What was the first season people watched? i came way late into the challenge game. I randomly found the challenge on mtv.com after watching rw:LV2 which was the first RW i watched. CT and Leeroy made rivals for me, and got me hooked on the challenge.
First Challenge: Battle of the Sexes 1 (2003)
First Real World: San Diego (2004)
First Road Rules: X-TREME (2004)
I HIGHLY suggest watching pre-freshmeat challenges. Gauntlet 1 and Inferno 1 were great great seasons.
There's a reason why those 2 seasons were featured heavily on the Free Agents special show that aired weeks ago.
That season did suck. Especially after 4 great challenges in BOTSeasons, BOTSexes, Inferno & The Gauntlet. The drama was basically old vs new which didn't last long. Besides Ayanna spazzing & Tina vs Tonya there really wasn't much drama and the season was predictable. I think this was the first challenge where people were tired of the regulars as well.
huh??? I'm talking about BOTS2

First challenge I saw on TV was The Gauntlet, however, I didn't start watching the show on a regular basis and tune in every week until The Inferno II. I have since gone back and watched The Gauntlet-Battle of the Sexes 2.
huh??? I'm talking about BOTS2
Yeah...BOTS2 could also stand for Battle of the Sexes 2, which is what TheKorean is talking about.
First RW was Hawaii, RR was Campus Crawl, and first Challenge was Extreme Challenge. was watching them when I probably shouldn't have been at my age lol

First season I remember watching clips of was Hawaii, I started watched Chicago towards the end. The first season I watched start to finish was the original Las Vegas and Campus Crawl. The first challenge I watched start to finish was BOTSexes. I'm only 22, so I started watching these shows when I was like 9 or 10 LOL.
Wow ive gone back to about inferno 1 i think but it must have been awesome to watch the show for so long that every challenge youve seen is always experienced as a brand new one instead of watching old ones online

Yeah its been awesome to see the dynamics of the show and the cast change over time.... I have been recently rewatching some of the older challenges and it really makes me miss a lot of old schoolers and team challenges.

Extreme challenge is the only challenge I remember watching as a kid and RR Campus Crawl is the only RR season I can say I remember watching back in the old days. Those shows came during my 4th-6th grade years so I didn't make it a point to always watch these shows religiously. Brooklyn is the first RW season and The Ruins is the first challenge season that I watched in full.
My first Challenge was Cutthroat. It was during a rerun too. (which ironically, doesn't happen these days!)
I remember growing attached to the gray team because of Abram's leadership. (and he became one my favorite players, and still is)
After that, I was like..."I gotta watch more..." and noticed that the show had tons of seasons before it, so I watched as many as I could. :)
I'm sad that there might never be a Cutthroat II, but I hope for another 3-team challenge again.
Id really like to see another team challenge in the future, wins are so rare in the newer challanges. if you think about it not many people have won a challenge since rivals. And since Bananas decided to go ham and win 3 of them (well deserved)winners have become kind of rare. So it would be nice with a 2 or 3 team challenge so we would get to see some new people win. Maybe even some rookies.

I started watching when I was like 10 because of my older siblings, so RW Hawaii and RR MVT were first for me, but I didn't watch them like every week I don't think. I think New Orleans was the first RW I fully watched, The Quest was the first RR (but I didn't get into that season. Campus Crawl was my **** though). Extreme Challenge was my first challenge but they used to rerun seasons then so I had seen Challenge 2000.
Actually even though I consider myself an old school fan, I've actually never seen RW1-Seattle (I've seen parts of most seasons) or RR1-Semester at Sea (same)
BOTS2 Sucked in my opinion. What was so good about it? Just curious.
I'll chime in on this if you don't mind.
The cast was very much a Breath of fresh air from all the tired *** veterans and regulars that we see everytime. The newere seasons were being legitamatly represented for the first time. The challenges were less extreme and it didn't require you to be some crossfit athelte to do them(but you did needed some sort of ability. same thing for the Final) The four person team format was unique and Fresh and the Drama was actually fun and exciting to watch. And the elminatation rounds divided into 4 categories and that fact that you couldn't pick the same one back to back.
Theo only things I would have against this season is that ridiculous 4-team alliance. and a couple of the missions were dull or didn't go over so well(oil change, don't weigh me down). The whole Team Sydney Fiasco and them Being replace by Team Non-Castmember AKA Fresh Meat. And Team Austin. It was good Seeing Lacey but I'd rather not Have them there. But other than that the challenge was great. Top 10 IMO.

