Whoops. Bahahaha, hilarious.
A Minnesota Vikings player had his name misspelled on his jersey on Sunday. Seeing as how the team has players on their roster with last names like Tahi, Kleinsasser, Shiancoe, DeGeare, Favre, Guion, Onatolu, Kluwe and Loeffler, the error is understandable. Yet it wasn't any of those complexly-surnamed gentleman who wore the offending jersey. That belonged to Kevin Williams(notes), he of the third-most popular last name (and easiest to spell) in the country.
via

The Bengals are not a good football team at all. It makes me happy that they are so bad because I live in Ohio and all I heard before the season started was that the Bengals would be in the super bowl. I saw this coming though, last year was a fluke for them.
I picked the results of the rest of the season games today at work with some co-workers. I have the Bengals and Panthers dropping all of their remaining games. I gave the Miami game to the Lions :D

Jets 23 Bengals 10 I think you have the idea with the Pats vs. Lions. It will be a high scoring affair, but not that high. Patriots 30 Lions 21 As for the Cowgirls, I put their season total of wins at 5 and they are not going to get one of those this week. Saints 17 Cowgirls 14
Saints, Patriots, and Jets will all dominate. As T.O. said, "[The Bengals] are terrible."
Shockingly the Lions are keeping up with Pats. This game is actually interesting. EDIT: completely got boring about 10 minutes later...
Looks like Julie had the pulse of this one and is going to come up pretty **** close on the score prediction!
Only 3 points off so far. Props to her, she's way closer than I would ever get. I try to never predict scores because I'm always way off.
Colts are playing terrible tonight... What's been going on with them?
Best part of football for me today was Andre Johnson (Texans) and Cortland Finnigan (Titans) fighting it out on the field and then being ejected.
Best part of football for me today was Andre Johnson (Texans) and Cortland Finnigan (Titans) fighting it out on the field and then being ejected.
Can you believe Andre Johnson got a game ball after that too? As far as Cortland Finnegan goes, I am sure there were a lot of happy faces after seeing Andre deliver some absolute haymakers to his head.
God is a Steelers fan? YouTube - Steve Johnson Drops Game Winning TD .. Steelers vs. Bills 2010
God is a Steelers fan?
Terrell Owens said while in Buffalo he thought of Steve Johnson to be a younger version of him. After 5 drops yesterday, including that one, I'd have to agree with TO lol.
If I was the reporter asking the questions in this press conference, I'd probably skip the locker room scene for a few weeks, lol... YouTube - Derek Anderson Interview Meltdown after Monday Night Football
If I was the reporter asking the questions in this press conference, I'd probably skip the locker room scene for a few weeks, lol...
I mean the reporter does have a point. I can't imagine what he could possibly be smiling about. Maybe he was trying to enjoy his last game in the NFL as a starter.
I thought that interview was hilarious! I remember when Derek Anderson actually was a decent quarterback when he played for the Browns. I think one season he led them to a 10-6 season, but they missed the playoffs. The next year was when the Cleveland fans booed him I think... or maybe it was two years later.

Drew Brees named Sports Illustrated's sportsman of the year | The Fabulous Forum | Los Angeles Times I'm pretty sure I've been preaching this for the last 13 years. You don't know how good it feels to finally see a little recognition. He's been underated for years. As a fellow Purdue alumn, I can proudly say that I know first hand the kind of stand up gentleman Drew Brees really is. He's a refreshing change from the Michael Vick types that almost seem to be the norm these days. (at least, as far as media exposure goes.) Boiler up!!
Its up in the air for the the NFC
Dan Carpenter (Miami) just kicked a 60 yard field goal. Easily the longest I have ever seen watching a game on TV and puts him in the top 9 of all time.
What does everyone think about the NFC West? Do you think if none of the teams go 8-8 that they shouldn't be allowed in the play offs?

Oh when the Titans used to be somewhat decent.
Watching the Cowboys v. Colts and that was a great blocked punt in what is turning out to be a really good game.
Bears got lucky for the 2nd time this season against the Lions. I am a die hard Bears fan but I am not fooled by our 9-3 record this year, we are nowhere close to being that good.
I can't believe the Colts came back, only to blow it with an interception when they had the momentum. Payton Manning is definitely not the Manning of a few years ago.

Should be a great game tonight. AFC East Superbowl!
Patriots! Patriots! Patriots! I didn't like Sanchez when I was at USC and like him even less now. Squash him Brady!
J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS! Truthfully, I'm a Giants fan but never a fan of those **** Patriots.
Had to pass this nugget along, courtesy of Globe colleague Mike Vega: Adrian Gonzalez is headed to the Patriots-Jets game tonight and he told Mike that he picked up Danny Woodhead for his fantasy team. Just another reason for Boston fans to love him.
