Danny from RR Xtreme is the first person I think of when the topic of PED usage comes up. He had the obvious roid rage on Gauntlet 2 and on that season he also had a bloated roid gut. Evan also had a bloated gut on The Ruins and Rivals but that might just be because he's fat.
You're thinking of "GH Gut" which is a distended stomach, aka a side effect of using Human growth Hormone, a commonly used PED (naturally produced in humans by the pituitary gland), stacked with AAS to gain muscle and grow at an increased rate. If you want an example of someone who stacked the two, look at the Rocks transformation from Pre-Pain & Gain to the filming of the movie. Un-real
If I had to take a wild guess, I would say that Johnny, Evan, Wes, Dunbar, Ty, Leroy, Robb, Vinny, Miz and perhaps CT have all used steroids or some other PED in the past. Also Emily Bananas and Wes are the most obvious in terms of gaining and losing weight rapidly within one season respectively. I'm sure CT has used in the past, but honestly, his gains have been consistent over the years since Paris. He didn't get "big overnight". In fact, he clearly bulked multiple times (almost to the point of being fat) aka Inferno II, Duel II, Exes, Free Agents. I know some of the trainers he has worked with as co-workers over the years, and although he's a loose cannon he actually has an unreal dedication to his regime (workout and diet). He also has trunks for legs which is usually not something that happens when you're taking AAS, as the upper body grows rapidly faster. My question is what do you guys think Production/The Challenge's position on weed on these challenges. I know that Wes brought in on there a couple times, and CT/Knight looked like they blazed a couple times during Rivals II. ****, I even remember CT lighting a blunt in a bar at Exes
Emily definitely doesn't use roids.... As for Wes he just stopped working out and training for challenges Why do you think they used steroids that logic makes no sense......
I would be surprised about Emily since she emphasizes things like the paleo diet. I know that some people who do that diet also take supplements, but it seems to be an opposing philosophy, for the most part. Actually, all of the females seem clean to me. Evelyn and Laurel are just athletic and competitive people who are good at these things. The only thing that sticks out is Laurel's height, but that's obviously not suspicious. I'd be very surprised about any other females as well. I think Stevo's guesses are fairly accurate although I would disagree on Leroy and possibly Ty. Wes talked about it briefly on a Grantland podcast. He never said anything about himself but said that the peak of steroid use was a few years before Rivals II. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was from Gauntlet III to the Ruins. He also said that on Rivals II he didn't think anyone was using steroids. Frank basically said outright that Knight was a drug addict, but he never brought up anything about steroids.
I wonder if this may be the reason why some if the cast are mysteriously banned :D
Absolutely not. But who do you think has been "mysteriously banned?"
Right, but he was referring to Knight after filming his season. He was specifically referring to the context of Rivals II, the time after Rivals II and when they filmed the reunion, and the spring break stuff he did with CT and other cast members. I assume that Frank's comments on a site like Grantland, which is visited daily by thousands of people, was what led to Knight getting so heated during the reunion and hitting Frank.
Emily definitely doesn't use roids.... As for Wes he just stopped working out and training for challenges Why do you think they used steroids that logic makes no sense......
Because muscle doesn't deteriorate that fast. If you understand catabolism and muscle atrophy, then you'd know that the significant difference between losing muscle, and straight up not being able to maintain or build muscle without the use of hormone cycles. My guess is Wes, who I think it's fair to say has somewhat matured in life, realized that the aesthetics he along with most are obsessed about in their youth, isn't worth the potential several decades off your life and stopped using after Rivals I. If you take things as he's saying at face value, then maybe he did "never lift a weight after Rivals 1." I find that hard to believe, seeing as he was humiliated on that final, and ended up attempting to compete in every subsequent challenge after that. Besides his obvious fluctuation in testosterone, (going from a cocky outgoing ginger to someone with ZERO confidence,) it's not even like you can deny that he wasn't ON steroids to begin with. I think Leroy was originally on steroids around Rivals 1. I say this because he stopped and went natural with the whole "lean body" and lost a lot of mass in the process. He's still pretty big now, but if you look back, there was an obvious body comp. change (for the better.) Ty strikes me as someone whose on steroids because besides having several instance of roid-driven mood swings, he is one of the least athletic/strong competitors there. I think the same can be said about Swift. At the end of the day this is speculation as There's no real concrete proof like the others. If I were to guess though Id say they did. And emily without a doubt took steroids between Exes and Rivals II. It's obvious and disgusting. Besides the mass muscle gain over a year, she developed ****** and physical features brought on by excess testosterone. And saying "she's a nutrition nut" doesn't in anyway make it less likely she did. In fact, AAS, GH & PEDs provide MAXIMUM results with a strict, optimal diet. Look at every single bodybuilder competing for "Mr. olympia" It's not like they eat **** everyday. In fact, they all have better diets than most of the people who naturally lift. Yet they are all on steroids and maximize their mass gains by balancing an acutely measured diet and working out at optimal performance levels. Emily, and many other "cross-fit elites," use PEDs just like Bodybuilders to maximize their performance results

I don't think Emily does steroids, but her abs are ridiculous. As far as CT goes, I think he has used PED's before, not a lot, but it's safe to assume he did since his brother did in fact sell that type of stuff and I can't see Chris not having some interest in trying it. But he's always maintained his size, he has no gyno, and he's never slimmed down a lot. He definitely went on a bulk after Gauntlet 3 though I'll tell you that. He then went on a cut for Cutthroat and Rivals.
