You're not alone! I was rooting for Adam to win. I didn't think he was going to because Kris displays more of the pop culture image. It's really in Adam's best interest that he didn't win because he is way too indy for Circle 19. There would've been fights over creative control of the album.
You can so tell that Kris thought Adam was going to win. He was in absolute awe when his name was announced!

I thought completely opposite...I felt that they tried to Make it the "Jesus abiding Good Boy" Vs the "Devil worshipping Gay Drag Queen"
Either way doesn't matter to me because the only American Idol winner's album I ever bought was Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway CD.
Although if Adam comes out with the right music I would buy his album as well.
I bet there are record execs falling over themselves to sign Adam now.

I have to say I strongly disagree, there is no where for him to go... people like the pop sounding music. I live in NYC and if anywhere there would be a market for his kind of music, I think it would be here. But they just canceled a radio station 92.3 krock because it was not doing well, now they play the same type of music everyone else does.
Also I think that it is crazy for people to say Kris does not have talent, the man can sing play guitar and play the piano. Also he made every single song he sang sound like he can make a recording out of it.

I am a huge Kris fan, and I was very happy that he won. But I am certainly not going to take anything away from Adam, that man can sing. There is no doubt about it, did you see him with Kiss? There is no way that Adam is just going to fade away into obscurity. I hope we do get to see more of Adam, and he has a great career in front of him.

I never said he doesn't have talent, I said watching him perform (in the actual ones I saw) is like watching paint dry...I was bored. He does have a great voice and he is a very talented instrument player as well but would I buy his album...no. I [I]might[/I] listen to a song of his on the radio. I am pretty eclectic when it comes to music, I like everything from Abba to ZZ Top and I have favorites in each category.
Kris kinda reminds me of a Ryan Cabrera/James Blunt/John Mayer type musician while Adam reminds me of a Steven Tyler/Jim Morrison/Mick Jagger type of musician.

Fantasia has mos def done better than Diana and on a musical stand point better than Jennifer. Same with Cook over Archuleta

I didn't pick either of them to have done the best, if you didn't notice...because Jennifer Hudson did better than both of them combined and I was not going by only music...I also didn't pick David Cook or David Archuletta because both are doing okay for theirselves right now.

I love seeing the screenshots on websites and in things like news articles with Kris' face when Ryan said his name, he really looked so shocked.
I thought that there were alot of good performances in the finale, I really liked Kris' perfomance with Keith...(his last name escapes me for some reason) and Danny's preformance with Lionel Ritchie.
I know Kris is married, but does he have a daughter too? I wondered if that was the little blonde girl with his parents and his wife, but I didn't hear it mentioned. She was so cute!

Oh I wasnt saying you in particular, but there were many colums written that if Adam didnt win it was because America was homophobic... which I feel is both insane and insulting. No one is taking away Adams talent, but there are a lot of people (myself included) that dont like screaming. One of my favorite artists is John Mayer, so Kris is who I was in love with. Diffrent strokes...., I just think people either loved or hated Adam, there was no in between, and I think that was the kiss of death

Both Fantasia and Diana had lengthy and successful stints on big Broadway shows -- Fantasia with "The Color Purple" and Diana with "Hairspray." They both have albums that are for the most part ignored. So the only difference (to me) is the fact that Fantasia actually won the show.

I've seen Fantasia perform, she was opening for Kanye West...she was HORRIBLE.
