General Video Game Discussion
I asked molds and she said it was ok to make this thread. This is a thread for any Vevmo poster who would like to discuss anything video game related. From news, previews, upcoming games, current systems, future systems, past systems etc. If you would like, you can also exchange Xbox Live GamerTags, PSN Names, World of Warcraft names, etc. I currently own a DS, 360 and Wii. I have about 40 games for the 360, and mostly play Halo Reach, Call of Duty, Borderlands, F.E.A.R 3, Splinter Cell Conviction, Gears of War 2 and Mortal Kombat. If anyone would like to exchange GamerTags, just pm me.
PS3, Wii, Xbox 360. Don't touch my 360 though, games suck on it IMO. PSN is UrbanTactics for anybody who wants to add me :) Mainly play WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2011, SOCOM: Confrontation, ModNation Racers.

I have almost every console except for a PS3, and to be honest, there's really only one game I want for the PS3 - Heavy Rain. I've been playing a lot of games on my Wii lately, like Wii Sports Resort, Mario Sports Mix, and Mario Party 7, although that's a GameCube game. Has anyone played L.A. Noire? I borrowed it from a friend - initially I hated it, but I started to really get into the storyline. I beat it in five days, and the ending was just... I won't say. Also, if you've played it before, you'll know the meaning of the following term: Suburban Redevelopment Fund.
I like to play Tiger Woods on the Wii with friends (Pro settings with True View.) It is a relax and have a few beers kind of game. I used to be big into war simulation games like Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, SOCOM, COD etc - but when I moved a few years ago I lost my super fast internet connection and basically quit cold turkey. It was impossible to enjoy online games with the lag I was experiencing (and 95% of games are so heavily built for online play these days that it just isn't worth it to me.)
I play Crash Bandicoot, Rockband, and used to play Mario all the time on my NES. That is the extent of my video game knowledge.
Gamecube, Wii Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, 007 Goldeneye, Quidditch, NBA Live, Grand Slam Tennis

I couldn't even finish it, I was so sick of it

Oh man, that is awesome! SOCOM 2 is easily my favorite game of all time. Have over 500 invested hours into SOCOM: Confrontation. I'm a huge SOCOMer :D
This is going to be sweet!
Fun for a week then it gets so boring and repetitive. I couldn't even finish it, I was so sick of it
The most repetitive part I'd have to say was when you were either a Vice or Homicide detective, and there was a part in the story where literally every investigation was about a dead naked woman. I almost quit, but I decided to keep going.
I have L.A Noire but haven't played it yet. Honestly I have so many unopened games its crazy. They need to make something innovative because their games are getting just as repetitive as all the Call of Duty games.
Gamecube, Wii Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, 007 Goldeneye, Quidditch, NBA Live, Grand Slam Tennis
I LOVE Smash Bros, I'm a straight BEAST with pikachu, lol.
I don't play much anymore but I have an Xbox360 and a Wii I use the Xbox mostly for sports games (NBA2k, NHL 2k, Madden, Fifa) and I like the comic book games likes Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Batman and what not. I play the Wii even less and I really only play the Mario Sports games and Super Smash Bros. I'm a machine at Mario Tennis for the 64 and Mario Kart Wii.
I LOVE Smash Bros, I'm a straight BEAST with pikachu, lol.
My top three characters in Brawl are Princess Peach, Ness, and Zelda / Sheik. Seems like there are a lot of Mario Kart Wii and Smash Bros. Players. Maybe we should organize a night where we all get together online and play.
I LOVE Smash Bros, I'm a straight BEAST with pikachu, lol.
Nice I'm decent with Pikachu, I love to use Sheik myself.
My top three characters in Brawl are Princess Peach, Ness, and Zelda / Sheik.
I love Sheik!!! My favorite to use!! Gotta say I'm not too shabby ;) haha
I own all with Ike and Mario.
I play tons of PC, DS, 360, Wii, PS3 games. My gamertag on all systems is Aereas. Favorite game of all time is Xenogears and I have never found another game which has come close to a "10" for me.
I'm huge in to gaming and currently own a Sega Master System, NES, Sega Genesis, Playstation, Dreamcast, PS2, Game Cube, Xbox 360, PS3 and a Wii but only really play my 360. I just finished LA Noire (I agree it got really repetitive in the later half of the game) and I'm currently playing Fallout: New Vegas. My favourite game of all time is probably Secret of Mana or Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past and I'm looking forward to Batman: Arkham City and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Have you played EarthBound for the SNES? I highly recommend it - It's a very quirky, but fun, RPG.

This is a trailer for the Nintendo Wii RPG, Xenoblade Chronicles. Normally, I would be very excited about an RPG coming to the Wii, but it's not even being released here in America. It is however, being released in Japan, Europe, and Australia. Apparently, Nintendo feels that there wouldn't be much of an audience for this game here in America. Currently there are multiple petitions and campaigns going on, urging Nintendo to release this, and two other RPGs here in America.
Have you played EarthBound for the SNES? I highly recommend it - It's a very quirky, but fun, RPG.
Yeah, it was one of the only RPG's I really enjoyed. Plus, the Scratch N Sniff strategy guide that came with the game certainly didn't hurt!

When I was younger, the local rental place had it, and I rented it at least ten times. Since then, I've been looking for it everywhere. On eBay it's listed for $100 for just the cartridge, but if you want the game in box with the strategy guide, you're talking $200 or $300.
I LOVE Smash Bros, I'm a straight BEAST with pikachu, lol.
Super Smash Bros Brawl is amazing! Especially the adventure mode! My top 5 favorites are Sonic, Link, Wolf, Zero Suit Samus and Snake.

When I was younger I thought it would be a good idea to trade in my SNES and games and got a memory card and a scattered game for the Playstation in return. I've pretty much regretted that trade ever since.
Super Smash Bros Brawl is amazing! Especially the adventure mode! My top 5 favorites are Sonic, Link, Wolf, Zero Suit Samus and Snake.
That's another game that I like! I like playing as Kirby, but then again I just press random buttons. I couldn't tell you which button does what, but you get it. :D
Super Smash Bros Brawl is amazing! Especially the adventure mode! My top 5 favorites are Sonic, Link, Wolf, Zero Suit Samus and Snake.
Yea I love Brawl. I got my friends, who normally wouldn't touch a game unless its Madden, into Brawl. My top five: Pikachu, Luigi, Link, Fox and Ganondorf. Did you hear that they are making another Smash Bros game for both the 3DS and the Wii U? @ Whoever said that we should all get online together for Brawl and Mario Kart: That's a excellent idea!

I can't say I'm really excited for any of the other games you listed, but I'm more excited for Mario Kart 3DS, Mario Party 9, Mario & Sonic at the 2012 Olympic Games, Super Mario Land 3DS, and Fortune Street to come out. If you couldn't tell, I'm kind of a dork when it comes to my game interests.
