My friend just walked out the door a few minutes ago to head to Michigan, and she took just a vest. I repeatedly said "are you SURE you don't want your jacket?" She said "I checked the weather, it's supposed to be in the 50s" and I said "...are you SURE you don't want your jacket?" Anyway, I am glad to see Matt in the top 12, or 13, or whatever the eff they decided on. My friends tell me that he's really talented, so maybe I'll have to actually start watching American Idol (gasp).

By next week, it will be in the 30s again. :(

I'm glad Anoop turned the competition around. Making it a Top 13 was a good decision. And thank you Kara for spilling the beans about it being a pop competition instead of substance. Way to go! And then she went up to the judges podium and just stood there with her head down. If that was a gimmick it was a good one because I thought I heard her laughing.

Tatiana sang Saving All My Love For You again! I think that's what ***ked her. She tried to say that she didn't have enough time to prepare a new song. She also copy catted Jorge saying that when she's really emotional, she thinks in Spanish. Anyway.... I think the reason there is a "top 13" is because they're gonna disqualify Adam over the "racy" pic that has surfaced on the internet.

It may also have to do with the fact they when people think of the show they think of family time, lol. Beats me.

You know, sometimes I just want Paula to shut up. It may be because I'm sick and cranky. I dunno. I really just want her to hurry up and pass out. Can someone put a little more vodka in her Coke?

It's official. These judges are deaf. Adam sounded horrible. He squealed that whole song. Is anyone else watching? Ugh.

Adam, Scott and Matt sounded horrible to me. Anoop was great in my opinion. I also liked Kris, Jamine, Lil, and Allison.

Lil: Not a bad show opener... Was it the best of the night? Not at all, but I'm curious as to what she can do, so I'm looking forward to seeing her in subsequent weeks. Scott: He's gonna get old really quick unless he starts attempting to do things outside of his element. Big deal... He can sing and play piano. That's all I see with Scott right now. Danny: Excellent! He remains a front runner and I don't care what Simon says! The way he was dancing shows a fun stage presence. Michael: The upside to his performance is that he definitely made the song his own. My main criticism is that I'd like to see a rougher side of him come out since he's a "roughneck." He really needs to play the tough, blue collar image a little more instead of the the conservative family man. I wish he would experiment with some rock or even country. Jasmine: She's a pretty girl that can sing and that's about it. She made a good attempt to put make the song her own, but I really think that's one of the songs that shouldn't have been attempted, though. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but most of the contestants picked songs that weren't really well known. Noone picked [I]Thriller[/I], [I]Bad[/I], [I]Billy Jean[/I], etc... There was only a few songs in tonight's repertoire that I actually had heard of by him. I think the majority of the cast made good song choices. Kris: That boy is one of them that's still lovestruck right now cause he's a newlywed. I could almost see the hearts shooting out of his eyes. He definitely picked the right song. I think he'll last several more weeks as long as he keeps picking high energy love songs. It also helps that as either Paula or Kara said, he is sooooo adorable! WOOF! Allison: I loved her outfit, but I think her song should've been arranged so that it sounded tougher. She's another one of my favorite contestants this year and I so hope they do an 80s week! I think she could do a Joan Jett song way better than Amanda Overmeyer did, [I]I Hate Myself For Loving You... [/I]The way she was dressed tonight, she actually reminded me of Joan Jett. Anoop: Bad mistake with song choice. He should've done a lesser known song like several of the others did. I think he screwed himself and am preparing myself to see him go home tomorrow night. Megan: If she makes it through to next week, which I'm sure she will, she better realize that that was her Get Out Of Jail Free card! What in the world was that girl thinking?! Jorge: We just don't know what kind of singer/performer he is just yet, or do we? I really think he would do better in the Latin market. Singing in English really isn't his thing. I'm predicting 9-11th place for him. Puerto Rico's vote alone isn't going to carry him too far. Adam: Excellent performer! He was definitely the most emotionally connected to his song of all the contestants tonight. If there were any vocal problems, then they definitely weren't noticeable. I'm not going to call him a front runner right now, but he definitely bears watching. Matt: Ehh... Passable performance. Middle of the road kind of guy. 5th-7th place. He has no wow factor whatsoever. He's got his work cut out for him. Alexis: I think she got gipped as far as time goes as well as the voting phone number. I think she's also the wrong image for a blues singer. I want to see her do more uptempo, fun, girly stuff. As far as I'm concerned this week was just a free pass for her by getting to perform last. I'm going to be far more critical of her in the upcoming weeks.

^ ouch "hate" that was a little too strong. Jake just said he wasn't a fan. Plus she isn't even in the same league as Carrie.

My top 4 for this season: Alison, Adam, Lil rounds, and Danny! Past that idk how it will turn out.. This is one of the best groups they ever had. They are all very good. There is no bad person in the 13.
