Grey's Ep: 519: Elevator Love Letter
Tonight!
Tensions are running high at Seattle Grace with all eyes on Derek as he is set to perform his first surgery after his breakdown; attention is also set on Izzie, whose medical condition requires her to undergo a difficult surgery; and Owen has another PTSD episode that injures Cristina and traumatizes both of them, throwing the future of their relationship into question.
Wow, I'm starting to get EXCITED to see this show every week like back in the good old days. And for those of you that have been reading spoilers....tonight is rumored to be a very special night!!
Well, I am going to agree that I have been actually looking forward to Grey's, but not the Mer/Der storyline. Maybe if Meredith puffed the magic dragon she would loosen up a bit ;)
she is lying LM...you's have to be high to like MerDer
I couldn't agree more!:smoke:

Oh now I'm outnumbered even more?! I see how it is..... (Sheesh whatever happened to Oregon solidarity?!) ;)
Oh now I'm outnumbered even more?! I see how it is..... (Sheesh whatever happened to Oregon solidarity?!) ;)
I said I am looking forward to Grey's, but now it is because of little Grey and Sloan. I loved this show when it first came out, it was new and exciting. There has just been so many odd little things with Meredith, don't get me wrong thats what makes her Meredith, but it seems so long and drawn out. How long can she have commitment issues? Whatever happened to her dad after he went all slap happy on her? How can you just let yourself drown? I think when she slept with George, I had enough. It was so awkward and ehhhh. That's all OPD, I just have no love for Meredith. I am anxious to see Christina come back with her edgier side, heck maybe they could actually throw some medical stories in there too?
Oh now I'm outnumbered even more?! I see how it is..... (Sheesh whatever happened to Oregon solidarity?!) ;)
But at least we still watch and discuss it :) I will be tuning in about 20 minutes late to leave plenty of fast forward room though...
I think when she slept with George, I had enough. It was so awkward and ehhhh.
I agree. I liked her in the very beginning but after the George fiasco, her stock started falling with me. Then I saw that punk'd episode....

Okay, I couldn't get it, but look at this...
Ellen Pompeo, you've been punk'd!!! The star of Grey's Anatomy portrays a sweet girl that everybody loves, but I never knew how good an actress she was until I saw her tear up a waitress on the show. The premise of the joke was simple. Ellen and her fiancé, Chris, would have lunch at a restaurant and the waitress would flirt with him. Ellen would get jealous and the laughs would ensue. It all seemed innocent enough, but it was the strangest, not even funny bit I've ever seen on that show. And it was only made stranger with her Boston accent. Below is a rough transcript of some of the crazier parts, you really need to see the show to understand however: (Chris and Ellen arrive and order. During the order, the waitress calls him "honey" which really seemed to bother Ellen. When the waitress leaves the following happens) (Ellen at this point looks really annoyed and Chris begins laughing) Ellen: "Honey", is she kidding? I think she's got too much makeup on and it is affecting her thought process. Chris: Baby, I think you need to relax, okay? She's just trying to get her tip, probably. Ellen: I have a tip for her, less foundation. Otherwise, there is a Greyhound bus leaving for vegas at 4:30. She could probably catch it if she hurries. (The waitress returns and brings the food. She compliments Chris on his hat and asks about it. The waitress then says, "That is a ****** hat. It looks great on you by the way." She then leaves and the following happens. ) Ellen: I... I don't understand. I really honestly don't understand it. Chris: Don't understand what? Ellen: I don't understand why she would think it is okay to keep talking to you like this. Chris: What do you want me to say? "Don't talk to me."? I haven't said a word. Ellen: I hope you are spending every waking minute thinking about how you are going to make this up to me. Because right now, you are in so deep. Chris: Wow, I really [bleeped] it up today, huh? Ellen: Yeah, you really did Chris: Now you want to ignore me. Ellen: I just can't believe this broad is sweating you like this at this table. Like, it is hysterical to me. Like, is she not expecting me to stab her? Because I could. (starts laughing) The blood can trickle down and she can lay there and the Los Feliz police can come and take her away. And the foundation can all smudge off cause the blood is dripping down. Chris: Come on baby, stop it. Ellen: Her eye makeup will be smeared all over the place. There will be lipstick all over the sidewalk where her face was pressed against the cement. Chris: You are really starting to lose it. Stop it. (The waitress returns to collect the food. Ellen comments about how the food wasn't good and the waitress leaves to get the check. She hands the check to Chris and says, "Here you go sweetie") Ellen: It is almost like she is pushing me. I am trying so hard not to make her run away and cry. Chris: Right, Maybe she needs attention. You know, that is why she is doing it. Ellen: Oh, she'll get attention. She'll get four prongs, right in her clavicle. (The waitress returns to with a free piece of cake for the $200 tip that the fiancé gave. Ellen flips out a bit and the bit is finally over.)
(I got it from here) She IS from BOSTON after all, LOL.
trying from my phone now
It is a windows media file so you'll have to watch it on your pc when you get a chance.
She IS from BOSTON after all, LOL.
Ut-Oh....you better step back with the Boston hate! :D

