The Real World: Portland - Nia Moore

My take on the Nia/Johnny/Averey situation (and I don't particularly like ANY of them...the whole Portland cast did nothing for me so I don't have any bias) is that at points they all got what was coming to them but at certain points Nia took it way too far. Let's look at the timeline of events. Nia doesn't want to clean up Daisy's **** so Javerey asks her to stay away from the dog - I was on board with Nia here. I think she should've cleaned up the **** she stepped in, but it's not her responsibility to clean up after someone else's dog that they brought into the house on the regular. HOWEVER, I do think it is Averey's right to then ask Nia to stay away from the dog...it is Averey's dog after all. Fight Part 1 - Johnny throwing the stuff on her wasn't the first move. Nia kept turning the lights on them while they were sleeping and then made a show of calling and kissing Daisy when she was asked not to. Incredibly immature and Johnny responded by being equally immature and throws a tissue on her, which is pretty gross. She throws it back and he sloshes some blue stuff on her. At this point she had right to be mad. I would've been ok with her spilling something on him or even slapping him. He had that coming. HOWEVER grabbing him by the shirt and, after he covers up, hitting him in the head with a fist 12 times was NOT a reciprocal response. If you actually believe that that was appropriate retaliation you are either A) very young or B) have no idea of how the adult world works. She saw he wasn't going to touch her so she kept going because she knew nothing would happen to her. Fight Part 2 - The fight ends, Johnny walks away and she grabs a blow dryer, wraps it up and waits for him. Again this is a person who was unwilling to put his hands on her in Part 1 and then was the person who tapped out and walked away. Nia was 1000% wrong here and to be honest Averey handled it appropriately. She waited until something was being done and stepped in. At this point when they were both locked up they were fair game with each other. They also both got hits in so anyone who says that one clearly won is just biased. I'm even down with Nia throwing the drink at her after they broke up because they were still circling and I don't think that was a big deal. However, ONCE AGAIN, when the fight is over she approaches Averey from an angle where she can't see and ***** back 90 degrees and hits her with a closed fist in the back of the head. This was a coward move. Hitting an unsuspecting person full force from behind is one of the biggest ***** moves that exists and if she hangs her hat on that shot she's an idiot. In conclusion: All parties were at fault, but Nia, because she didn't want to be made to look like a punk on TV took things way too far on people she knew wouldn't do anything back to her. It's no way to solve your problems and the people suggesting that they would do the same are setting themselves up for a serious reality check should they ever emulate her behavior.

I love Nia & it seems like most of twitter does as well. Some of you guys take this stuff too seriously. Coral & Jaz BOTH started with Nia. Coral has said MUCH worse stuff about people than saying that baby is the spawn of satan. You guys are just looking for reasons to hate Nia.

It's not that I take it seriously, I'm just shocked people would beat another person up with a weapon because of a drink/tissue. I don't hate Nia because that would mean I care about her.

Everyone thinks and react differently so you can't expect everyone to walk off like you if they get a drink thrown in their face.
I'm still having a hard time trying to figure out why Johnny thought their wouldn't be consequences for putting his snotty tissue on her and throwing a drink in her face. If I did that I would definitely be ready to take hit.
Okay I don't know why ya'll makin crap up now. Go rewatch the fight in SLOMO. Avery got 1 small hit on her nose and missed every single punch in all the rounds. The "skinny little white girl" didn't touch Nia... don't even be biased cause you hate Nia.
That's interesting because I'm 100% positive that there was blood on Nia's nose. Where was the blood on Averey? Nowhere.
Lol you say that as if I have no life. I'm sorry that I was watching an interview about Nia saying that Avery didn't win and to watch it on youtube in slomo and that's what I did. It took 2 minutes of my life. So go ahead got an argument or you have no case because you watched it and saw your little white girl Avery didn't win?
So you're telling me that Nia said she beat Averey? Ya don't say!? Well, that's it folks, looks like we have a winner.
Right. If you don't got facts or proof don't wast eyour time arguing your stupid opinion because you think you're right. "oh my god I follow all the laws of the united states i'm perfect! Nia should go to prison for hitting a man who harassed her~!!11 she's evil1!" It's really sad people who are apparently "grown ups" on here think like that. Anyways, i've argued this months ago and I am not wasting my time arguing with a bunch of Nia haters who can't get over the fact that they can't stand her and don't even look see the truth cause they're too far up Avery's butt. Have fun to anyone else trying to have a legitimate argument with a bunch of smart alecs who think they know everything. lol
I never stated once she should go to prison, don't know where you're getting that from. This is a staged show, obviously they're not going to get the cops involved. And do you want to know why you think it's sad we think like that, because you're just not mature enough to comprehend any of this. You keep bringing up the fact that I hate Nia. I would have to care about Nia to hate her. I don't give a damn about anybody on the Portland season, I barely watched it. Now I'll wait for you to take more stuff out of context.

Johnny thinks he's tough throwing a dirty tissue and splashing a drink at a girl and Nia thinks she's cool beating up a defenseless man with a blowdryer. I feel like Nia was just trying to create ratings.

Hahahaha I thought people said in another thread they don't care about Nia, yet this thread gets resurrected for the second time with 10 new pages in 12 hours. Nia was in the wrong when she went to attack with a weapon, but Johnny had the first part coming. He disrespectful female the entire season (Avery, Jess, Ana) and he took it to another level when he put his used tissue on Nia's lap and tossed a drink on her. There's no rule that says she MUST respond by ignoring it or just slapping him, considering he took it to another level. People forget how terrible Johnny could be it seems.

Maybe even a couple times. But the fact that she held him by the shirt and hit him in the head with a closed fist a dozen times was too much. Especially upon knowing that he wasn't trying to fight back.
Averey won that fight simply because she picked Nia's weave off the floor and went "Boop!" I don't care how many punches she got on her, even though I'm pretty sure she got a few. Not to mention, Nia towers over Averey so the fact that she even put up a fight is pretty impressive.
I don't think Averey won the fight. She got Nia in the beginning because she snatched her from behind. When Nia turned around she was pulling Averey across the room by her hair and kneeing her in the face. Nia only got Averey in round two though because she attacked when she wasn't looking. At the end of the day Nia walked away with a scratch on her nose while Averey left with a huge knot on her head. Good fight though!
Praise Jesus for finally seeing the light. lol. I kid, I kid.

That might work with white girls but a sister don't play. lol.
She's disgusting because she defended herself?
Thank you! They are just trying to be smartasses for no apparent reason. If they were in Nia's shoes let's see what they would've done. They would've been soft and punk-ish if they let it slide for the "experience". This is like Gladys and ABe all over again.
Can't believe anyone would actually side with Nia.
Let me just end this conversation before it starts.
Can't believe anyone would actually side with Nia.
I can't believe anyone would actually side with johnny/Averey britches. And thanks two strikes.
Can't believe anyone would actually side with Nia.
Neither can I. Any intelligent person can see that Nia was a horrible human being on her season.
