh!lol. 3. Would you say the Cutthroat teams are balanced well?. DW: I think that the cutthroat teams are very balanced because what some teams have in size they lack mentally and vise versa. Grey may not be the biggest team but we are by far the smartest and most agile team. 4. Whats your take on the new kids the FM2 Cast? DW: I get along with all the fm2 kids that were on cutthroat. I think Brandon and Luke are very chill guys and they are cool to play a game of pool with. Vinny cracks me up! as far as the girls go they are all a little out there but they are fun to hangout with. 5. What was your reaction when you saw Camila on this challenge? DW: I had no idea where Camilia came from and at first i couldn't stand her, she was intrusive and really got on my nerves but eventually she won me over with her incredible sweet side. 6. Do you and Tori still keep in touch?was it awkward for you to do one of these shows with her again now that shes married. DW: Tori and I had kept in touch over the years and i was so excited to see her when we got to show. Brad is an awesome guy and is so good to her so it was not awkward at all. They are perfect together and I wish them the best of luck. 7. Besides Reality T.V what else you got going on? we have heard alot your wrestling these days how's that going?. DW: I have been wrestling since i was 18 years old and i have been doing stand-up comedy for the last 6 years so other than that i go to school. I know it sounds like a wierd mix but i love it!lol. 8. Your thoughts on the first episode of Cuthroat anything you want to comment on? DW: I loved the first episode! I think it definetly caught the intensity that was drowning everyone there. I remember every moment of my time in the Czech and if you liked the first episode then hold on cause it's gonna get so much crazier!. 9.Thank you for doing Cutthroat will we ever see you on another one again?. DW: I had a great time doing Cutthroat and if the timing is right and it agrees with all the other elements in my life then I would love to do another challenge!. Excuses some of the grammer issues on this interview guys as I got it done right before work I promise the next two will be done properly and I wanted to share with you guys asap. C.T and Abram have agreed to do interviews as well Abe is getting interviewed tomorrow with C.T following later this week. If you have any questions for either them you still have time PM me!!. Dont post it on this thread so it wont clog up poor mods:p.

Thanks!! he really is such a nice guy dosent look like though hes much of a Twitter person yet:p lol.
I thought Dan was obnoxious on the Island and didn't really have that great impression of him. Since he is in recovery, he seems much more of an enjoyable and likable guy! Good for him for getting sober. Thanks for doing the interview with him :)
Good interview :) I was never a huge fan, but he is quickly changing my opinion!
I love Dan! He seems very fun and hilarious guy.

Well he just started out so hopefully it pics up like Theo's career has and heres a vid of Dan doing a interview for his wrestling career. YouTube - LWA Backstage: Dan Walsh Part 2
I can definitely see Dan doing comedy. He seems like he could be a very funny guy.
I would like to hear more about the Marine Corps/Afghanistan part of his story. Do not recall ever hearing much about that, but I pretty much gave up on the Island once the bees nest incident was shown. The video is funny even if is about wrestling.
What is it with Real World/Road Rules/FM alumns and wrestling we already have 4, who seem to either dabble or wanna dabble in it. Miz of course, Joey from RW:Hollywood, Carley from FM2 and now Dan. His promo was eh for wrestling but his Walken impression was pretty damn good. The one who seems to be perfect for pro-wrestling and has shown some interest in it but doesn't seem to take the leap is Kenny.

@SeanDaniel he will be getting interviewed again halfway through the season so he could his side of the story on some major drama on Cutthroat. A part two sort of thing but ill make sure to ask him about his time in the military. @Entropy he said hes been wrestling since 18 way before reality television so hes had interest in it before.
Oh I know he did, I'm not saying it cause of reality tv that they are doing..its just weird that so many of them are into it.
I like this guy!

Same here hope he goes downs Miz path. If he gets picked up by WWE though we can kiss him goodbye lol.
I am somewhat confused though. I thought he had been in Afghanistan but in last night's episode he mentioned Iraq.

Maybe he did two tours? different camps?. I do know sometimes they get moved around while over there. Maybe his second tour was to Iraq?.
Maybe he did two tours? different camps?. I do know sometimes they get moved around while over there. Maybe his second tour was to Iraq?.
Sure. I know people who have been to both but usually there is a reenlistment in between. I guess I assumed he was only in for 1 hitch which would make it a little less likely he did both and has been out long enough for two challenges and to start a wrestling career. He is what, maybe 26-27?

As well maybe the first few months of his first tour was in Afghanistan then his unit maybe got re-assigned somewhere else. Ill make sure to ask him in part 2 of the interview though ill make sure to add questions about his deployment.
Ask him what his pro wrestling aspirations are :)

Went to Iraq then was supposed to get out but had to go back for another tour.
He is 27.
I didn't know he was that old. And trust me, I'm not saying it's an old age, but I'm a bit surprised because his RR season wasn't that long ago. Yeah, he was within their age limits, though. He actually does seem a bit older than some of the other cast members on challenges now.
I hope he becomes a Challenge regular, one of the few new guys who is actually entertaining.
I had actually forgotten that he started off on RR: Viewer's Revenge as one of the road crew competitors which make this his 3rd time competing on MTV. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_Rules_2007:_Viewers%27_Revenge
He could have been stop-lossed. That happened to my friend. Went to Iraq then was supposed to get out but had to go back for another tour.
Based on the Wiki page about RR Viewers Revenge he was a reservist who went to Iraq and got out in 2004 so that must have been his only deployment as it is unlikely that a reservist would have done two full deployments in three or 4 years of service. Not sure where the Afghanistan confusion arose.