For me. It was the Extreme Challenge Way back in 2001. I was familiar with The Real World and Road Rules at that point but I didn't know about the challenges. So when I first saw it I thought it was a cool show and from then on I've been watching the challenges ever since.
I also thought seasons 2 was good way to incorporate a lot of the new faces and some we haven't seen in a while. I really loved the old Vegas new vegas
concept. It would have been cool if they maybe tried that with San Diego and NOLA but of course Im just dreaming of some sort of old school new school format. But yeah the Alton and Trishelle meltdowns kind of annoyed me as well as the main alliance :/

Yeah. Like I said before I feel like alot of the new challengers would be able to etch out a win in team challenges because alot of them are solid or above average competitors and those would be more valued and kept around in a big team challenge. i could definitely see Frank, Zach, Jonna, Nany Johnny(Portland) and Jordan. Doing very well and most likely winning in a team challenge.
The only point I disagree on a lot is the drama. This and Rivals 2--it just reeked of drunken drama. Frank, Zach, Knight, etc. made me actually miss JEK, they were that bad that season. Quite a few people have said how seriously they took the game and could almost never even have fun. One great thing from that season was Devyn though.
Lol it's so funny because at one point I started to hate the politics and team backstabbing that I couldn't wait for an individual challenge. But after seeing FA I'm just so ready for full on teams and to see how good the newbies are in those kinds of situations. For example during the gauntlet 3 the males were trying to throw challenges to get rid of the females... I would just love to see some new manipulators in the game.

My first Challenge was Duel 2. I remember the episode I started watching too... the one where Ruthie and Isaac went home. My first Real World was the one after that Challenge, Cancun.
The reason I started watching the franchise was because of Jonna. She had been on Endurance when she was younger, and I was obsessed with Endurance, and I found out she was gonna be on a new TV show, so I decided to watch! And I've been hooked ever since. Since then, I've gone back and watched every Challenge since Challenge 2000.
My first RW season was Portland, and My first challenge was Season 2. Call me crazy but Seasons 2 made me love The Challenge, and I went back and watched Exes 2, Cutthroat, and Rivals. I've never seen a RR season, but I might watch one.
Lol! I've never thought Wes was attractive either. Ct will always be my number 1. Duh. Mark, Brad, Yes, Laterrian, & Kenny are also on my list haha. I used to have a huge crush on Shane when his season was on but I grew out of that. For the newer generation, I've had my eye on Dustin, Zach, Jordan, and Robb. Robb looks really good right now!
I loved me some Laterrian and Yes. FUNNY you mention them as they are in the opening credits to BOTSEexes together.
Also, David was hot but he was an idiot to Melissa and that dumb song...ew. Julie know she wanted to have that chocolate.
My first challenges was Rivals, first real world was LV2, I have seen every challenge and when I'm at school I watch Inferno 2, Gauntlet 2 and the Duel whenever I have free time, love those seasons. I haven't seen much road rules either than Campus Crawl and South Pacific but I loved those as well.
First challenge I saw was: Battle of the Seasons. It's the only challenge I've seen that I haven't gone back and watched, and I literally only remember the beef between Coral and ol' slappin Stephen. Other than that, I remember nothing.
First Real World: I saw the first episode of the original New Orleans, but the first full season I saw was B2NY. Watched every season religiously until San Diego 2. Also didn't watch Ex-Plosion, because from what was alluded to prior to the season it seemed plenty contrived.
First Challenge:Battle of the Seasons 2k2
First RW:B2NY
First RR: Semester at Sea. Latin American through Adventure 1 was not even on my radar.
*high fives*
My first season was Hawaii, but I didn't watch every episode. Same with New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Philly. I would regularly watch, but back in the pre-DVR days, I definitely missed some episodes. I did watch all of Paris though. Key West and Austin were shows I watched casually, but not every single episode.
I didn't watch Denver or Sydney, but starting with Hollywood, I watched every single episode of every single season. The one exception was San Diego II. The trailer looked so bad that I didn't watch a second of that season.
Regardless if a season sucks I have to watch it.
I wish I could every season of the real world/challenge from the beginning to the end to really see how much it has changed over the years.

I loved dont weight me down I thought it was a great mission. I agree about the format was great. If Sydney was there it would have been must better IMO.
