DUUUH ! Really ? But this picture was a straight reference to that, and this girl wanted to show that Black protesters were in fact peaceful and wanted to create a dialogue with cops who wanted to hear none of it.Also, Black people are the most incarcerated people in the USA while White people doing the most crimes, so even though White cops doesn't always killed Black people, they still treated them pretty badly and may I even say worse than any other group of people.

If you're going to say such things, gotta show the proof of such facts.

Have you compared the numbers with the race percentages of the population?

Also, in a little bit can I please see everyone in the living room. (Maybe in like 45 minutes)

HonestTea101 wrote:Last Question.Critics argue that the BLM movement promotes racism by saying one race’s life matters over the other. Do you agree or disagree and why?

no but it promotes segregation

So ALM would be the better route to take wouldn't it ?

No. Because it's an easy way out to avoid the problems that Black people are particulary facing nowadays. Any other people has their problems as well too, but Black men getting killed by White cops are too common right now to hide it by the ALM movement... even though the intention behind it is peaceful and harmless. (And I absolutely agree with it)

The thing is that we lived all of our lives telling ourselves "All lives matter", because we thought that black issues were past centuries stuff, but now we've realized that those issues were not totally solved, and it's time to focus on solving them definitively. That's why "Black Lives Matter" exists. And I don't discard that in the future we might have a "Latinos Lives Matter" or an "Asian Lives Matter", because in our subconscious we've buried all of the discrimination that dominant groups have ingrained in us, and it's time for oppressed communities to demand respect.

So why not, with an ALM movement, get rid of all race problems while we can? Otherwise this circle never ends. It'll only go from one race to the next and so forth. They may be certain people abusing ALM but they aren't the ones who decide what it stands for itself.

As a Latino man, I feel like there are many issues unsolved for our community, that's why I feel this is just the beggining. However, these are issues for another day, another discussion and another "matters" hahahahahaha.

Because there's God knows how many more of em.

Saying a certain race, that commits more crimes, are a bigger liability, makes it seem as if race somehow depicts your likelihood of being a criminal. The whole point is, your skin colour doesn't decide whether you'll do  good or bad.

EXACTLY ! And this is why it's a problem, because Black people are "oppressed" may I say (evn though the term is quite strong) solely based on their skin colour. We are portrayed in the media as the biggest criminals ever in the US, the worst group of people since we are (drug dealers, rapists, sexual predators, criminals) and most of people cosigning that idea, hence why Black men are more likely to be incarcerated and shot down by cops, while in fact, White people are committing more crimes.

I don't want the discussion to become a migration, crime and terrorism discussion, as we're going to have one near in the future, that's all. When the day comes, we'll talk about it in detail, but today, we're concerned to talk about police brutality, black people and oppression. That's why we must address Black Lives Matter first. If we start to discuss everything as a whole and at once, we'll lost focus on the main questions and then we'll lost any advance we made.

I remember I saw someone share this on my feed https://www.facebook.com/bluematters/videos/581309255395186/

this is why I love you. But the Milwaukee police chief is an idiot though, but what he was saying is true.

I'm sorry but you are being both anti-racist and racist at the same time.

This isn't about which race commits more crimes. This is about the fact that certain cops, who may or may not be racist, are treating black people differently in a negative aspect. By which i mean shooting them unnecessarily.

All of those issues are a part of ALM though. That's why i believe with proper leadership, backing and support ALM can unify a lot more people, tackle more issues and is therefore better than BLM. ALM is a never ending movement.

Also, I think you didn't understand what I wanted to point out. So, I will repeat in a nutshell. The fact that certain cops are treating black people differently in a negative aspect is solely based on their skin colour. (So it's racist) Sadly, there is an agenda (believe or not) that Black people are more dangerous than anybody else (which is not true, and hence emphasize the racist purpose) and this is why not only it gives some cops a pass to act that way to any Black man they could find, but also, sadly, several others anti-black people cosigning it and think that we deserved it ! It's poisonous, dangerous and it will be an endless issue. This is why the BLM movement was created.

You're right. Its barely a movement. It's considered denial of BLM rather than acceptance of every other issue as well. It's a belief many probably believe but very little stand up for. In that aspect, BLM is way better in that it's actually making a difference in places. I just think an ALM movement would've been more beneficial and sucessful.

All of this is great and not racist at all. It's when you include that 'white people commit more crimes which makes them more dangerous' which is wrong. Not saying you yourself are racist but rather that thought is discriminatory.
