The intention behind it was good, but the purpose was pointless, since it wouldn't stop White cops to kill Black people...sadly !

but it isn't only white cops killing people and it isn't only black people getting killed by cops so...

DUUUH ! Really ? But this picture was a straight reference to that, and this girl wanted to show that Black protesters were in fact peaceful and wanted to create a dialogue with cops who wanted to hear none of it.Also, Black people are the most incarcerated people in the USA while White people doing the most crimes, so even though White cops doesn't always killed Black people, they still treated them pretty badly and may I even say worse than any other group of people.

If you're going to say such things, gotta show the proof of such facts.

2013https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2013/crime-in-the-u.s.-2013/tables/...

Have you compared the numbers with the race percentages of the population?

But what would it change since as a whole, White people are still committing more crimes ??

Because there's God knows how many more of em. Saying a certain race, that commits more crimes, are a bigger liability, makes it seem as if race somehow depicts your likelihood of being a criminal. The whole point is, your skin colour doesn't decide whether you'll do  good or bad.

EXACTLY ! And this is why it's a problem, because Black people are "oppressed" may I say (evn though the term is quite strong) solely based on their skin colour. We are portrayed in the media as the biggest criminals ever in the US, the worst group of people since we are (drug dealers, rapists, sexual predators, criminals) and most of people cosigning that idea, hence why Black men are more likely to be incarcerated and shot down by cops, while in fact, White people are committing more crimes.

I'm sorry but you are being both anti-racist and racist at the same time. This isn't about which race commits more crimes. This is about the fact that certain cops, who may or may not be racist, are treating black people differently in a negative aspect. By which i mean shooting them unnecessarily.

So now I'm racist because I pointed the fact that YOU asked ?Also, I think you didn't understand what I wanted to point out. So, I will repeat in a nutshell. The fact that certain cops are treating black people differently in a negative aspect is solely based on their skin colour. (So it's racist) Sadly, there is an agenda (believe or not) that Black people are more dangerous than anybody else (which is not true, and hence emphasize the racist purpose) and this is why not only it gives some cops a pass to act that way to any Black man they could find, but also, sadly, several others anti-black people cosigning it and think that we deserved it ! It's poisonous, dangerous and it will be an endless issue. This is why the BLM movement was created.

All of this is great and not racist at all. It's when you include that 'white people commit more crimes which makes them more dangerous' which is wrong. Not saying you yourself are racist but rather that thought is discriminatory.

OMG ! Funny that, because I have NEVER said that. I don't even think that White people are more dangerous... really ?

But yes, portray a particular race by saying how bad we are, how sexually depraved we are, how are nasty we are, how belligerent we are, by medias which are owned by a certain group of people isn't racist. Not at all, and hence why we are particulary targeted by those kind of aggression by cops ! Great !

To make that perfectlt clear, I never said or don't think that every White people are racist, but sadly medias are owned by this group of people and hence broadcast those type of racial stereotypes about us, black folks, which makes us appear as sexual depraved filthy and belligerents criminals.

Wait I'm late but I'm here.. I see that I didn't miss anything

So what does that mean? No elimination this week and just compete for 1st and 2nd for points?

If only things were that easy. Black team please say hello to your new teammate. Vevmo Games Veteran and site royalty...

Are you fucking kidding me....

HT, I'm not sure if I'm still within the time frame to talk about the BLM movement, but here's my two cents regardless.

I completely understand the necessity for the BLM movement. I think there are serious issues that need to be addressed when it comes to the black community in general. They have dealt with and continue to deal with harsh conditions in America. However, I think BLM has turned into a police vs blacks, or in even broader terms, whites vs minorities. This is where I think it becomes a dangerous movement. I want attention to be brought to the issues (highest incarceration rate for example), without pushing the blame onto other people. All races need to work together, including blacks themselves, to improve these conditions, it should be an entire community effort.

Pertaining to the BLM movement (while this doesn't involve the police shooting) look at what happened in San Diego this weekend. A man was drinking a beer and shooting people at an apartment pool. 8 people were shot, one killed. And 7 of the 8 people were African American. My heart goes out to their families. These senseless acts of violence need to stop. I know this happens everywhere but how are we portraying ourselves as a nation to other countries. It's really honestly super upsetting.

Hey everyone just got off work a little late will be home in 25ish. Richjoe and Mitch can also give out the pit stop if you message them.

Who wants to drink tonight.

I am pretty much agree with all of this Wink

Feel free to conitnue the disussions if you feel the need to. The time frame is for organizational purposes, but you're not limited to it. If anyone feels they want to further stress their stance on any issue, by all means, the TRR production team welcomes it.

Cool.. Okay to continue the conversation, I would just say I untimately feel like BLM is a movement without a direction. If you ask people if they support BLM, you'll get a lot of people that say yes. But what changes are BLM really wanting to bring? The majority of the publicity surrounding the movement has to do with police on black violence, black on police violence, riots/looting, and famous athletes protesting the national anthem. Really? Are these really the biggest issues, or just the issues that bring in the highest ratings in the news? Where is this movement headed? What exact policies does it want to accomplish? People say it's about treating people equally, ok, so what exactly does that mean? I think a lot of the real issues are being ignored. For example, are police really more brutal to black people, or does it have to do with the police's knowledge of how inner city thugs regardless of race respond to police (more of a shoot or be shot perhaps)? I know I don't want to spend more than a second in Compton or southside Chicago. If these communities worked within themselves to better themselves, with outside help, that's the only way there will be real change. I really liked Morgan Freeman's stance on this. I think that the black communities need to pull each other up and fix their communities within themselves. The BLM "movement" really does not have a clear direction, and that's why I'm wary of it and am scared that it will just further race tensions without actually fixing anything.

At this point I just see it eventually fizzling out with no real change, much like the Occupy movements.

One last thing, while I think that the abuse of police to ALL people brought about a lot of the BLM movement. I think that 98% of police handle their job fairly and do a great job. Especially dealing with bad areas and sketchy situations everyday, and being underpaid...They are brave and have to put up with a lot. However, I do think that having camera devices on police will hold them more accountable and will prevent abuse in the future. I think it's a policy worth investing in if possible.
