Best/Worst Challenge Finals
What is everyone's favorite and least favorite finals? I have been re watching seasons and just finished re watching Seasons 2. Which I actually enjoyed the final minus the fact it unfair for Dustin/Trishelle who only had 2 members. My least favorite final was Exes2, only enjoyable part was TJ annihilating Jay/Jenna for quitting.
i have always hated and will always hate the rivals 2 final
The worst is definitely the Gauntlet 2 final, no competition whatsoever.

Same. The betting part was... unique, but it ended up being just an eating contest. (amazing season though, just a lackluster final IMO)

I agree, that season is definitely on my top 5 and the outcome was amazing, but that final was a complete flop.
I guess my favorite final would have to be Fresh Meat II, mostly because of the outcome. It kept me on my toes the whole way through because back then when I didn't know spoilers were a thing, I was thinking that Kenny & Laurel had it in the bag. I was ecstatic when Landon & Carley won though, since I'm all about underdogs. Not to mention Landon was just a great partner and person.

All of this.  My favorite final challenge was The Inferno because I loved the Seven Deadly Sins theme. I thought it was really interesting and knowing that Katie was a key player in helping her team win the final mission after they doubted her for multiple weeks was awesome.
My favorite final is Exes I loved everything about it; the tasks, the back and forth between the teams and the outcome !
My favorite finals were: 1) Rivals 1 = Great all around final. And I liked Evelyn getting her 3rd win, Laurel/Cara dinamic, Leroy/Mike trying to pull a rookie win, the eating challenge was kind of hilarious to watch, Kenny's loser reaction at the end, Jenn/Mandi horrible performance. It was just very entertaining. 2) Inferno 2 = Perfect Ending. Justice was served. 3) Fresh Meat 2 = The tension in not knowing who will get the win during the whole final and then Landon deservingly getting it. 4) Duel 1 = Mostly because of the people who were in there and there history, like Svetlana considering she had to win 3 duels to get there plus Jodi dominating record on the previous daily challenges. And I liked to see Wes getting his first win considering he did his thing physically and politically (by brainwashing Evan) during the season. Worst: Definitely Gauntlet 2. And Inferno 3 as well cause it was so predictable and extremely boring.
Best Finals. Battle of the Sexes 1 and 2. The Guantlet 1 The Inferno 2 The Duel The Gauntlet 3 Fresh Meat 2 Battle of the Seasons 2   Worst Finals. The Gauntlet 2 The Island The Duel 2 The Ruins Rivals 1 Battle of the Exes 1
The Ruins was probably the best set up for a final IMO...it was right before it got ridiculous.   The Island, The Gauntlet 2 & Seasons 2 had the worst finals I don't look at it as who won...I'm just talking about the actual course
Just speaking on a course level: Gauntlet 3, Duel 2 & Cutthroat should be the standard when it comes to finals...not an absolute cakewalk like Gauntlet 2 but not too much like these 2-day-for-no-reason, fly to a new location finals. If they want to switch things up but still make it hard, start making some All-day finals (sun up to sun down or 4am to 4 pm type shit).
I think in terms of how a final should be set up Cutthroat was the best example. Which Final was more difficult out of Free Agents, Battle of the Exes 1, and Rivals 1? Personally i think 1 would be BOTE with Free Agents being a close second. I haven't watched Rivals 1 Final.
I actually liked Rivals 2. It sucked if you were in first because you had to cut all the doors down but I liked how it was set up.
The worst is definitely the Gauntlet 2 final, no competition whatsoever.
I agree, literally just ate some roti...
But for me I'd say the Island was the worst because it was just a damn boat race and then opening a chest... Best I'd say is Rivals 1, I loved every second of it.
i have always hated and will always hate the rivals 2 final
I actually enjoyed Rivals 2 final. What was it that you hate about it? Heheh

