I'm curious how many corners were cut this time with protocols before filming..

Well at least they are getting paid to sit around and do nothing.

I'd love for someone to pay ME to stay in a hotel room for weeks

btwn seasons so many of them do absolutely nothing anyway so theyre built for this

scared about Amanda especially due to her baby son. Wonder if she'll just say 'take me home to my son' instead of going back onto the show.

was just thinking this. I could see her quitting because that's a very long time to be away from her kid. i really hope production figures this out and maybe shortens the filming timeframe. 5 weeks with 4 weeks of quarantine is just too much, they need to just do a quick 2-3 week season like All Stars

I feel like you severely underestimate the lack of actual human interaction and the ability to go outside. It's not always worth the money lol.

I was in a hotel room with very little interacting for five days a few years ago, it gets old FAST, even with the opportunity of doing something awesome possibly coming after it.

so big t has only been formally eliminated 2/4 of her seasons, shes giving katie cooley with all these medical evacuations if her getting covid is true

When did Katie ever get medically evacuated?

i meant in the sense of constantly getting hurt

Other than Cutthroat when was she hurt?

Josh is always traveling the world every week without wearing a mask and production is shocked when they cast him and someone contracts covid

hope the location makes up for this extra quarantine, i would definitely drop out if it's anything close to looking like that little *** double agents house.

A large portion of the US had to do that during COVID for months--they can handle it for a week or two.

i feel horrible for whoever gets sent home when filming resumes imagine going through 2 multiple day quarantines to be sent home immediately after

A hotel in another country and your own home are extremely different circumstances, so this is a ridiculous comparison ****.

I can see production doing only a week or a week and half of quarantine.

No frl imagine spending three-four weeks worth of quarantine just to be eliminated two days later i would be fuming lol

i feel like they would know beforehand this would be a possibility. production will probably let them phone home

well the weather doesn't look all that great right now so that would def make me think about just leaving. Lol

I truthfully don't see a difference.  Why does it matter if your at your home or in a hotel?   I'm sure a ton of people would rather be in a hotel than in their homes  lol.   Isolation is isolation.   I'm sure they're able to talk to people more right now than if they were filming.  The only issue is if this gets extended--then I agree with you but chilling in a hotel (when the cast is probably allowed to talk to each other) doesn't seem like a deal breaker.   Plus, they aren't going to let them fly right now if they had a direct contact so might as well hang out because they're not going home.

I really don't think the cast is going to be as mad as you're all making it out to be--they'll likely speed up things.  Shouldn't have much of a real impact on them

for once i agree with kvm!

true but my point is those who love being on the challenge AND have nothing else going on will 100 stick it out despite the looming boredom of more quarantine

Everyone does at some point don't feel bad  lol   :)

Agree with kvm too. Hopefully its not longer than 2 weeks. If not I feel like the season will permanently be suspended

This is why you cast vets on the show who know how to behave and handle quarantine/covid.

Doesn't surprise me that they managed to **** this up. Lol other reality shows had to do this and had no problems

I would be shocked if only one person has covid.

How do you think they will speed it up? Purges etc?

mtv is a mess lol. teen mom got shut down for 2 weeks & floribama shore also got shut down for 2 weeks after they brought in guests and did a location change.

How do you think they will speed it up? Purges etc?

i could bet money that originally the eliminations would be guy days and girls days but to speed it up while still being on schedule they might just do partners eliminations now

Tbh I've missed purges I wouldn't mind having them back

How do you think they will speed it up? Purges etc?

probably purges, less days off, a challenge+elimination in the same day, etc. there is also bound the be a DQ. or they might cut more people and make the cast smaller lol

I wouldnt mind 2 people going home an episode or paired eliminations. Double agents literally felt like half a year.

yeah they should just have partner elimnations

lmaoooooo they don't either.

Rookies, Vets & international all have been seen not "handling" Covid in the most mature way. I even remember being sent pics in my DM of some them doing a get together or going away "party" days before departure.
