Honestly. I would like to see this too. I think that they could get enough people to fill out the new school team....But It could be hard for them to get old school people(depending on who they want to get).
Especially with what people consider to be old school. I, personally, would consider old school anyone who has appeared on Pre-Fresh Meat challenges. Obviously, that species is very endangered.
I really wanna see Kina Dean from RR: Xtreme come back. She was a great competitor and FULL of Drama. Remember when she killed Angel in RR: Viewer's Revenge? LOL I'd love to see a showdown between her and Coral

The last info I heard is that she has a professional life in the Boston area.

I'm leaning towards option A... BTW, TEAM BRENCHEL! ;)
Question: Did Sarah and Abram get a share of the Grey teams money on Cutthroat?
Question: Did Sarah and Abram get a share of the Grey teams money on Cutthroat?
I understood the money to be split between everyone who made the finals. I don't think it was required that they had to finish.
I understood the money to be split between everyone who made the finals. I don't think it was required that they had to finish.
I suppose thats fair considering that's the money they earned together. I also wonder what would have happened if Grey had won or if it was even possible for them to win, I guess we will never know.
I suppose thats fair considering that's the money they earned together. I also wonder what would have happened if Grey had won or if it was even possible for them to win, I guess we will never know.
Well...they kept going after the first person went out, right? So I would imagine they were told it was still possible for them to win. Otherwise, what would be the point of continuing? They still got runner-up prize $$ instead of third place, even though Jenn and Emily both finished. Although this was the challenge TJ Lavin was specific about everyone needing to cross the finish line, right? So I don't know. Good question.

Only first place got money for Cutthroat. I'm also fairly certain that neither the Gray team nor the Blue Team ended up technically finishing the final (I've also heard from one person that the Blue Team didn't even do the swamp/barbed wire/puzzle section).

Abram and Sarah helped earn their team however much money they had at the end. They should have been given their share and it wouldn't have made much sense to keep that from them.

Good question.
Remember the season where Eric needed medical attention and couldn't finish, and the red team (bad guys?) finished the final first, but because Eric didn't cross the finish line, they were DQ'd? And Frank's team (good guys?) ended up winning. Yeah, I thought that was terrible.

That edit has not happened in other challenges. Perhaps it was just made abundantly clear in this one because of the outcome. If TJ made that clear for every final challenge, then there would really be no point in continuing once one member of the team was removed for medical attention...except maybe pride.

That was years ago and my memory is horrid. Had no recollection if TJ made that disclaimer or not. I remember Eric looking horrible, and then I think they tried to carry him. While I agree with that rule, I think there needs to be an exception that if trained medical technicians prevent a participant from continuing, then the remaining team members shouldn't essentially be disqualified. I was rooting for the blue team in that finale (no idea why, wasn't a fan of Frank at all) but even I hated how they "won."
I can't wait for the next Challenge season I would really love to see a New School vs Old School type format next because as of now competitors like Leroy, Ty, Emily, Laurel, Cara Maria, Mandi, and Camilla are becoming the new faces of the challenge and it would be cool to see them face the old faces like Johnny, Mark, Wes, CT, Derrick, Evelyn, and Paula.

Like if the medical team says they aren't well enough to continue then the team wouldnt be penalized, but if a team member just couldnt handle the challenge physically or mentally and stopped/quit then the team would be penalized/DQd

I could be wrong though.
Let's loosen up the rules/stipulations and let people who really want to get on, be on the next challenge. People like Derrick, Dan, Zach, Cohutta all should be welcomed back. We get less and less people wanting to do these anyway so when people come out and say they want to be on one, let's get them on. I hope there is a resurgence of strong females coming back. I think Emily and Laurel are game for more challenges so that's a good start. I hope Zach brings some noise on the next show.

My meaning was the show themes like exes, rivals, etc. that prevent certain people from coming on because they are very dependent on theme, not any specific rules so to speak. Hopefully they can come up with a theme that is less restrictive in regards to casting. Of course, a solo challenge would be great but I will also lobby for a 3 team challenge like Cutthroat.

I'm ready for MTV to bring some fun back to the challenges. Enough with all the testosterone-driven BS. The challenge is not BUDS training, no matter how manly a producer thinks he should make it.

And I kind of agree that the way the series is set up, it's generally the biggest/strongest guys that are gong to make it to the end. But I'm a big fan of very physical duels/elimination rounds. Nothing is more boring than watching individuals or a two person team puzzle it out in an elimination round. The one they did this past season where you had to bend down, then jump over the poles... horrible. I was bored watching it for 2 minutes. I feel bad for the contestants who had to watch for the 20+ minutes some of those went on. Things like Back off, or wrestling for a pole, etc... those are exciting to me. But it doesn't even have to all be about size. Two of my favorite eliminations was that football one in Gauntlet 3 (think Danny vs Adam), and I forget the season (Inferno?) but Brad vs Abe in that basketball style elimination round.
The thread title leads me to believe this thread is for all generic Challenge talk not worthy of it's own topic. If that isn't the case, I apologize. I want to say the last full season of RW that I watched was Austin, with Wes and Danny and others. After watching a few older episodes of various Challenge seasons (thanks for the tip, Molds).... is it me, or does it look like Danny Jaimeson maybe used steroids. He went from being a relatively skinny guy on Austin, to being top heavy huge on I think Gauntlet 3 was what I was watching.

I believe Mark Long is on roids too. I just don't see how 42 years old guy can be naturally such a monster.