What the fuck is roti anyways? EDIT: Ok just googled it and that actually looks so good.
They were going to do something different but there was a storm or something that destroyed it so they went with the crap final with the roti

everything about it. they told them they were going to Tokyo and then never went, and then there was, imo, basically no athleticism involved in the final at all. it was all puzzles and half assed running around a small loop. it was really boring to watch, especially watching Johnny and frank take soooo long at the math question station oh my god I was screaming at the tv it was so frustrating

the rivals 1 final was pretty hard, it was set up a lot like fa/exes 2 with swimming/hiking/puzzles/eating/a hard sleepover and then a huge mountain climb in the morning. i actually think the puzzle on rivals 1 was harder than the puzzle on FA. basically you had to memorize and recreate an entire campsite down to the last detail and there was no time limit so you could be doing it for hours. but I agree exes 1 was toughest. doing all of that in freezing temperatures and the snow is way worse
Top 5 Favorites 1) Rivals 1 because it was the 1st 2 day final and the epic conclusion when Johnny & Tyler took the win from Kenny & Wes at the end 2) Exes 1 because it was on a snowy terrain and the epic conclusion 3) Cutthroat because of Brad getting his 1st win and the way the Red Team dominated 4) Duel 2 because of the epic race between Brad & Evan 5) Rivals 2 even though people hate on it I liked it because of the way CT & Wes dominated and watching Bananas slowing down Frank was great to see plus the race between Cara Maria & Cooke vs Paula & Emily was fun to watch the only thing I didn't like was the 1st day of the final that puzzle was weak & eliminating the 3rd Place teams was weak Top 5 Worst Finals 1) Gauntlet 2 don't need to get into detail on this one lol 2) Free Agents only because of the random pairings and using overall time to determine the winner sucked it should of been 100% individual and whoever crossed the finish line first is the winner 3) The Island being allowed to pick the people you want in your boat completely unfair 4) Gauntlet 3 mostly because of the fact the Vets got DQ'd because of Big Easy 5) Seasons 2 just because of San Diego really had no competition
Top 5:  The Duel 2- stiff competition between Evan and Brad, it showed that we don't need 2 day finals to be tough.  Rivals- Cool twist with the 2 day final which was surprising, however now its kinda dumb and recycled too much. Plus I loved watching Jenn perform absolutely terribly. Shows that she really isn't good. I liked the whole feel of it. This was the only 2 final that I liked, all of them after just could not and cannot fill the shoes of the Rivals final. The Gauntlet III- Even though I thought it was bullshit who won, I liked it overall. I miss big team challenges like that. The Inferno II- I loved who won and it was fun final to watch. Cutthroat- the final challenge itself was awesome, the surroundings and the tasks were cool and unique to that season, but the winners at the end were some of the worst in challenge history.   Bottom 5: The Gauntlet 2- no explanation needed. The Island- it should have been more than just a 30-45 minute boat race. They should have had to do an actual final challenge on land and the team that got to the boat first got to sail away. Battle of the Seasons- I just wasn't really feeling it, however the sky diving was fucking awesome. Other than that, I thought it was very lackluster. Battle of the Exes II- it was a race between 2 teams, the tasks were dumb, and it was also lackluster. Free Agents- it was so unbelieveably obvious who was going to win, the pairings were dumb, and the fact that it was a timed challenge was stupid too. The rules of that challenge were awesome until the end when it resulted in a horrible final 6 players. It would have been such a better final if it were between CT/Bananas/Johnny and Cara Maria/Theresa/Laurel.
I loved the cutthroat final especially with the castle at the end.

Totally! It a awesome spot to cross the finish line
i liked the cuthroat final but i hated the results.  i was hoping for a blue team win, or even a grey team win.
The worst final has to be hands down The Gauntlet 2. Such a great season for a bad final. The best final to me was Rivals. It Looked so tough and it was pretty close and even the whole way.

There's a difference Best Finals (Structure Wise): Cutthroat The Ruins Fresh Meat 2   Worst Finals (Structure Wise): Gauntlet 2 The Island Rivals 1   Best Finals (Entertainment Wise) The Ruins Fresh Meat 2 Inferno 3   Worst Finals (Entertainment Wise) Gauntlet 2 Exes 2 Season 2
The island was so awful & anticlimactic. If Gauntlet 2 had a legit final, the Rookies woulda been screwed. Ibis (& probably Susie) woulda slowed them down for sure & they woulda lost like they deserved to .
