That stinks that they're going to be leaving tomorrow. Jazz Fest weekends are always great down here. Also theres supposed to be "severe weather" both today and tomorrow which would make filming them leaving nice and wet. Assuming that they do leave tomorrow that is.
Yep Severe weather and I had plans for Jazz Fest until the rain hit. Oh well. At least I got close to meeting them.
I'm sure you'll survive :)
It's over already. Wow. I gotta say I'm excited to watch this season. I hope it doesn't disappoint... and I really hope some of the cast members will check in on here...the way the Cancun cast did, lol.

I don't know if they will...from what I understand there's a clause in their contracts.

Ah, that's too bad. Maybe it's only while the show is being aired...

I thought that was what you intially meant, Michelle.
I'm surprised there isnt a ton of youtube and video footage like there was for DC.
Probably because they have already been here before. That or they are waiting for them to finish filming. I have a feeling its the latter.

hmmm... I would just assume someone wouldve popped out their camera phone and started recording lol we shall see =?
The cast has been there for a while now. MTV and BMP just did a really good job at concealing them this season. All of us fans just caught on too late. They completed they're 3 months of filming just like the past seasons. So yeah...its over already.. and im pretty much sure this season will be better than the past 3 seasons combined. DC-horrible. Cancun-God Awful. Hollywood was the last decent drama filled season that I somewhat liked. Besides, think of it like this; Honestly, how could this season flop in such an amazing city with so many things happening around you....lets think, SuperBowl win madness, Mardi Gras alone, St. Patricks Day Parade, French Quarters, Jazz and amazing music, Cafe Du Monde, Jazz Fest, toothbrushes, all the in house drama. Just to name a few. You really cannot go wrong in N.O. Plus I think the cast looks amazing.

What?
We knew the exact street address well before the cast was even in the house and have known the entire cast for quite some time.
I wouldn't really consider that a "good job at concealing them."

For you maybe.
I agree wholeheartedly with the second half though. We had a lot of events though I can't be sure if they attended Jazz Fest last night. But Molds says they went.

Excuse me, I mean to say they did a "better" job a concealing them. Besides, isn't it normal for you guys to know where the cast will live exceptionally early? In some cases before the roommates even know about it? When I look back at the old threads about previous seasons it seemed much easier to figure out the full cast and bio's. This season seemed to have been a more difficult puzzle to put together. That's where I was coming from by saying BMP is getting better.

No, normally we find out where the cast is living after they get there (we were well ahead this time around as we caught them reusing an ad for crew which gave away the location and then we were able to narrow down the house via public records.) We found the bios right on schedule (some in the first weeks and then gradually filling out) and we will get the rest of the information at the normal pace (i.e. the cast is home, telling all their friends what happened and their friends or friends, friends will sign up and post - well before the season airs in late summer.)
The only difference between this season and last, is with DC we had zealous bloggers seeking their own 15 minutes of fame inserting themselves into the story and drama which made it seem like there was more pertinent information pouring out. There really wasn't.
Nope, we are right on schedule and awaiting a summer of leaks and info. Probably a trickle, but it all adds up.
Sure, BMP made the cast put all their facebook pages on "hiatus" but that just confirmed who the cast members were (we could see the cached pages via google and knew immediately if a hunch was correct, which made panning out leads a much quicker process.) They really can't win in this age of technology...so why fight it? ;)
I do not know if they are still filming, but I was at the Red Eye last night, and I had a conversation with Eric Patrick. He was there by himself with out any cameras, but he was definitely there.

Filming supposedly ended yesterday, but some cast members stayed longer to enjoy the festivities.
I volunteered with a Katrina relief non-profit in late March. I was helping to restore a house in Central City, NO when a crew member came up and asked to use my ladder. I asked him what he needed it for and he said he wanted to get a shot of a mural that had an inspirational message on it. He then said he was part of a documentary called the "Real World" like I've never heard of it before :P The same week there were filming notifications just down the street, in an area that volunteers were told not to go to alone because it was dangerous. I was hoping that they were going to get the cast involved in a few restoration activities that we had going on, but that never happened. I'm assuming they were just filming the area for little snip-its throughout the episodes. The area I was in had a lot of poverty and sirens sounded all hours of the day as police drove by, constantly checking on the neighborhood. One night I was grilling chicken when a lovely women came up with her son and daughter asking for a piece. This is the New Orleans I want to see, but I'm guessing a majority of the season will focus on the party scene.

Aww, thats so touching and sad. What did you end up doing?
Also, we don't know yet if they are doing the party thing or not.

Thanks so much for the help down there. I'm loving how my hometown is rebounding, and the Superbowl was a well-deserved kick in the pants, as well as the 2013 Superbowl.
Looks like they might of left a couple of weeks to early, this oil thing could of been a good story.
They got a full 3 months of filming in.

I'm going to NO next month. Got any recommendations on where to hear good "local" music? Away from Burbon St. Thanks!
Interesante. Not surprising, but interesting.

He's friends with her and Derek on FB, so it's not too shocking. There's no roommate that has no friends, meaning everyone left with a new friend in NOLA.

He knew Derek and Jonna before leaving for NOLA. I have no idea what you're trying to say.
Basically everyone in this cast meaning Season 24 left with atleast one friend.Im saying this based off early reports saying everyone hated Ryan and noboby liked him but he's fiends with Sahar on FB and everyone elses accounts have multiple castmembers so everyone left with a friend .Sorry for that molds.
