Mark, Thanks for finding the issue in my calculations. It was an input error affecting only Episode 7, which occurred likely because I was live blogging and not checking my work closely. According to my calculations the perfect matches have been finalized. You can see it on the Are You The One? Math blog. A couple other people on other outlets have independently reached the same conclusion, although I certainly wouldn't mind Mark checking my work more thoroughly.
I am pretty sure the group knows the perfect matches are too and wants to go home already next episode. Jacy screws it all up on purpose by the sneak peak. I was just saying that picking John and Jacy for the truth booth makes it clear as crystal who the ten matches are.
At this point it's all over the web that there's enough info to know the pairings with a computer program. One could also discover the solution by pencil and paper now but it would be very time consuming and they don't need to solve it yet. If they use the 3 remaining truth booths effectively it would be relatively easy to solve the remainder for the final matchup. Will be interesting to see how many matchups it takes them. I seriously doubt they already know the solution and will "intentionally" screw it up. And if they do solve it early, does the show end immediately or will they remain in the house until the scheduled end date?
Kayla has posted a video blog where she discusses the last episode on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlgWjJb1Ko8 I don't get why everyone was being so hard on her in that episode that they even caused her to skip her date. They do know she's their teammate in helping them get to the prize, right? Brittany will be on FoxSports1 boxing Monday night - she's one of the ring girls! Pretty sure that's the least amount of a date they've shown so far. They said the 2nd and 3rd place couples would be paddle boarding to a romantic dinner, but with Kayla staying home and no romance between Chris and Simone they didn't even show the dinner.
Can clearly see the couples selected for the matchups and truth booth so far here: 'Are You the One?' Tracker | Tracking the match ups on the MTV reality series 'Are You the One?' Wouldn't be surprising to see Jacy and John paired up again as they've already been paired 3 times out of 7. Although they're obviously not on the list of perfect matches that is circulating. By the way, has anyone kept track of the couples who won the challenges each week? Now that we apparently know all of the perfect matches, it would be interesting to go back and look at how many right or wrong couples they had to choose from each week for the truth booth.
Of the 8 unmatched pairs: 1 has been matched up 5 times 1 has been matched up 4 times 1 has been matched up 3 times 1 has been matched up 2 times 3 have been matched up 1 time 1 has not been matched up yet I'm not displaying who each of those couples are here just for people who don't want to know.
If we look at the incorrect pairings, we see 1 pairing attempted 3 times and 6 pairings attempted 2 times. 2 of those 7 (Dre / Ashleigh and Ryan / Kayla) have already been to the truth booth. Another (Chris S / Paige) has been eliminated by a perfect match.
Shanley will be live tweeting from the official show page during tonight's episode at: https://twitter.com/AREUTHE1. Here's a photo of Brittany with the other ring girls during last night's boxing telecast: Instagram
Another perfect match chosen because they didn't like the person in the house. The cast knows the perfect matches. That argument seemed to be about John and the entire cast wanting to go home vs. Jacy who wanted to stay.

Shanley and adam are nice together
So do we think they're going to get it on Matchup #9 or will it come down to the last chance? Obviously they're super close now! Looks like most fans think Chirs T is being unfair to Paige: ?Are You The One?? Poll: Should Chris T.
Another perfect match chosen because they didn't like the person in the house. The cast knows the perfect matches. That argument seemed to be about John and the entire cast wanting to go home vs. Jacy who wanted to stay.
Well if the show is really rigged like you tell us every week, I'm sure they won't get it on Matchup #9 either, right? Because that wouldn't be exciting enough.
I kind of feel like they want the cast to win based on the fact they changed the rules and let them select any pairing to the truth booth last week. I wonder if they'll even bother with a challenge next weeks since it would only determine who goes on the date. Shanley says she's won 5 of 8 challenges so far. She should definitely be on future seasons of The Challenge! :tennis:
At this point they know 2 of the 7 pairings are wrong from Matchup #8. Now there are only 21 ways (6+5+4+3+2+1) to swap 2 of the 7 couples to try to get all 10 lights. 3 of those 21 possibilities have already been eliminated by truth booths (Ethan and Jessica, John and Simone, Dre and Ashleigh). This leaves only 18 ways to swap 2 of the 7 couples. It would not be hard to check these 18 possible swaps against the data from Matchups #1 thru #7 to discover the solution. On the other hand, it appears they are closing in on the win even without using a straight mathematical approach. But if they do miss on Matchup #9, they'd better figure out the math because there's no excuse to lose at this point!
Well if the show is really rigged like you tell us every week, I'm sure they won't get it on Matchup #9 either, right? Because that wouldn't be exciting enough.
They cannot force the cast to pick what matchups they want. Otherwise Kayla would still be in the house. Also I didn't say the show was had to be rigged, I said the cast found out their perfect matches or the show is rigged. Production won't want the cast to know their perfect matches unless the show was rigged, but my guess is someone from the cast got the information from someone working in production. Stop being stupid and thinking every reality show on TV is 100% how they show it.
Since I couldn't help myself, I went ahead and solved the matches using the known data listed here in less than an hour: 'Are You the One?' Tracker | Tracking the match ups on the MTV reality series 'Are You the One?' The first thing we observe is that Matchup 1 has been solved already. Dillan / Coleysia and Wes / Kayla are the 2 lights from that Episode. This tells us that Chris S / Ashleigh is wrong (since they were paired up in Matchup 1), and now we only need to figure out which of the remaining 6 guys Ashleigh needs to pair up with from Matchup 8 to get the solution. By process of elimination: Not with Dre (Truth Booth) Not with Adam (Matchup 6 wrong) Not with Ethan (Matchup 3 wrong) Not with Joey (Matchup 5 wrong) Not with Ryan (Matchup 2 wrong) Lastly, we check what happens if Ashleigh matches with John (and Jacy with Chris S). All Matchups now work, giving us the solution. Given that this can now be solved in less than an hour, they should be able to get it on Matchup 9, considering we know they've been keeping track of the data. While it would've been possible to solve for Matchup 8, it would have been far more difficult.