I'd probably threaten to stab a ***** too for coming on to MY man! :D
Another great episode. It feels like the show is back in a groove after that nasty sidetrack with Denny. I think the reason I am enjoying Grey's so much of late is because of the new found focus on Alex. He is really getting a lot of air time and I love how his character has grown. It was a happy, but sad moment at the end when he held Izzy's hand with tears running down his face. Very powerful and the kind of scene that Grey's seems to be returning to after a long hiatus. The Christina/Dr ****** side story is interesting and I am glad that he is seeking help for his PTSD. They make a strange couple, but I could see it working in the long run if he can get through this hard time. I think Kevin McKidd has brought a lot to the cast and hope that he stays on for the duration. I still think Sondra is wasting Callie as a character. I wish she could return in a form that closer fit what she was when she joined the cast. I know I have harped on this lesbian arc many times in the past, but it just doesn't feel right. It is almost as bad as Izzy/George when putting Callie with another woman. If Sondra wants a lesbian couple on the show, she should reach outside the current cast to find the characters as the preconceptions of those already there are firmly entrenched and forcing the issue feels at best, awkward. Sloan and Little Grey are great together. Lots of chemistry. They are a perfect TV couple. While the cradle robbing was a bit weird at first, I now fully embrace them and love the new Sloan. I want to add how much I enjoy Bailey. I don't think I appreciated her as much as I should have in the past, but Chandra Wilson is amazing and I totally recognize why she has received such accolades for her portrayal. Oh...I almost forgot, the MerDer portion of the show was short and sweet. Just the way I like it! p.s. I never noticed this before, but when I read MerDer - it comes out MURDER. How coincidental is that!?
Ut-Oh....you better step back with the Boston hate! :D
No, there is no Boston hate here, LOL...I said that because of the BGC girl Whitney..."I'm from Boston I'll kick your ***" LOL
p.s. I never noticed this before, but when I read MerDer - it comes out MURDER. How coincidental is that!?
****...all late B...I thought that was why we called them that in the first place...because them on screen together causes me to want to commit murder. :)

I love that he did the voice-overs and his scene in the on-call room when he was talking to Meredith....shoot someone please give this guy an Emmy. It was so touching, perfectly executed, and most of all, believable. I'm so glad they (the writers) are finally letting him shine again.
I want to add how much I enjoy Bailey.
I've always really loved Chandra Wilson on this show. She's kind of been the bright spot for me. She definately deserves her accolades. Her Emmy speech from (2007? Maybe?) was great! Very talented, she never disappoints me.
Oh...I almost forgot, the MerDer portion of the show was short and sweet. Just the way I like it!
*ahem* HERE IS THE PART WHERE I PRETEND WHERE I'M IN A FORUM WHERE YOU GUYS CARE.... I looooooved the elevator proposal! I don't care what you guys say. It was perfect, for them. I mean, by the time she said yes, I realized I was staring at my tv grinning from ear to ear. It was really sweet and great. I'm happy this finally happened. So cute that he had xrays from all of their major surgeries together. I mean, what better way to show her that they make a great team? **heehee I'm doing a happy dance** Side Note: The scene where they showed the surgery board with Izzie's name on it....not in real life. I know I know, it was for dramatic effect, but as the person who actually writes our surgery board every day, I can tell you that names are NEVER on there. It's against HIPPA and JCAHO protocol. And that's your lesson of the day :)

I thought it was a nice scene dialog wise but I didn't buy the elevator decorations...sorry OPD. (I still love ya though)
I thought it was a nice scene dialog wise but I didn't buy the elevator decorations...sorry OPD. (I still love ya though)
I thought it was short. Stupid, but thankfully short. :D On a side note, I think Ellen Pompeo's agent should try to get her to spiel Proactive. She'd get paid and take care of her problem in one mutually beneficial swoop. I think it would be a great career move on her part in more ways than one (i.e. the caked makeup does nothing for cover in HD.)

Finally got around to watching this last night. I thought the proposal was sweet, although I knew it was going to happen there. I think Justin Chambers is a great actor (and HOT) and I like how he's been getting more screen time recently. I don't like whoever Izzie's oncologist is (what a b-word!) and was glad Derek put her in her place in the middle of surgery (which I thought was extremely unprofessional) Should be interesting to see how things go with Alex and Iz over the next couple of weeks.
