Yep, but even worst. Can you imagine if CT and Wes weren't on this challenge or if Wes wasn't on FM2, it'd be even worst than it already was because Kenny, Darrell, and Landon would've had everything handed to them on a silver platter. And if Wes wasn't on The Ruins, that challenge would've been almost as stale as Duel 2.
I loved the Duel 2. It was stacked! It wasn't as drama-filled as other seasons, though the first episode had plenty. It had several new people, and it was the first Challenge for Landon, Mark, and Ruthie in years! (Maybe for others too, but those are the three who come immediately to my mind) So how was it "stale"?

I have to agree with them about Duel II being stale; The same people kept winning every mission, and certain people (Mark) got a free ride to the final.

If consistent winners and people getting a free ride to the end make for a "stale challenge" then which seasons do you like? Because since the beginning of elimination rounds (Gauntlet 1) there is yet to be a season where at leat one person doesn't get a free ride to the end.

It was very predictable, whereas the Duel was more spontaneous. The Duel 2 had that stupid deliberation list and we all knew who was gonna end up last with a few exceptions. There were no great/entertaining elimination/missions either.
CT vs Brad, Wes vs Derrick, The roller derby, the one where Svetlana won the bike, Svetlana vs Beth/Kina, Aneesa vs Robin, there were just a lot of great moments on The Duel where as on The Duel 2, it didn't keep me on the edge.

I get what you're saying. I don't agree with all of it though. I agree that the picking list put a damper on things. My biggest coomplaint about it though, was that the season was practically a couple format opposed to its intended singles format. However I disagree with your statement that there were no great and entertaining eliminations or missions. Brad vs Landon was freaking craziness and I was blown away by the result. On a personal level, my favorite competitor went into 3 Duels, so naturally, I was riled up for those.
Just out of curiosity, is there a reason why certain cast members have never been asked to do a challenge. I heard that Stephen from Denver has never been asked neither has Jose from key west, it seems like they were nice enough guys and would have a good relationship with production so it's surprising that they've never been contacted.
Who in everyone's opinion are top 20 least interesting people ever to be on the challenges?
1. Alex RW Denver- Gauntlet 3 (yawn Yawn YAWN)

Stephen was the least featured on his season as well as Jose... I'm sure that is a big reason. Another would be that too much time has passed between their original season and when they want a new rookie, they usually go for cast members that have the most recent seasons.
I heard that about Abram and Adam L being on Rivals as well, probably would have been there instead of Davis and Tyrie. Really is too bad, the game would have been so different if they were there, probably much better. We might see Adam on another challenge though.

...Adam Larson and Johnny Bananas on the same challenge? I don't know if the world would have been able to handle that much ************* in one setting.
But I doubt we'll see Adam again so we don't have to worry about that for the future.
Thanks to who posted that Bill Simmons interview with Johnny :). .I listened a few days ago, forgot to post until now. Few things from it: Johnny said he thought this challenge felt like an individual one, how so Johnny? You did everything with Tyler, I don't get his point on that. Look, you won the challenge with Tyler, you guys beat CT/Adam in the jungle. You did not beat CT 1 on 1, no matter how you try to portray it, i thnk that cutthroat incident really made him bitter. If it was individual final, Kenny would have smoked you, not sure about Tyler but he for sure would have beat you IMO. So be glad it wasn't.
He did point out the whole Entourage thing was just to stay in the news, but he did make a good point about how he could have named it anything and how he said before he watches the challenges.

In addition to that. Aside from the whole CT/Adam debacle nothing entertaining or memorable happened on that challenge. It was just really forgettable.

Haha, you never know!

Yep, Duel 2 and FM 2 were too political and one sided that it just fell flat. I have no idea why people want a 3rd one so bad.

I thought FM2 was one of the worst challenges and Duel 2 wasn't great either but Duel 1 was one of my favorites and I liked FM 1. It's really all about the cast/format. You have to get the right cast for each format of challenge.
Joey Kovar is saying he's going to be on the next challenge on his twitter:

If you scroll down his timeline, you'll see this"
@casscolosimo well i will be on the next "challenge" then I have the cover and centerfold of playgirl in September.
although it was written on July 29th. But I think he'd be a great addition, and a rookie who would instantly strike fear in the veterans

Anyone know if he's still sober?

you mean this? ^^
1. Too early for him to know.
2. I think this would be a violation of his contract.
3. I didn't like him on his season and I think he's the type of guy who might look he could win, but would actually not do well at all in a challenge.
I see him being "Brad" level at best.
Wont be remotely close to brads level on these challenges.
A poor mans Vinny probably

LOL! Brad's level is the best I think he can be, assuming he would be a good competitor. But I don't see him being a good competitor either, he seems like a bonehead and I don't think he will have the focus (like Laterrian and Dan Walsh).
I keep asking myself why BMP keeps casting the same old people all the time (especially the Key West cast, Jenn, Camila, FM & FMII people with the exception of Ev, Laurel and the drama queen Cara Maria). There are so many new people are down to do a challenge (Joey from Hollywood, Brianna, Scott, Jonna, Jasmine, CJ, Bronne, Emilee, Ashley (DC), Callie, Erika, Emily (DC), Mike (DC), Jemmye, Knight, Ashlee, Nany, Heather, Naomi, Leroy, Mike). I wouldn't say anything about Joey until I actually see him perform on a challenge but I see why people think he would be like Vinny.

They can't put everyone on the challenge and they need veterans to keep the old viewers around.
And it has been said that they call everyone to see if they are available for a challenge first and then with the list they have they decide on the challenge format, so it also depends on that.
I see him being "Brad" level at best.
Brad's shown that he's capable of winning a Duel and lasting half of a marathon on Cutthroat. Sure this Joey guy may be able to do that, but I can't see that in him just by looking at him.
Then again I also thought Landon would be terrible too by looking at him and what he did on his season so who knows

Yeah I understand that but still, why are they bringing the same old people season after season (Sara, Johnny, Paula, Jenn, Tyler) and people that don't bring anything to the show (Luke, Big Easy, Theresa, Mandi, Sarah, Katelynn) instead of casting newbies from recent Real World seasons or people we haven't seen in a couple of challenges? I think one of the reasons why Rivals got good ratings was because they brought veterans that we haven't seen in a couple of challenges (CT, Adam, Robin, Aneesa) and newbies (Jasmine, Leroy, Jonna, Adam, Mike) and they brought some fresh drama and story lines instead of the same old JEK vs Wes and Paula getting "backstabbed".