I saw some pictures on another site a couple years ago that somebody posted of CT playing basketball his senior year of high school and then during his sophomore year of college...didn't even look like the same guy. We're talking like a 60-70 pound increase in muscle mass in that two year period, and he actually looked bigger and bulkier in the pic from college than he has during his entire stint on MTV. The only reason you could tell it was him in the pic from high school was because of his distinct bushy eyebrows and the fact that his name was in the caption.
I decided to name my MVPs from all the seasons I watched. I also watched Battle of the Seasons and Battle of the Sexes 1 but they were actually scored so I figured there was no reason to make my subjective claims lol. I currently have a condition called "week after the finale itus" where all i do is think about the show like a loser MVPS The Inferno 2 Landon Tonya I know that Mike was the bloated spiritual leader of the Good Guys this season, but Landon did way better overall and was super alcoholic (+1 for hangover difficulty). And was Tonya really the best girl? Jamie actually won, and Rachel was the best ******, but Tonya won two eliminations, and weathered the emotional abuse of Veronica, Tina, Beth, Rachel and everyone else basically. Fresh Meat Wes Coral What Wes did; just deciding to sprint during all the eliminations, but never tell anybody the details of them wasn't brilliant but really effective and he was a drama magnet. Coral did only make it through half the season, but she absolutely RAN the show. Sorry, Tina. The Duel Jodi CT I know Aneesa and Svetlana ran the tables with eliminations, but Jodi was good enough to win immunity nearly every time. And while CT didn't make it to the final, he probably should have. The Inferno 3 Abram Susie Abram and Kenny are basically neck and neck, but I gotta give it to Abe for that harrowing elimination v. Timmy. And then I understand the argument that Susie brought her team down, but she always performed when she needed to. The Gauntlet 3 Frank Jillian While the Veterans had a few way better players, the team aspects make it hard to single out their wins. Whereas Frank basically carried his team in the final, and won 3 eliminations against some bigger players. Jillian's elimination wins were less impressive, but she seemed like a good team presence and was really hot this season (NEVER FORGET HOT JILLIAN, PEOPLE) The Island Ev I think this season only has one MVP since males and females weren't really divided. Ev just tore it up on every level, and would do anything to win. She is a true beast. Never forget that high art monologue either The Duel 2 Evan Rachel This was difficult, as you could argue Landon and Brad just as easily. But Evan was the most well rounded and cunning player. And he did win; even if by just a second. Rachel was hilariously better than all the girls, and probably most of the guys this season. The Ruins Johnny Bananas*** Susie Susie killed it this challenge. She went into tons of eliminations, manipulated the **** out of the boys, and was a key part of the victory. It's hard to pick a best out of JEK and their disciple Derrick, maybe Bananas for his upset against Dunbar. Fresh Meat 2 Landon Laurel Kenny did incredible throughout the season, but Landon still beat him in the final while carrying 150 lbs of cocktail waitress. And Laurel gets my girls pick, but I acknowledge she didn't have that great of competition this challenge Cutthroat Tori Tyler Controversial picks, I KNOW. Tori is one of the more hated especially for this season, but every one of her moves was so calculated and clean. She deserves it for pure precision. Brad would not have won without her. Tyler had to go against Johnny and Derrick (and CT), and still had a spring in his step during the final. Even though he is a catty monster, he is still on my all challenge team. Rivals Ev Johnny Bananas Ev is just really good, and lifted a panicky, self confidence lacking Paula to a victory. We all love today's Paula but lets not forget 2006-2010 Paula, she was a NIGHTMARE. And Johnny Bananas did not do anything that impressive this season, but he strategized his and Tyler's way to the final, and received a reported production assist win (which is still a win, folks). Battle of the Exes Johnny Bananas Camila I don't think you can debate Johnny Bananas for Exes; This was his first indisuputably dominant challenge in my opinion. I do think Camila, Diem and Emily could all be argued as MVP's, since they all did really well in certain stages, but will ultimately go with Camila for her elim and final victory Battle of the Seasons Zach/Frank Tris****e Zach and Frank were a duo of destruction and you cannot single one out without the other. Frank antagonized everybody to tears while Zach could back it up in the challenges. And while I get that I am supposed to pick Sarah since she is an estimated 3 million times more likable, I think Tris****e played a better game. She did better in the final, and was shrewd enough to selfishly force Nany into an elimination with Alton, while her and Dustin later took out the far bigger Marie and Robb. It was an isolated incident of quality, but one I will not overlook Rivals 2 CT Emily I do not think that their is an argument against these two, so I won't defend them Free Agents Johnny Bananas Laurel Laurel was a bad ***** from day 1 and did this without any alliances and either beat every girl through competition. with words or both (your move, Theresa) . Johnny Bananas also won alot of challenges and eliminations. And he nearly got second place when partnered with Devyn for a leg.
