Jordin Sparks first album released today
American Idol 6 winner Jordin Sparks' self-titled debut album is in stores today. It includes the terribly awful ballad "This Is My Now" that won the show's first songwriting contest, and 12 other songs. One of those, "Freeze," was co-written by Jordin; another track, "Worth the Wait," is about virginity... Do you usually run to the store to buy an AI winner album???? I've never bought a winner album, AI or CI. I've bought 2nd runner up and a 1st runner up though for CI. The winner's first album usually sucks...although they are looking for the next "American Idol" or "Canadian Idol" the record label hasn't got the first clue of how to break into the pop market. So I avoid the debut album. There aren't many Kelly Clarkson's or Carrie Underwood's out there that their talent is so powerful that it defies the box that the label wants to mold you into. I don't even remember who Jordin is.

I guess I can be totally honest here: The last album I bought was Morrissey Maladjusted in 1997. I really had to think about it, but I remember paying the $15 bucks for it at a concert. The internets had already tainted me by then...

iTunes baby! ;) I'm so lawful it's pathetic. $9.99 is still cheaper than WalMart's 15.97 or whatever it is. I don't jaywalk either, in case you were wondering. :D And I wear a seatbelt in the backseat of the car even when I don't have to by law. Bacc, you pulled quite a feat getting me those Hero discs Anyway, I'm not sure if I will watch AI this year. Depends what's else is on. Probably nothing at this rate. :(
