I read that they changed it up cause they think viewers would get bored seeing the same faces week after week. I totally disagree. I think it was probably Simon's idea so that he gets some kind of say on who gets into the top 12. He probably thinks there were certain people in the semi finals getting eliminated too early the past few seasons or something.

This was probably designed so that if the people that the judges want to see in the top 12 are not chosen by America. They get to put there pick in, they had to think of a way to get around America choosing all of them. My guess is there is someone they really want to shove down our throats. Wonder who that could be?
Have you seen the things they have been saying about Danny( I think that is his name, the one whose wife past recently) Horrible things about him pimping his wifes death. I would like to tell those people to shut up! Have some respect and leave him alone!
I have a feeling that the Wild Card episode will not be live. I think the judges have already made their picks and after tonight's top 12 are selected, they're going to tape the wild card episode.
I'm not sure what it is about the new format, but it feels like we are quite a ways in and I still don't know who three quarters of the people are. I mean, I've watched every episode and it feels like I haven't seen many of these singers, [I]once.[/I]

That's how I use to feel when I first started watching the earlier seasons. There was always one or two I didn't immediately recognize.