Well it did cross my mind that if they got 10 lights in Matchup 8 or 9, that they might refilm those matchups with forced mistakes. I'd be curious how long it would've taken to figure that out by pencil and paper method prior to Mathcup 8.
Last summer there was a CW show called Capture where they said in the credits that events weren't always taking place in the sequence or timing that they were shown. Almost every episode the "Captures" came in the last 5 minutes (out of a 4 hour period) of the clock. It was pretty obvious that the clock on screen was wrong and they were editing it that way for dramatic effect.
The next episode is promoted as the final one so they are definitely gonna get it...
Cast members have been talking openly that next episode is the finale, but I could see the episode going a couple ways. 1) Could be a normal episode with Challenge, Dates, Truth Booth, Matchup 9 (and win) 2) Could skip Challenges and Dates completely and just do 2 truth booths and 2 matchups If they miss on Matchup 9 it will be glaringly obvious it was forced that way because of how easily I just solved it using the known data.
Other thing I'd be curious about is what changes will they do for Season 2 if this cast indeed solved it by Matchup 8. Will they make it harder next time? I suspect at the least they won't give them a bonus truth booth next season.
Actually anyone who looks at the data would find Matchup 8 pretty odd that they "stuck" Chris S and Ashleigh together given that this is impossible with Matchup 1 already solved. It also was odd that they'd make 4 switches when they had 7 right.
The only matches I've seen cast members mention on twitter that aren't solved yet are Ethan / Amber and Joey / Brittany. And both of those matches were revealed by MTV online first. None of them (as far as I know) are discussing the fact that all matches can now be "solved" by math.
Here's the other confusing thing about Matchup 8. Brittany specifically said she chose Joey because "we were matched up last time and got 7 right". Yet Brittany was matched up with John the prior week, and hadn't been with Joey since Matchup 2 when they got 4 right. Hard to make sense of any of it when the cast members make incorrect statements like this to explain their picks.

I am so glad I didn't watch.
I should point out that there is one way that Brittany's on camera statement during Matchup 8 would make sense. If in Matchup 9 they get 7 lights, and Brittany is with Joey, than this would indicate that production changed the order of Matchups 8 & 9 (thereby making a true statement by Brittany to be false). Will be interesting to see if that happens. This could also help explain the pre-ceremony strategy session that seemed to be completely disconnected from what actually transpired (discussing making less than 3 changes because 3 might not tell them enough, only to make 4 changes).
This is from an article in Entertainment Weekly today: Viewers at home might wonder whether there was an intricate system or chart for keeping track of which contestants might be potential matches, but alas, the roommates went paper-less. “You really remember things,” says Chris. “Every person threw some kind of cognitive idea together.” Shanley remembers Ryan “tried to step up and be the mastermind,” but ultimately, the house went with their mental tabulations instead of any type of formal log. 'Are You the One?': 10 things we learned from Chris and Shanley | Inside TV | EW.com Now I know it's easy for folks like me, from the outside looking in, to criticize. But 20 of them in that house, with no TV / internet / music and 6 full weeks to strategize, and no one kept a written log of each matchup?!?!? Like I pointed out a few days ago here, with a written log of the data there is now clearly enough info to solve the puzzle in no more than an hour and win the prize on the next matchup. Anyway, I'll withhold any further judgment until we find out what actually happens 24 hours from now......... On the other hand, it's possible cast members are straight up lying about claiming to not keep written logs of the data. I know most cast members have claimed they didn't know about the cash prize until a few days into the game, yet if one looks at the casting notices that went out last year for this show they all talked about a large cash prize.
Are You The One? has been officialy renewed by MTV. Best news ever.
Since MTV is replaying the whole season today, I put together a list of the Getaway Challenge winners as well as how many of them were perfect matches. Interestingly, in all 5 weeks that they chose a wrong couple for the truth booth there were no perfect matches to choose from: 1) Jessica (1st girl) / Adam, Wes (1st guy) / Brittany, Shanley (2nd girl) / Chris T, Joey (2nd guy) / Kayla (0 for 4) 2) Dre / Shanley, Ethan / Jessica (0 for 2) 3) Chris S / Kayla, Dre / Paige, John / Simone (guys only competed) (0 for 3) 4) Jessica / Dillan, Jacy / Wes, Kayla / Ryan, Brittany / Adam (girls only competed) (0 for 4) 5) Dillan / Colesia, John / Jacy, Dre / Ashleigh, Ethan / Shanley (1 for 4) 6) Dre / Shanley, Ethan / Amber, Joey / Brittany, Chris T / Paige (3 for 4) 7) Joey / Ashleigh, Chris S / Simone, Ryan / Kayla (0 for 3) 8) Ethan / Amber, Adam / Shanley, Chris S / Jacy (3 for 3) (all couples eligible for truth booth) Won most challenges: Girls: Shanley (5) Kayla (4) Jessica (3) Brittany (3) Jacy (3) Guys: Dre (4) Ethan (4) Adam (3) Joey (3) Chris S (3)
