Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains - Russell Hantz
Russell Hantz Age: 36 From: Dayton, TX Previous Season: Survivor Samoa Tribe: Villains This married father of four is visually memorable. Standing tall at only 5’6”, he is built like a brick house with a bald head. At 200 pounds of pure muscle, Russell’s solid figure and sharp tongue has helped him carve out a multi-million dollar business in the oil-tanking industry. A huge Survivor fan, this self-made man built his business from scratch by working hard, speaking his mind and stepping on anyone who got in his way. We last saw Russell on Survivor: Samoa practically running the game. When anyone got in Russell's way, they were voted off. Russell also found three hidden immunity idols. Russell made it to the final three, and ended up in second place. Will Russell be able to make it to the end on Heroes vs. Villains? Or will the All-Stars see him as a threat and vote him out of the game?
Oh snap! The puppetmaster is back!
Pure muscle. Lol, yeah,right.
Oh Russ...sweet hat dude.
I can't wait to see his torch snuffed. What a cocky *********.
Oh Russ...sweet hat dude.
Is it wrong that I find him absolutely sexy? I think his arrogance adds to his sex appeal.
From cbs.com: Tribe: Villains Hometown: Dayton, Texas Current Residence: Dayton, Texas Personal Claim To Fame: “Starting my oil tankering service.” Inspiration in Life: “My grandfather.” Previous Finishes: Samoa: Runner-up Favorite Past Moment: “Blindsiding Kelly.” Previous Survivor He Respects Most: “I don’t respect any of them.” Previous Survivor He Respects Least: “I don’t respect any of them.” Why Did He Come Back? : “Because I have to put these kids in their place. I’m not done playing just yet!”
I started out HATING Russell. I mean, really HATING. But what can I say, he "converted" me. Going into this season, he is my favorite, and the one im rooting for the most. Cirie is second.
Boo, my favorite part of the reunion was seeing his eyes well up because he lost to Nat!
I think he has the biggest advantage in this season. Nobody was able to see how he played his season. All they know is that is on the Villains team.
Russell's EW writeup: 'Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains': Why Russell will not win
Russell actually looks, dare I say it... hot in his picture with the hat.
Just a random note....on Jerri's facebook page, Laura was explaining to some fans as to why Russell lost in Samoa, and she stated that Russell knew he was going to be on season 20 before the merge even took place in season 19.
I think he has the biggest advantage in this season. Nobody was able to see how he played his season. All they know is that is on the Villains team.
See I have to disagree. If I was one of the othe 19 I would think to myself why is this guy over certian people we know are evil. He would be my first target because of that very reason.

He would be my first target because of that very reason.
People like Sandra, Danielle, and somewhat Coach are not really "villains" though. He definitely could have pleaded ignorance as to why he would be classified as such, and made it believeable. Though yea, he probably does have to be a huge character to come back 10 days after he got home from season 19.
Just as I expected...Russell's countdown was on tonight.
so this season was being filmed as Samoa was airing?
It began filming before Samoa even aired. Day 1 was August 9, day 39 was September 16, the day before Samoa premiered in the US.

I have been brushing up on the history of Survivor through TV specials, youtube, etc..... and this looks like one for the record books. Although, I wish the original survivor was there that would have been great TV Russell vs. Rich.
Over at sucks they've said that Russell was asked if he was interested in playing a 3rd time. I think we might see a Russell, Rich showdown in the future.

I don't think Russell's manipulative ways are going to work. and I'm curious if he's going to try to find hidden immunity idol's here as well.
If the producers want Russel to find an idol, Russel will find an idol...

I am loving the fact that nobody has seen his evil ways prior to the show. Eventhough, they must know he has a shady reputation if he is on the Villain's tribe after all.
I am loving the fact that nobody has seen his evil ways prior to the show.
I don't think Russell's manipulative ways are going to work. and I'm curious if he's going to try to find hidden immunity idol's here as well.
Russell probably buried his immunity idol from season 19 that he decided not to play. Then he will dig it up 3 weeks later when he returns for season 20 and the producers will let him keep/use it.

I would love him to came back for a third time because he would be first out:D The look on his face when Richard gets the pleasure of voting him out would be great!
