The Real World 27 - Casting

Its that time of year again. The banner on the casting website now says "Real World 27 Now Casting"

Anyone planning on trying out? I'm guessing open calls will be announced rather quickly or as soon as the San Diego cast moves out

I'm going to go try out. Doesn't hurt to try out and have fun meeting new people.

I'm going to tryout, it's a lot of fun, plus I just finished school, so I have plenty of free time. I've tried out twice and gotten to the 2nd round the 2nd time, hopefully 3rd on my 3rd tryout?!?!

Oh, and I'm definitely gonna go with a tape this time though

The San Diego cast doesn't seem as crazy as other seasons, so I wonder if they'll be trying to push this one in the "Cancun / Las Vegas" direction.

I'm going to wait, I can't really do this winter anyway.

Same here.

I had just graduated high school so I didn't know if that would be a plus or a minus but I guess they liked that and got a VIP pass to a casting call earlier in the year for season 26, but it was way too far. And I start college in the fall (Guns Up!) and I want to stay focused my first year.

Dude I envy you! I just finished in May, and I miss it already, being a grown up sucks haha

I'll be starting my second year in autumn and its not the kind of course where you can **** off for 3 months :( so unless they schedule a season for June to September, they're just going to have to wait for me :p

Anyway I don't think I'd even want to live in the US until I'm 21, your drinking laws are just mind boggling.

I can't remember where, But i remember reading something that said BM Productions wanted to start casting The Real World like how they do the bad girls club in terms of diversity and personality of the cast

Still thinking about it. Just don't want to be disappointed

If you make it, you make it. If you don't, you don't. Just go for it.

Hey everyone! I'm auditioning for Season 27 and with that if I do make the casting process and get to be on the show, I'll be the first and youngest Asian male to be apart of the cast! I'm nervous, but more excited for the casting process and see how I'll do! Any advice for a newbie like me attending a casting call for the first time? :) thanks!

The one thing I advise doing is going on YouTube and typing in "real world audition" or "real world casting". Look at audition tapes on there and think "OK, what did this person do wrong" or look at good ones (Heather, Mike, Adam, and Stevanas tapes are all on YouTube along with people who have made it past the first couple of rounds doing phone interviews) and think "OK, what makes this person special?". Size up the competition, basically.

How long does it take them to review your tape and get back to you, sorry I'm very clueless about the process as far as time lengths go..

boom shakka lakka.

yeah I read that before but I guess I was wondering how long should you wait before you know youre not getting past round 1? sorry if i worded that poorly

I'm strongly considering it. I think I'll wait until I'm 21 though and for them to be filming during the summer since I'm still in school.

Season 28 should be filmed in the summer right?

hmm I think I'm gonna go ahead and try out just to see how far I make it, even though I'm under 21 I got a vip pass last time so that had to like something. I really hope this season is in Miami, Chicago, or Dallas.

I'm not trying to burst your bubble or tell you they didn't like something...but a LOT of people have received VIP passes over the last couple of seasons. Some people have reported that the VIP line was longer than the normal line.

The VIP line was longer where I was at for season 25

There is multiple information scattered throughout this website (a simple search will give you more information) but the general idea is that if they are inviting you to an open call, you will get a response closer to the date of the open call. As they haven't announced any open casting calls yet, you'll probably be waiting quite a while.

According to multiple Facebook posts on his wall, it looks like a "Joshua K Wallace," who's 21st birthday is also today, is claiming to have been contacted and casted as a roommate for season 27. Anyone have leads on this?

If they find out you are active here, well... bye, bye chance...

I don't work for BMP, so I couldn't tell you. Fo realsies.

Yeah sure, I'd love to try out, just as soon as they start casting calls for 30+ year olds who are married. :weep: And I'd have to get approval from my unit to be gone for an extended period of time.

I wouldn't mind watching a season with older people who already have established adult lives. Would be interesting. (Or would it be Survivor?)
