Yeah I don't know what production thinks, I mean what's wrong on letting them having an iPod , use a computer, or just let them go out ,like they used to do on the past.
It's crazy that they are not even allowed to read a magazine.
Lol I wonder how bananas was able to hide a camera an a cellphone for a while during free agents.
The fact that they aren't allowed to read is ******* idiotic. Production believes that it takes away from drama... Sure, it takes away some fake drama, but organic drama isn't going to vanish simply because someone is reading Game of Thrones or Cat in the Hat...
If they would give cast members the freedoms they had before, more cast members would come back. Can any of us blame those for not wanting to come back when they have no freedoms, sometimes can't even leave house, no internet, terrible food and showers, and then on top of that have to do missions that are semi impossible for some people to complete. People used to do challenges for free paid vacation, good times, and the possibility of money. Add the fact that it gave many cast members a reason to stay in shape, the older challenges were much more tempting.
Yep. I think if it was more like it was before...A Free, Fun Vacation with some competition thrown in..I think more people would be willing to do them.
I feel like on the older challenges when the cast was allowed some of those luxuries and comforts of home, plus more outings, the cast still had time between challenges/eliminations for all the costume parties, the group games a lot of entertaining moments. Unless production chooses for some reason to not show any of those moments on the episodes or **** shows/reunions any more, makes you wonder if their time in the challenge house is that miserable. I'm not a fan of the current boring drunken fighting by the same people every challenge looking for camera time..

I wish we could put together a letter explaining this in detail, along with the ratings to back up each challenge (Perhaps include some tweets from cast members that no longer want to participate in Challenges) and send it to someone within their production company. Granted, if they haven't gotten the clue yet, they won't get it until no one, even Johnny Bananas, wants to do another one.
If cast members were allowed to use social media, it would probably be hard to figure out who went home and who is still on the challenge.(which is a good thing!) haha
I would never say yes to an availability call ever again.
That is the challenge that made us lose Cooke , Marlon and to some degree Anastasia and Trishelle, so I'm sure some of the cast felt the same way.
Alton and Trishelle reactions to recent challenges should have tipped off production.
Not to defend production by any means, but I think Cooke would turn down the challenges no matter what, since she would rather play professional soccer. Meanwhile, Marlon is trying to get a record deal with his ridiculous rap videos on Youtube that get less than 300 views.
I hate how Alton was on seasons and everything but I understand why he had such a miserable time. He went from doing the shows when it was fun and laidback to this strict living conditions. He probably didn't expect it either.

I agree they should have thrown Cooke in Rivals 1 with Nany replacing Jenn/Mandi , then on Exes with Dustin (Although it wouldn't have mattered) and then on Seasons with Cooke/Dustin/Leroy/Nany etc but I guess production made the right decisions , smh.

Eh, I prefer marter over cooke.

Marlon should have never did a Challenge or even The Real World if he was serious about a rap career.
I may be alone but I don't think that the cast should have the luxuries they have back home. The point of a Challenge to me is being thrown out of your element and pushing against all the odds. The only thing I would like to see happen is them have the cast embrace the cultures of where they are filming. What is the point of flying someone to the other side of the world and not allow them to experience what that place has to offer? Makes no sense.

I agree to some extend! but I think they take over the top when they don't give them good food, hot water just cold baths and not let them read a book. Even though a lot of them hide stuff or just take 2 phones one they give production and another one they hide.

Which as we saw on the Swift/Johnny Bananas after show, doesn't work anymore since they legit will go through your entire room inch by inch to find things

I think they should have hot water and good food but the rest they can honestly live without. Unless you have a family emergency or something back home I don't think you need to have use of a cell phone. A Challenge is survival of the fittest which is why some of our favorites just don't make the cut.

They still make it happen lol to my understanding Jonna (some others did too) had a phone on Rivals 2 that's why she followed Nany on twitter way before being eliminated. On Free Agents Swift/Bananas were not the only ones being sneaky, they were one of the few getting caught and fined for it.

That's different. Here's how:
"Hey random person in bar, I'll give you 10 bucks to let me use your phone to go on Twitter for a couple of minutes"

That's not the only way, some of these have learn to cheat the system lol
Judging by what some of you are saying it seems that the cast main problem is that they can't be on social media and if that's the case they need to seek some help. LOL

They don't used their phones for only social media...Most of them used it to talk to people from back home. Which is understanding, Like that would be talk for me if I am only allowed to call back hoe certain days.

I don't understand the problem then for the vets aside from the people who haven't did the show in a while like Alton. Most of them know what's going to happen so they should just deal with it. If you are new to The Challenge and don't like the rules do like Ana and don't come back.
Katie said there was no A/C in the cutthroat house so the cast had a very hard time sleeping. Plus the production lights were above the bunks and were extremely bright. I still don't understand why production doesn't go back to it's old ways. I would LOVE to have a one on one talk with them LOL.

Well, Drake "started from the bottom" as a crippled high school teen in Degrassi and now he's on top. Anything is possible...
Susie has her own blog and she did an online radio chat with Cara. Susie dished on the conditions on The Ruins and Cara was baffled and said she would never come back due to the conditions. Susie said they couldn't leave the house. The shots when you see them at the swimming pool were very RARE. They weren't allowed in the pool area for like 99% of the time. Susie said she got fined for going out to the yard because she wanted to lay out and tan. That's why you only see the cast in their bedrooms or on the balconies.

I don't think its survival of the fittest. Some people just don't think the chance to win X amount of money is worth being stuck in a hell hole with a bunch of other crazies is worth the trouble. If they had the liberty to do as they please to a reasonable extent (minus having phones and computers) they will get more alum interested in participating.

They basically aired that Marlon slept with a guy and then we barely seen him the rest of his season. They definitely weren't concerned with showcasing his rap career.

So Marlon literally "started from the bottom", eh?
Sorry, the joke was there I had to take it!
Eh, I prefer marter over cooke.
I do to to an extent but Dustin/Cooke would have been more drama cause they hated each other back then.

Oh Please. Save all that nonsense for Survivor. What they're doing now is hurting the show and the pool of castmembers are getting smaller and smaller due to them not letting up on the conditions. I think they should be given freedom to actually do things and be decent to these people. I mean no hot water? Bad Food? that's not needed. If they want drama then maybe they should get more creative with the cast and stop casting the same group of people that know each other and are comfortable with each other. Make formats that are interesting and will actually encourage people to think for themselves and play their own game. And Beef up this Prize money too. This 125,000 crap ain't cutting it. Make it $500.000 or even a million. I bet people won't just follow the mob and do what they say when there's more money on the line. That's what needs to happen IMO.
