What about doing another international real world. They could do it in the southen hemisphere where it is summertime right now, or is it a guarantee that it is going to be in the USA again?

During the RW's years of good ratings, the international seasons were not well rated in comparison to the USA seasons. I wouldn't look to an international season to rescue this tired franchise.

Real World: Bangkok, where the cast members have to hustle for the smoking, drug-dealing monkey from Hangover 2.:)
After looking at the weather reports, I am gunning for a Real World Austin 2
Austin could definitely be a possibility if BMP decides to go for a warmer season.
She's been contemplating this decision for a while, but now it's official:

I always had mixed feelings about Evelyn. Sometimes, I would really enjoy her: when she took Johnny's key, when she gave up her spot for Kellyanne, but then sometimes
I wouldn't like her: When she took Dunbar's key over Johnny's, when she flipped out at Luke.
I guess I'm kinda happy though because although the series lost an interesting castmember,
I've been wanting them to move forward and start focusing on a different group of castmembers instead of JEK, Evelyn, Paula, Wes.

I'm sure she will miss you too.:torch:
Seriously, though, you raise an interesting point. I'm sure Evelyn would otherwise consider her departure a fitting sacrifice were JEK never to reappear on TV again. (Further comments about E & K deleted until after the trial.)

Just giving my opinion...
Anyways, I thought the trial was over because of lack of evidence?

Yes, and I appreciate your opinion. I don't poke fun at comments I don't appreciate.
The trial has not started. It's likely months away following a lot of pre-trial stuff probably including depositions from the cast and crew. If you were reading the initial media coverage of the filing, then you didn't heard about the evidence yet. That is what gets presented at trial, in part, based on the discovery process. At the moment both sides are being very quiet -- perhaps negotiating something out of court.

Would Kenny hosting the Exes preview special indicate something of possibly seeing him in the future?
Would Kenny hosting the Exes preview special indicate something of possibly seeing him in the future?
Well he was on Derrick's podcast for winning one of the challenge awards and he said he's willing to come back if BMP/MTV asks him. They obviously didn't mention the trial but I'm guessing that that wouldn't matter? I mean if he's guilty then perhaps, but if its a pending trial or he's proven innocent, I don't see why they wouldn't ask him back.

The civil trial in California State Court will be Tonya Cooley v. Bunim/Murray Productions and MTV. Kenny is not on trial. I'm sure they've all been admonished not to talk about it. That is standard fare for such things.
I'm not sure that guilt or innocence makes much difference to the insurance underwriters at this point. The allegations are very serious and I can't imagine why an underwriter would want to take the risk of ensuring a challenge involving certain parties until the legal matters are settled. The underwriters would also have a clearer picture of the potential evidence than would either the media or viewers.
Would Kenny hosting the Exes preview special indicate something of possibly seeing him in the future?
I suppose that is possible, but if I were on Tonya's legal team I think I'd be very appreciative for a number of reasons that he will be hosting something involving the challenges on MTV.

Oooo. I won't bother asking what that means since it sounds pretty cryptic but it does sound very interesting. Honestly though, if I were Kenny or Evan and this trial was still going on or underway, I think I would try to avoid MTV at all costs. For someone that calls people idiots so quickly, I've never seen Kenny do anything intelligent, haha.
My money's on San Francisco. It's good weather, progressive (they were looking for an Occupy protestor to possibly be part of the cast), fits the type of person reportedly being cast, and their first season there was a big big hit. If BMP needs a Hail Mary city that is likely to be interesting for the cast without being drunken drama. Here's hoping the producers, casting directors, and editors know the difference between drama and melodrama this time around.

What about Real World: Oakland? They're both warm and in the same area, but they'd just have different names. I think if it was real world Oakland, they could have like 3 African Americans since Oakland's greatest demographic is African American. Could be an interesting season, but so could San Francisco.

Yeah, Puck the Next Generation, but then again, 2012 is supposed to be the end of civilization, so go for it.
I just wanted to add that the idea on twitter was supposed to be titled "the battle". BMP stated that it was a competition-based show where there are 6 competitors and 1 ends up winning. Derrick along with many other cast members were stating on twitter that they didn't want a fresh meat (which everyone thought BMP was talking about because they used the hashtag Fresh), so BMP responded saying that this opportunity didn't have to do with the challenges.

Entirely different. I believe the "battle" turned out to be "The Controller" which included LeeRoy in the cast and Ibis as one of the field producers. There is a brief thread for it somewhere here at vevmo.

Oh really? That sucks. I was hoping it'd be like something similar to road rules in that there would be 6 people going around competing in different challenges. Possibly a show to relate to the challenges.
I hated the Controller.

I believe that the Controller was BMP's first effort to create completely digital (i.e. online only) programming and they missed their mark by making it too video-gamey. Putting Chet Cannon on it didn't help them try to sell it IMO because he represents to the audience everything the series tried not to be--Ubber Dorky.
Any possibilities of them doing Denver again? I think Denver was a fairly good season. And maybe they could do more RW: Boulder. HUGE college town. Very liberal. Great outdoor activities. Great nightlife. I think it would be perfect. It might be too unknown of a city though.
Wow, the comments of The Controller page are so homophobic and disparaging.
The comments at Youtube really don't make a lot of sense, but unlike the clean up done by the mod contingent here at vevmo, that place is like the wild west of posters. While I didn't watch all of The Controller, I thought what I saw was decently done and much better than a lot of new media junk on the Internet. It was especially nice to see Ibis working on the show and to see @RoyLee25 in a different context.

To be taken seriously in Boulder, they would have to have the majority of cast with Mike Ross' IQ or higher. The university age community in Boulder is far more sophisticated than what ever appears on MTV. Perhaps if they were all cyclists and they could work for Lance Armstrong's company, that would be unique and interesting (at least to me).
