I'm sure the pot shops would cause them PR problems in the US even if it is legal there.
I disagree. Its not like anyone generally cares what the cast does besides us here
I just have a feeling it won't be that good because the RW/Challenge pairing usually are the same to me. Brooklyn/Duel2 - Both were snoozefests but still watchable. Cancun/Ruins - Both had a lot of drama but it was stretched out for entirely too long. Dc/FreshMeat2 - Both boring and brought nothing but annoyance into the challenges. NOLA2/Cutthroat - Both had their moments, they were good but nowhere near the best. LV2/Rivals - Both were drama filled from start to finish and maintained high ratings. SD/???
Unfortunately, that scares me more because the sort of "drama" that MTV seems to favor is the sort of drama that turns me off. I would rather see hard-core competition than all that in the house stuff. I will at least give them credit for the rivals round where they were running in the pit moving balls from one side to the other--that was the most interesting/suspenseful/cringe-worthy round I have seen them do yet.
Er, I disagree completely. I find the "hard core challenge stuff" of recent seasons to be boring in comparison to the "in house drama" of older seasons like The Inferno and Battle of the Sexes.
Both have their moments. I think people eat up fights/drama if the people involved and motivation are right. Coral and Julie (Inferno), or Tonya and Beth (Inferno 2), or CT vs Adam (Gauntlet 3/Duel 2), are all examples of confrontations that people seem to like. Nobody wants to see Camila and Theresa (Cut Throat) or Jonna and Camilla (Rivals) where the fights seem forced or initiated because one cast member knows they need camera time to be memorable and to be asked back. The "hard core challenge stuff" is really exciting if the result is something like Bottleneck Stampede from Cut Throat or the T Bone elimination from Rivals, it's not that exciting however if the difficulty/intensity doesn't translate well on television, most of the challenges on the Duel 2 suffered from that if you ask me, same with the Ruins although that was more that the results were so one sided it was hard to build suspense on.
If there is drama it shouldn't be forced like The Ruins drama but it should be funny not like FM2 or Cutthroat **** the drama there seemed so High School.

I strongly believe Chicago will be our next location
I'm waiting for: Real World Jersey and The Island II! Hoping to see Joey Kovar from RW: Hollywood to be on a challege!
I'm waiting for: Real World Jersey and The Island II! Hoping to see Joey Kovar from RW: Hollywood to be on a challenge!
I don't think we'll ever see RW Jersey because of Jersey Shore. (not hating on Jersey, I live in Jersey...just not the shore realm).
I strongly believe Chicago will be our next location
I'm going to agree. Either there or Philly. I know that they're probably going to want the roommates to be involved with the Occupy Wall Street and I'm positive those cities have a large amount of participators. I would have KILLED to be on Real World and live in Chicago. I'm from LA and I'll always be a Cali guy but if I could move anywhere for a lil bit, I would definitely want it to be Chicago.
For the Challenge, I am hoping it's the Island 2, Ruins 2, or even Battle of the Seasons 2. As for the Real World, I'm hoping for RW: Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver.

From Chicago, but California would be an awesome place to live I think.
Personally, I'm holding our for Real World: Baffin Island.
Haha, that'd be insane!
Personally, I'm holding our for Real World: Baffin Island.
Forget that, I want to see a Real World here:

I wanna see them do a season in an extreme home like a tree house, or an ICBM silo, or riverboat or something weird like that.
I strongly believe Chicago will be our next location
Why is that?
Why is that?
I know you weren't asking me, but if they are following the trend of "Back to" cities (as they should be since JM said they ran out of good locations), then they should be repeating the cities that have been most popular with viewers. Chicago is toward or at the top of that list. It is a guess, but a very good guess.

Better that they put them somewhere in the South where the weather doesn't suck in the winter. Of course, it depends on when they will begin filming.

I think it will be a great change of pace to return to a big city with a lot more going on for the roommates to explore.
my feeling is 27 - Boston or Chicago 28 - London or Hawaii
I think a foreign real world would be great because it can bring a lot of humor if they dont speak the language.
I think a foreign real world would be great because it can bring a lot of humor if they dont speak the language.
I wasn't a fan of any of the foreign seasons. Sure, they all had their moments, but those moments were gems in the rough. Sydney could have been condensed to 6 episodes in the middle and I would have been fine with it. London was a snoozer through and through beyond the tongue incident and Paris was generally boring unless CT was drunk and beating up Parisians. I know BMP doesn't want to hit up new locations, but I think that if they ever had designs on breathing ratings life into their 20 year old franchise they should seriously consider Atlantic City. Snag a few over pimped, overly tanned locals (i.e. Jersey Shore clones) and mix similar ilk (bat**** insane narcissists from around the country) for the remainder of the cast to ride the coattails of the departing Jersey Shore. I personally would hate it, but I bet you'd see ratings double...
^^^ Yeah I'm sure a lot of the die hard Real World fans would hate that but it probably would get a lot more ratings.

I would love it if they just said, "Hey, Let's think of a new show involving strangers living together, call it 'The Real World' and start over with an otherwise completely new formula" but they won't.
Ran out of good locations? They got to be ****ting me.
