Why feel bad for Brad? He weasled his way into two finals that he had no business being in and had no chance of winning.
Well CT disqualifying himself was quite a fluky victory for Brad, but I mean CT knew the rules, he saw Beth get disqualified for the same reason, and then he went and posted a better time in the final challenge than Wes who actually won the thing, but lost because of those soccer kick head starts. His victory over Landon was completely legit in my eyes, and Rachel pretty much left him out to dry on the final challenge of that one. Not to mention Mark screwed him over on Battle of the Sexes 2 for Eric's sake, and he was also part of that Gauntlet 3 dream team that would have won was it not for Big E. In all honesty he should have won 4 out of 6 of his challenges by now, but keeps running into bad luck/situations.
Many less deserving people win these challenges (Kenny, Johnny, Wes, The entire rookie team on G3, etc) . I think aside from Landon, Mark, Alton, and CT I wouldn't really put anyone above Brad from a competitive stand point, a lot of people are on the same level though. I mean everyone wanted Derrick to win one and then he won two in a row pretty quickly. Hope Brad gets one of them sometime soon.
I could never get into Road Rules. Even recently trying to re-watch a couple of them I got bored.
I personally don't understand how people find RR boring. I mean, yes it had its bad seasons (Viewers Revenge to name one) but for the most part, I always was entertained more by it because they actually went and had missions to complete as opposed to sitting in a house all day drinking, fighting, and getting laid.
I like RW now only because RR isn't around anymore, but when RR was still on, I'd usually not watch RW.
So with only 5 EPISODES LEFT of the Real World Cancun, I don't think the ruins will come fast. If anyone recalls, there was a little break between Hollywood and The Island, as well as, the Island and Brooklyn.
I still can't get over how short this season is.

I remember it was said production had to stop early or something. There was no break between Brooklyn and Duel 2.

I know that but I'm just saying. DC won't premiere until 2010 so there has to be some break. Plus the RW usually runs longer than the challenges. I will bet any money there will be a break. If they do back to back, the wed. time slot will be open too long following the ruins.
And production for Brooklyn also ended early, they still got a decent amount of episodes. Un****ingfair.

I hope we at least get a trailer when Cancun ends.
Yes! A Trailor is a must for The Ruins! It would be sooo disappointing if there is not one but i imagine there will be. right?
Most likely, but I'm 99.9% sure it won't come on straight after Cancun. Cancun just isn't long enough.

I think that The Ruins will air mid September.
Don't forget that The Island aired in September (The 17th) and that would line their schedule up to premiere Real World DC after Christmas (Just like Brooklyn, first week of January.)
Throw the reunion show in there (6 episodes total to go) and we are exactly within a week of where we were last year. So maybe they go a week early, maybe they throw a filler in like The *** They Should Have Shown to push The Ruins premiere to the 16th.
That is very true ClubSandwich, about Brad having a better time than Wes. That must be such a bad feeling inside to know that technically he beat Wes with the better time.

I don't know why the time was made into such a big deal... The race was who got to the end first, not who had the quickest time. Brad just can't seem to win one of these... :(
Either way, Wes won, and let's not argue it. Come on. He lucked out in that it was soccer.
I agree Dar. It could have been anything other than soccer. I don't think they would pick soccer just because Wes played soccer...

Justice for him stealing a W away from CT. CT would've kicked that soccer ball into Wes' head, smashed it, and ATE IT!

I would be so sure about that, because I don't know if CT has a soccer background. However, CT would have probably had a better time on the running part.

I hope this isn't the cast. The island already had promotion at this point (wasn't there a commercial before filming was even done?).
I hope The Ruins comes out in late October/ early November so it ends in early 2010. Challenges have a history of getting decent ratings in that time frame.

That is the real cast for the Ruins.
The Island had a trailer on the last day of filming, because on that day was also the finale for RW Hollywood. Duel 2 didn't have promotion until a month before it aired.

I disagree. I could be wrong, but just going off the top of my head, I could name a few that I think perform better than Brad.
Jamie (RW New Orleans)
Adam L
Abram
Mike M (I'm terribly biased when it comes to him, so I could be way off on this one)
Derrick
And quite possibly
Timmy
Theo (RR)
Darrell
I'm not trying to downplay Brad's capabilites, but in terms of playing the game, I think the social aspect gets him further than his physical abilities. I'd put him very close to the middle. I love him as a person, but he's never done something to wow me.

Adam is highly overrated. But I agree that Mike, Derrick, and Abram perform better.
Adam is highly overrated. But I agree that Mike, Derrick, and Abram perform better.
Adam is definitely overrated. I didn't like him on G1 because he kept wanting to send in Sarah. Also I loved the gauntlet where Derrick sends him home, that's one of my favorite gauntlets.
Anyway I do think Mike, Derrick and Abe are better competitors than Brad. Abe beat him in the Inferno and Derrick beat him in the Gauntlet.
I think Brad is a great guy, and he is far from being a bad player, but usually if not all the time, he flies under the radar. There are usually more important fish to fry, like in I2 Miz, G3 Ct/Evan, etc.
I agree with you, TQO. I'd put just about all of those guys ahead of Brad as well. I'd definitely put Theo V. ahead of him. Theo has always done well on challenges. I can't really think of a bad mission for him, actually (though there may have been one), and I'd put him up in the all-time great category with CT, Landon, Alton, Mark, etc. I do think Brad is a good competitor though, absolutely.