I don't think Wes or anyone else was on steroids because as an athlete that trained for football and track and field, I had to fluctuate weight every 6 months. For football I would add about 30lbs to my frame, it obviously wasn't all muscle, but it was a pretty clean bulk. And for track my coach liked me at a slimmer body, so he told me to lose 15 lbs after football. My body changed drastically, every time I bulked or cutted. And when I was cutting, I lifted heavy but lowered my calorie intake. So someone like Wes who "hasn't lifted a weight in 2 years" I would believe that it would be entirely possible to lose all of that. I lost all my hard work so fast after football. But who knows? lol
So I decided to re watch most of "The Challenges" so Fresh Meat 2 , Both Rivals and Exes , I think I discovered there biggest mistake to which we now have to see Bananas and CT, They get all the Airtime minus FM2 obviously. Each season as of recent has a central character (Bananans and CT usually) then there is the 75 % of the cast that will follow the central character (Hookups , Alliances and Polics) and the small 15% that is cast purely to add fill the numbers of the cast and finally the 10% which is meant to be the opposition (Rivalries and/or Rookies ) , Now at this point every newbie comes either going with or against Bananas , I argue that they both are past there prime and while no one can take their place if they go back to group edits and us understanding more about what happens In the house even the voting/club scenes are super rushed I bet ratings go up , every season I have watched from 21+ , I always forget 3-4 even made that final let alone where on the challenge , I don't want to watch The CT or Bananas show especially the latter who's only entertaining moments comes from competing in finals , Also these new kids are not engaging at all like I can only count 12 people from the past 4 RW, Who actually did something relevant , the other are all blah at these challenges , I'm not a fan of Fresh Meat format but we need some challenge ready kids But I will say that these rookies-new kids deserve a call every time cause they have impressed me in some shape or form. Sydney: Isaac , Cohutta Brooklyn: J.D , Sarah Cancun: Emilee , Jasmin , Jonna D.C: Ty NOLA: Jemmye , Knight Vegas: Adam , Cooke , Dustin , Nany , Naomi San Diego: Frank, Zach St.Thomas: Marie , Robb Portland: Anastasia, Johnny , Marlon , Nia As for Explosion I want to only see Cory and Thomas tbh Rant Over
Since when people like todays Paula? In Rivals II, she still was annoying as ****.

Sarah performed a **** of a lot better then tras****e but tras****e had a much stronger team, put Sarah on Vegas and Tras****e on Brooklyn and Dustin & Sarah win.
Emily doesn't use them she admited she didn't so its your word against hers.
Hahaha why would anyone openly admit to using steroids? I don't know what Knights pre-existing addictions were, but just because someone did coke a couple times on spring break doesn't make them a drug addict. If you've ever been to college, have an active nightlife, or have been on spring break, you'd know that rec drug use is pretty much ingrained in the culture. I do know Knight and Jemmye used to burn all the time too when they were together so maybe that's what Franks mentioning. Knight strikes me more as an alcoholic than anything else. There are plenty of other challengers from that same era (Mark, Darrell, Rachel, Brad, etc.) that still have interest in coming back for more challenges but aren't being given the chance to do it. There are others that can keep that era of the show alive, not just those two. Too bad the people in charge can't figure that out.
Only Frank and Zach have displayed qualities of carrying the show even though they're rookies. You expect Jemmye to carry a show? Or Robb?
Bull****. Several of them have qualities that can carry the show. The four you mentioned(I fee like Robb could be entertaining given the right circumstance) And in addition to those Jordan, Devyn, Marie, Dustin, Leroy, Jonna, Trey, Emily(DC), Nany, Johnny(Portland) Latoya, Nia, Knight. And there are people who I think could be entertaining given the right circumstances like Laura, Nate, Sarah(Brooklyn) Emilee(Cancun) Ayiiia, Swift. And **** people who may not have even done a challenge yet that I think could bring something to the show like Cory, Jenny, Brian, Thomas, Jay, Ashley M, Andrew, Ashley(DC) Ryan(New Orleans 2) Scott, Avery, Ashlee(New Orleans 2). So I fully believe that the new kids have shown that they can carry the show.

People keep saying that they want to see Rachel, Brad, Darrell etc. But I wouldn't want to see them because they already have a bunch challenges under their belt and I also think that they wouldn't be entertaining because these people have actual jobs and families now. I'd rather them get on with their lives and let the new kids have their time. There are some old-schoolers that I would like to see. Like Ace, Ruthie, Syrus, Steven(Las Vegas 1) and some others.
Does anyone likes Trishelle? I can not stand her at all!! Ughh and why rivals II wasn't Dustin and Frank? It really annoys me that they put JB and Frank together :/
