Las Vegas: Ep. 509 - My Uncle's a Gas
It seems I have lost a few forums I have started ;) I guess I can't expect to keep them all alive, can I? Anyhoo, I don't read much on Entertainment news, but this episode was a bit unexpected with the cliff hanger ending, I'm not even sure if it is returning next week for the second part or if I am to wait until the strike is over to see what happens to my beloved Danny. :( (I guess I'll find out when I update the calendar for next week) I was really disappointed that Coop fired Sam. If there was ever an unjust firing that was it. He asked her to take care of his friend (do his bidding...keep him happy) knowing full well that Sam does not take **** if there is no money involved. And she took the **** from this ******* friend for a lot longer than I think anyone would have thought. When she finally had enough she dumped a chocolate shake on the jerk's head. And she gets fired. That's ****. I'm hoping that Coop is working some kind of mysterious plan and this is just part of the ruse. This show is really not the same without James Caan. :( Danny is just not president of operations ... not near scary enough and he likes being on the front lines too much.
It seems I have lost a few forums I have started I guess I can't expect to keep them all alive, can I?
I did a little spring cleaning, except in the fall. I figure that if a forum did not get a post in 2 months and it is currently on the air, it probably doesn't warrent its own home for the time being. ;) I always see the commericals for Las Vegas and they look flashy, but I assumed it was another CSI clone so I did not give it a shot. I kind of wish I did now, being how dead fridays has become TV wise for me.
It is pretty flashy, it takes place in Las Vegas in a major casino, so that's a given I'd think. But nothing like CSI. There is a certain amount of campiness to it, but that just adds lightness to the action sequences. The main action of the show is usually catching a cheater in the casino whether it's using high tech devices or just your brainiack card counter. Some times there are outside forces to contend with. Mob or Black op government stuff. (the former president Ed and Danny were involved in that area) I was miffed when they made the move to Friday nights, as we all know it's a certain death for a show. But currently there is nothing on Friday nights to compete with. Granted CBS's Numbers is the ratings winner, but Las Vegas holds its own when compared to other NBC shows when it comes to ratings.
